Final Fantasy 12 was first released way back in 2006 on the PS2. At the time, it was considered somewhat controversial by many Final Fantasy fans due to its departure from traditional FF gameplay. However, it is now looked back on fondly and many would consider Final Fantasy XII to be the best entry in the franchise. In 2007 the International Zodiac edition was released (in Japan only), and this version of the game included a more traditional job-based system and a new battle areana. For this remastered release, these additional changes are being brought to us fans in the West for the first time ever - along with high resolution textures and remastered soundtrack!

For some reason when I do this they stop spawning. I’ll get up and will have only got 300LP. All my characters will be in a corner and there will be no jellies. When I walk to the middle of the room they will all spawn again.

Another tip: If you don’t have the gambit “Self MP < 10%” for Charge shown in the video, just using “Self” works too. When MP gets too low to use Break, the character will simply use Charge until there’s enough MP to use Break again, which will allow you to use Break another 3-4 times or so.

A really easy way to get mirror mail (and also decent Gil farm with windslicer pinion) is in The Feywood at the Walk of Dancing Shadow. Just do a loop through the bottom two thirds of the area since it is only populated by Mirrorknights, then a short run out past the save crystal and in to the Rafflesia boss area so the Mirrorknights respawn, and then repeat.

I've done the math, and timed how long it takes to kill 1 jelly at a time. Which is 12 seconds from spawn to death at 4x speed multiplier. I even took into account that the exp rotates between 348 and 404. So in 1 hours time at 4x speed, you will get roughly 115,800 exp per hour. Double that with the Tippets, that equates to 231,600 an hour
so once you get around level 70 itll take roughly a hour to gain 1 level it seems?
Just tried this. Worked great for the 2 hours I watched it. So I left it running when I went to work. My controller died and paused the game.

Hahaha that's sad. I personally kill those skeletons at the shrine, each kill gives 1.5k EXP, doubled is 3k, got to level 70 within a few hours for all 6 characters.
My party is too strong and the slimes just stop spawning

A good spot to level up is Golmore jungle, when you have the embroidered tippet (time- loot- danger- nearest save crystal). There's undead in the area near the feywood that die with phoenix downs that give 5000+ exp with one character; and one is all you need to beat them, lol. Level up to when your bored and finish the rest in the henne mines. There's also like 12+ panther at the entrance of Golmore jungle, so if you have an icebrand (hunt reward) you can chain them for 50,000+ Gil loot, including courel pelt, quality pelt, pebble, warp mote (use in nabudis to get to zodiac spear) and storm magicite. With hunter monograph and the under one; you'll be rich. Original PS2 version, mainly. An effective but slightly expensive way to breeze through everything is to get a nihopalaoa and phoenix down everything. When you come up to undead, just unequip.

I did this and was really confused why my party wiped. Turns out the elite mark "Melt" spawned. Sometimes you get got haha
It's a trophy mark so once you kill it it won't respawn but if you did want to account for it just in case you could could set up some "Foe: Ice-Weak" Gambits above all other gambits and have your characters do actual attacks or spells against it. Melt is weak to Ice and Jellies are weak to Fire so as long as you don't use AOE spells you can have your characters take it out without touching the Jellies. This is where having Gill Toss, 1000 Needles or high-level spells like Shock would be very helpful. Or ... just defeat it before trying this.

Just a note, you might want to set up an additional gambit on your non-Breakers. Ally status = KO ---- Phoenix Down. Reason is that sometimes the Jellies will use Phantasmal Gaze to cause Confusion, and IF your characters are strong enough, they could kill a party member.
Good advice
Once my Monk got to a certain level she started knocking the crap out of other players even before my Gambits could remove the confuse
A top tip: before you set your controller down use a rubber band on the left joystick for your Break user to run toward the corner of one of the shut gates. This way your other characters still run around punching up the jellies like Floyd Mayweather, but your break user doesn't need to really move so the rubber band basically pins him against the wall 👍

Cat hoods work even if the character isn't fighting. So always have then on your characters who arent and tippets on the fighters = best of both worlds.
There is a reflect accessory called the ruby ring. When u were talking about the mirror mail I didn't hear u mention it so just putting this out bere

I think the main benefit of the mirror mail is the fact you can have a better accessory equipped. Double exp or turning LP into gil would be much more beneficial. Definitely worth mentioning the ruby ring though!
See but when can you get the ruby ring in the game, shit I wasnt lucky enough to find one until I got to like the cerobi steppe
A little improvement: chain the slimes beforehand, so they drop the big golden coin that can heal and buff your party. Don't put the steal-gambit on the Party-leader (not the time battlemage). My Fran keeps running and punching while collecting all the Golden coins and healing the party.

