Man, I scored a "Hot Ones" Bingo! : - Sean says "careful around your eyes" - guest hates Da Bomb - guest appreciates Sean's interview skills - guest is surprised by Sean's question about the past that not many people know about - guest makes mistake of scheduling another interview right after
In Hollywood you always have "something else to do" so you can leave an uncomfortable situation politely. For most people it's just a friend (partner etc) that will call or text at a set time. Then you can stay or bail, no hard feeling.
My favourite thing is Sean asking his guest a really well-crafted and thoroughly researched question about some hidden event, idiosyncrasy, or passion that they have. The guest smiles and laughs before Sean's even finished speaking because they're so taken aback by the thoughtfulness of it. Has happened more than a few times now and always puts a smile on my face. Really speaks to Sean's skills as an interviewer and host.
I love how he takes the time to compliment Sean’s interviewing skills. He can now be added to the montages of celebrities being surprised by how much research Sean does on his guests.
I love when the celebrities compliment Sean for the good interview questions because they are used to getting the same ones all the time in other interviews and you can tell the celebs are genuinely happy about how much research he did about them instead of answering the same question over and over again. Imo Sean is the best interviewer not that others are bad we want to know the regular questions too but Sean just brings so much happiness into the celebrities by asking about something they thought no one knew about. There is even a whole compilation video about celebrities complimenting Sean about his great questions and you can tell they are genuinely happy and light up by getting a unique question instead of the same question over and over again.
It must be such a breath of fresh air. Especially because I’m sure they have an opinion going into a show like this. I agree, he’s the best interviewer around.
This guy is BY FAR my favourite Hollywood actor. He's lovable, and a BRILLIANT actor for those very normal people roles. It's relatively easy to perform a wacky larger than live characters like Jordan Belfort. But playing a tide rope walker, with an obsessive need to prove himself. Or a mundane co-pilot thrown in the worst possible situation, without overacting is incredibly difficult. And he does that perfectly. So many intense characters he's played I his young life. And yet still so down to earth and approachable and real. That's unique.

@@parryyotter Mine too but I can't remember seeing an interview with him before where he wasn't on a junket or talk show. This was a treat to watch. He lives in the moment and took his time and enjoyed even after he was told he had to go.
Julie M he’s a good dude. He’s always been serious about his work but laid back at the same time. He really is like a normal person and puts in a lot of energy to his projects. And he doesn’t care about being front and center and would much rather be behind the scenes getting his projects running and successful, which is why I don’t think he does many interviews outside of required press for films. I’ve seen a few over the years but he does keep to himself a lot.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt is my favorite actor. It took me a while to realize he did this interview too and I came to check it out immediately. I knew Joseph's beautiful and passionate way of explaining his ideas and interest along with Sean's interesting questions would be a great combination. I was not disappointed. And it was so sweet of Sean to constantly make sure Joseph was ok.
This episode is everything i love about hot ones • someone complimenting sean • celebrities being happy that they’re finally being treated like humans • jgl existing
Joseph is one of the great one's, he's genuine and seems like a really nice guy. Every time a new movie comes out with him in it, even if it's not one I'm particularly interested in I'll watch it because I know he's gonna give it his all!!! Stay classy Joseph.
I don't get it. He's worth an estimated 35 million dollars, but he won't spend pocket change to get a bigger a/c unit installed? If I could spend the equivalent of $30 bucks to be comfortable, I absolutely would.
Sean is probably the best interviewer I've ever witnessed. His questions and research from him, and his team at Complex are the best in the industry. I've never seen any celebs get blown away by the questions from other interviewers. Sean always nails it
I just love how everyone is always pleased with the questions they're being asked. I've never seen an interview where the guest is consistently smiling because they're actually enjoying themselves.
This is my most fav interview so far. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is one of my fav hollywood actors because aside from his talent he’s really smart and a man with substance. I love Sean too. So when Joseph said he wasn’t expecting an interview like this, boom I’m so proud of Sean and First We Feast. 👌🏼
This is the Gospel of your salvation. This is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures We are in the last days according to the Bible. Do you know if you're going to Heaven? Are you a sinner? Repent, trust Jesus and God will give you everlasting life. John 3:16 says For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life
Joseph being so surprised at how good the interview is and Sean doing so well really just makes me feel proud of Sean and what these guys do with the show. Even though I have nothing to do with it 🤣 Anyway, Joseph is friggin awesome.
What kind of person becomes a publicist? I mean seriously. I think it's a useless position for lazy people trying to ride the coat tails of actual successful people
Joe Watts So I could answer this because I studied Communications where we focused a lot on public relations. A publicist is specialized in PR, and any organization, company or individual who has a public image will need a PR rep (publicist) or a communications department. This is an individual or team of people that will help organize appearances based on their research of what would be a good channel for them to appear on at the time (such as Hot Ones or Kimmel, for example). They will often act as a consultant on their client’s social media, advising them on what they should or shouldn’t post based on their knowledge and research of public temperament at that time on certain issues. They also specialize in crisis management, which means coming up with a PR strategy if their client is caught in a scandal. So yes, they are very well educated researchers who are doing far more than just riding on their client’s fame, as you say. Hope this answers your question.
@@raahim11 no. In fact Sean has said in the past that he hates the sauce but keeps it in the line up because it's really hot. Supposedly it has a Scoville heat ofaround 135000 but I'm sure it's a lot hotter than that.

I love the taste of Da Bomb, it is pretty darn good flavorwise. Good but way hot. It is so obvious that this is the sauce that they sneak into the middle of the lineup, because they don't want people to suspect it. It is by far the hottest of the bunch.
Hey all! I’m commenting on this and a bunch of other of these video in the hopes that it gets through. Sean puts out interviews of people we're fans of. Then those people all become fans of his. It's awesome how everyone always says something along the lines of, "Great question."
The fact that they did more than half the interview with JGL having a glob of sauce on his face and no one said anything, including his publicist who is also on the call, is life.

haven't seen an interview with Levitt before. Wow, dude is very well-spoken and an intellectual. Very refreshing in an environment where celebrities tend to abuse their platform for personalized reasons.
You’ve been missing out. He is one of my favorite famous people.

This is the Gospel of your salvation.
This is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures
We are in the last days according to the Bible. Do you know if you're going to Heaven? Are you a sinner? Repent, trust Jesus and God will give you everlasting life.

Why did it stress me out when the publicist told him he only has 5 minutes
I think every one of Sean's interviews has that moment. I always look forward to it happening.
What kind of person becomes a publicist? I mean seriously. I think it's a useless position for lazy people trying to ride the coat tails of actual successful people
Especially when there's 6 min left in the video

That is kind of the point. Like, the premise of this is that the guests are going to suffer from the spiciness, so that's what Da Bomb does.
I love the taste of Da Bomb, it is pretty darn good flavorwise. Good but way hot. It is so obvious that this is the sauce that they sneak into the middle of the lineup, because they don't want people to suspect it. It is by far the hottest of the bunch.
