My other favourite survivor main cc to watch is Mish! Sucks that she doesn't post much on youtube, but at least you can rely on her streams (though, I don't get a chance to watch them often lol). She isn't really biased towards any of the sides
Yes! @ProbablyMish has a lot of tips, and it was her videos that encouraged me to try new things, to be more brave as a survivor, and inspired me to truly pick up the game in the first place.
A lot of this is learned the hard way through experience because of how scarce good explanations are regarding maps. Thanks for bringing light to this RUclipsr! Will definitely check them out
This video made me realize how very little educational survivor videos there are. I remember scott and otz dropping a few looping guides ages ago but with the amount of maps and patches some of those are really outdated or don't include new tiles like the new pallet spawn on the jungle gym in shattered square.
I found tator a few months ago, he makes the greatest looping guides on youtube bar none. He's also very entertaining to listen too, I don't use Twitch much, but he's one of the two streams I'll lurk in semi-often.
I remember playing against him once and it was so fun! I was playing either Hillbilly or Singularity and he didn’t last the longest, but he lasted a while and it was super fun! His looping is crazy
"... or any other noob3 clone" Thank you for calling this out. I tried saying this once and the Noob3 cultists crawled out of their fucking holes to come after me. No, I am not 'jealous' of people that make content trying to have fun at other people's expenses.
I think part of the reason that most survivor content is the same is *because* most survivors are bad. You said so yourself in this video. Watching people who are good at survivor is interesting in part because of how unattainable it feels. Being good at survivor like those guys takes so much time that most players just don’t have
Exactly. Whenever i watch these generic survivor mains, it's very obvious they're playing against killers who are new, bad or simply aren't trying. When watching one of these videos i thought to myself "if you loop a killer for 5 gens/5 minutes, are you good at looping or is the killer bad?"
@@lillipton8838 when i was interested in the game, the only person i watched was noob3. And you can guess how bad it went. Thought that is how you are supposed to play.

Honestly, it's one of the things I noticed very early on when getting into DBD, with how educational content tends to be killer-sided versus survivor content being quick, easy, and palatable. It always made me wary of balance changes, since it felt like killers would get a guide within days but there was nothing for survivors. It took a lot of combing through random survivor gameplay videos to recognize strong loops like the Haddonfield double-windows or the RPD main office pre-split.
Killa thank you for making this video for @Mr_TatorHead , this man taught me how to loop the right way. He is very underrated and I hope that changes! Great video and a new DBD channel to watch :)
I want you to know the youtube algorithm knew it had only one shot to try to sucker me back into watching dbd nonstop again, and it chose you to reel me back in.
I think the best Survivor youtube videos that explain a lot about looping especially against experienced killers are the looping guide/checkspot videos by Noci, Checkspots videos by Exize, Zaynuh makes videos on gameplay but actually explains on what he does and how he reacts to killers in tiles/loops with little notes he leaves on screen. Mish is also an honorable mention. Flexcam is also an honorable mention he explains a little but not much but he actually shows videos of him going up against some decent to really good killers and shows off his looping skills at his best. He even comments on the plays from the killers he goes up against like the p100 Wesker he went up against and the Oni in that one recent video.

As much as I love skermz, and love showing his videos to people that are getting into the game. It’s because he’s very funny. I also think a lot of people would do well to watch streams to get a realistic expectation of gameplay. Good survivors get downed all the time. All of these players are so good and they die so much. The other day I got really annoyed at a comment regarding xenomorph tail dodging, where someone suggested “doing a spin or being punished for being too close to the killer” as serious advice. Run to flamethrower. Fire good. Wall good. Spinning is so unreliable and doesn’t work on many killers.