These tips are great. I remember the reks rng trick from playing on ps2 but I'd never tried auto leveling
You forgot the part where you can do this with only one character and they will get 3x the amount of xp as if they would on a 3 man party. Then that character can carry the rest of the game basically all augments + level 99 on a high damage class can already take care of all but the most difficult bosses solo
If you messed up lije me and your tine battle mage doesnt have charge. You can equip the cat ears and the accessory that uses gil instead of me. You get more gil then youll use so its another way of keeping this loop going. Just need mirror mail to prevent the poison and confuse status and youll go on indefinitly
Time mage itself has access to charge how could you f... that up
Found that when I can back to the game there would only be 2-3 jellies and I wouldn’t have leveled as much as I should. Added the gambit foe further steal to whoever isn’t casting break. Kept that character walking around enough to keep plenty of flans spawning.
I got here and after hearing the weapon removal suggestion (why didn't I think of that lol) I gave my healer a healing rod, that way whoever they hit my characters they cast regen on them and heal them when confused. But also at the start I'm keeping weaker weapons on my party because they increase evasion along with shields.

Very nice. It helped my play catchup as I played majority of my game with mostly 3 characters. I had Vaan level 54 while Fran was level 12 which made it tough when a party member died . So thank you!
Edit: lol I used turtleshell choker instead of using charge on my time mage and I gotta spend thrift trophy for spending a million Gil. With 3 cat ear hoods I was still saving money but very much less so
Not sure if this is what you meant but you can put Cat Ears on the characters who aren't being levelled to gain gil for each character wearing one.

I dont recommend that unless their license board has already been maxed out. You're still getting excess of gil at the end of the day. The zodiac spear only costs $1000000

another way I found is I only had 2 people that could wear mirror armor.So what I did was have penelo break and syphon...Penelo cure
I'm using this method now. My only issue is that the flans will sometimes push my party out of the room.
I did this on the pc version at junction A. The three characters all got a 13-20 level upgrade, however, they did not get to level 99 only 73 at max. This is because some how one of the characters exited one of the two open doors! Still useful though! ty!
What I’d like to know is where can you buy the buy break spell? And secondly why not just make all characters the same having the break spell to speed things up?
Curious why you have bangle on instead of thief's gloves or diamond armlet. Since you are going to be stealing, wouldn't that improve what you steal?
Very nice. Before I started my grind for levels, I'll start a chain of 70 kills or so first and while running around picking up treasure, my MP stays topped up. It frees up that extra gambit slot (not that you would need to utilize more than 12 gambits for this strategy lol)

I never had the problem of certain characters being under-leveled. I had switched through what I called, Group A, and Group B every 1 level. It kept all my characters at the same level and equal for any... difficult fights. xD
I do the same thing, except for Vaan. He stays out at all times.
lol I only had vaan, bacsh, and Ashe level 50 and every one else like lvl 20 so I had a tough ass time with every boss lol
I used everyone on my team constantly and my whole team was at 60 by the time I beat the game. I grinded a lot
basically same, sped up game helps a lot with grinding

When did you get your embroidered tippets? In ZA I haven't been able to find/buy the tippets or the golden armlets
Jordan Mansel poach coeurls. I’m lucky that I was able to poach two within the span of 10 minutes.
You can do this in a certain area in the nabudis as well and farm skeletons but i'm not up to that part of the game yet i'm just referring to what i remember when i used to play this on ps2. and the skeletons will continuously spawn there in that part of nabudis and you can farm them.

Here's a link to the FFXII wiki page just scroll down until you see the map for the Nabreus Deadlands and goto the Area named "Overlooking Eternity".
The Skeletons should spawn there infinitely. unless Sqaure Enix decided to patch that in the new Zodiac Age as you were able to kill never ending skeletons in that area in the Original Final Fantasy XII.
Hmm when I do this I take all weapons off but for some reason my characters are still damaging themselves and each other when confused?
I was able to do this without any poison immunity no problem. I set my white mage to use cura at HP 60%. Started at level 30. I'm at level 60 now.

I recommend going in to the nabreus dead lands. Besides having the overlooking entity where you can easily spawn 60 dead bones (they also drop high paying loot if you have the grimoires). You can run through the entire map and into the necrohol of nabudis and run through that as well. It's very possible if you have the weapons, armor, and you're around lvl 65. It's even easier when Reddas joins your party. **Also make sure you havget equipped your TWO embroidered trippets to help the leveling process.**
Great tip. Nabreas Deadlands is great with those fast spawning dead bones.
Do you think my level 21 penelo would survive with 2 others that are all up in their 80's?
jimmartin516655 put decoy on both your high levels and/or cast vanish on your low level. I levelled up low levels with high levels without either of that tho as they were one shotting before the enemy could do anything
Nice video, only thing to improve is that junction B is better and faster because it has way more jellies
Yeah Junction B is the definitive spot for this. The problem I ran into on junction A is that since there are less jellies my leader character has the freedom to move around the enemies (even when I positioned him into a corner) until he gets himself into the open door space and the enemies would knock you out of the area. I woke up one morning to find my party standing outside doing nothing. In junction B if you move your character into the corner walls he will stay there because there are so many jellies he won't have a chance to move around.
I'm at stage of the game that doesn't have mirror mail available yet. However I do have SLEEP and it works fine one the jellies. Sleep + Break + Charge + Escuna helped me get to 99 LV without mirror mail at junction B. And the cat ear gave me millions of gil at the same time.

You only need one time mage... The other 2 characters can literally just stand still in the middle of the room and you'll be fine

K dumb question maybe but I have purchased the Break license but all I have available to use is the countdown and not the break. How do I get that? I thought purchasing the board square just gave it to me
You have to obtain the spells and the license pretty sure you can buy break at some point in the story but I really wouldn't recommend abusing this unless you want the rest of your game to be a cakewalk (I'm talking walking through the rest of the game with gambits set up to attack everything on sight and basically watching TV while you run through the game... The only reason to do this is if you are somehow done with story and too low to start the post game stuff and at that point it's faster running around in the later area's building up chains and mass murdering adds
I use the forbiddens in great crystal all 60+ mobs and idk if they stop spawning I can grind out 100+ chains, I use genderman shield and Tarango cuz why not xD only use this for farming and leveling

I'm not sure if anyone else as had this? But the ones that don't have a steal Gambit just start killing off my jellies. I have everything set up like in the video. So now I've took to turning off all the attack Gambits for the ones that cannot steal, leaving them with heal Gambits. It works while my poor Time Battlemage does all the work. However if I have the guys with the steal Gambits set first, they are fine. Strange :/
Weird, have you unequipped their weapons? Best to just use a shield if poss.
I did everything you stated in the video, no weapons, only shield for the ones that could have them. I even made sure the armour were not doing anything. The only thing they have on other then their armour is Ribbons.
Weird but yeah, make sure all the attack gambits are switched off then is probably the best bet sounds like something not playing as it should.
Are the people that are doing damaged equipped with the barehanded licence? Because that's probably what's doing it.

Thing is you need Heavy Armor 7 to wear reflect mail. You can only power level these guys, what about the others ? My Vaan is a shikari/bushi, Ash is the White Mage/Machinist, Penolo is the Monk/Black mage, i can't power level them.
Just throw the best armor you have on them and set up a cura Gambit
How do you take 0 damage?
I'm new to the game and no where close to this part but i don't understand how they party members can kill the Jelly's if they are unarmed?
Break (only time battlemage has this anility) will kill those jelly. By using Break jelly will always respawn.
Would it work to cast Confuse along with Break so the Jellies kill each other and earn EXP faster, or would you not get any points for that?
Break petrifies them and it looks like the fact that they don't actually die but are stoned is what makes it so that they respawn. If they killed each other I imagine they would stop respawning.
If you kill them through "normal" methods they stop respawning.
Just tried it since I was there. Didn't work for me.
Falcus is correct they can't actually die or they don't respawn the Gam gives you exp for petrifying an enemy since it effectively ends most fights jellies on the other hand just respawn because they never actually died
A great not completely AFK but easy farm. Would be right after you get Ashe on the Leviathan. Well that alarm is going off a ton of Imperials will spawn. I was just about level 20 when started. The best part about it other then the easy and quick lp. They also drop potions Phoenix downs and sometimes hi potions. Though I think ive used 3 potions because of ashe and poison. Potions are their most common drop, Phoenix down would be next unfortunately high potions are a rare drop. I've gotten almost 15 sense ive started. Probably 500ish potions 64 Phoenix downs.
you can afk some areas for about... 90ish? Kills. Then you have to zone. in an about 30 minutes ive gain at least 500 LP.
Something I recommend if your mind ends up going: "Shit...all those item drops I'm missing.", just switch control over to whoever is running around and attacking the most

I had to turn all attacks off on my Monk (Ashe) once she reached a certain level

Remove your weapons.
What if you DONT have a time mage? Can any other role use break spell - as it’s classed as black magic
Only a Time Battlemage has access to Break that I know of. No other classes has it or can use it.
Try to use the Amcient Sword, that sword gas the ability to put break BUT the chance are very low, i think it's like 10% of any attack that you make or something like that
If you use it in the charactter with lower level using another carácter with Decoy so the slimes do not attack the low level you will be do some leveling BUT no us much if you have the break spell

I'm really not sure what's happening but my time battle mage has been getting KO'd occasionally of late.
Had no problem right up until time to level up the last 2 members of my party (Monk/Black and Mach/Red)
I had this issue since I started at level 12. It happened like every ten min or so, I did have a monk in my party so that was probably the reason for me since when they get confused they can do damage without weapons equipped. What helped me was putting first aid gambit on the two non time mage people as well as ally ko phoenix down. The death happened maybe every ten min for me but having 99 phoenix downs this wasn’t an issue anymore.
Your method works as far as auto-leveling and generating LP. When the flans die, they don't give gils. The only things I was able to sell were the Yellow Liquid and Water Magicites, but those were from loot drops and from the Stealing skill. But your video said this could be used to generate millions of gils -- how?
He said he has an accessory that converts license points to gil, on multiple characters it multiplies this effect.

noctis129 what level are you? you party shouldn’t take physical damage if you are lvl40 or more, do you have mirror mall to have reflect or something that makes ypu immune to poison?
@@nango4073 I got it working eventually. I had to level up a bit more and invest in more HP for my characters to be able to withstand the damage. I also had my healer do auto heal and when the MP runs out, had that skill where u give urself MP. And once it started to work, I left it on all night for 2 nights.

You can theoretically do this very early pretty much as soon as you can heal for more than they can dps and have break

Is there a minimum level you want for this?
If you can survive you're fine I recommend not bothering with the mirror mail setting a cura Gambit and you can easily do this at a much lower level
how come my jellies keep dying ?
for anyone who does this on the switch version of game, you will have to leave area after a certain amount of time otherwise the game will crash and you start back from square 1.
I left mines on the jellies for around 36 hours, no crashing, did you overheat maybe?
I've also left mine on for several hours and had no problem your switch probably overheated... Which is impressive given I've seen people run it for days on end without ever bothering to even unplug it from the wall much less turn it off what'd you do leave it afk inside your oven???

this leveling spot is awesome. figured it out on the IZJS emulated on ps3 (used ps2 classics). but damn playing it on ps4 now and i absolutely love it :-D have always wanted to play the zodiac age. thanks for all the help fuzz.
Easiest way to level to 99 and this is the easiest way trust me is to fast forward on x4 and move between the 6 screens before omega weapon and ring around the rosey every screen including the pathways making sure each screen is clear before moving to the next from level 70 to 99 is about a 2hour job trust me the easiest way equip embroidered tippet on all three of course
