I get that the takeaway here is most "unwinnable" matches are really just a skill issue, but it doesn't help the game's case to be saying shit like "I could've saved an extra 4 seconds" in a "Casual" game that has RNG fighting against you just as much as the other team and the Invisible clock represented by gens.

I feel like this is half of my games on certain killers, gens just fly. Feels like the only way to win as killer is if you can manage to get two hooks before one gen pops and when you play a killer with no map pressure it feels it was over before it even began sometimes. Some survivor squads are so optimal with how they play there seems to be little to no chance of winning sometimes.

3:47 could've been a two rush hit as well. As soon as you hear the window vault, you had the opportunity to rush and bump into the shed and either get a free hit immediately, or be able to catch up to her if she had Lither or smth.
7:31 was also a free rush that could've saved a few seconds, bump into the house, then line up the hit.
Video has a great message though. A very important thing that a lot of people need to realise.

You can’t get better if you don’t try, let your ego die temporarily so that it can be reborn anew and stronger. The few games of suffering and seeing “Entity Displeased” while they teabag and flashlight spam in the gates will be outnumbered by the endless stream of savory survivor tears in the end game once you have a good grasp of Blight. Just like with all things in life you have to start somewhere. At one point all you knew how to do was suck a tiddy, shit your pants, vomit, and cry. Man is both the marble and the sculptor and cannot remake himself without great suffering.

It really might sound like a very generic advice, but it is really a good one, talking from experience. Just be patient and give yourself a time to adapt. Eventually you'll understand basic bump logic and you will start to destroy even good survivors. I started from only doing daily challenges on him because I thought he is very frustrating too. But now Im very confident with him, and it didnt even took an astronomical number of hours to learn. My next step is to really understand some hitboxes, especially stupid ones like an entirety of Red Forest (god I hate those trees), or doorways. I also watch LilithOmen and it helps to learn what plays I can do in certain situations (I hope I will not become a Shadowborn addict tho)

I mean I always say the first two gens are free, especially when they are split. I often get the most pressure at three gens. Even with a fast first chase , and immediately pressuring another survivor. But yeah. If I lose my first two gens esp 3 , I will tunnel or camp. Or pretty much anytime I need pressure. Unfortunately survivors don’t play killer enough to understand when you’re losing and want to win too, you have to play a certain way.

The game IS survivor sided. All but a small handful of the maps in the game favor survivors, some more so than others, but in matches where you have a killer who brings the absolute best stuff avalible vs a premade team with the best stuff available + the map of their choice you are almost guaranteed to lose on any killer except for maybe 3 of them.

To me, that's what this video highlights in my experience, completely opposite takeaway from his closing statement of "git good", cause even if you did, the trial could have easily played out in the exact same manner, and there's a plethora of videos showcasing that from extremely experienced killers.
When you're including in an analysis how you wasted 17 seconds (about 5% of the total trial time) and how much of an impact that has on the outcome, it inherently means there's a balance issue.
For killers, a trial comes down to one thing, every instance - time.
That's why slowdown perks rise to the top in popularity, they can help make up the time deficit killers start every trial with.
Without slowdown perks, you need to get lucky, hope survivors make so many mistakes they cannot recover, or be going against less skilled survivors.
And that's the winning formula for a DbD killer, minus some exceptions of course.

I think the game has too much variety to be completely balanced, this game can't be balanced because nurse and trapper exist at the same time, and that's fine imo the game would be boring if every killer was equal and every perk brought about the same usefulness, average just feels boring, of course i'm glad that a lot of things that would break the game were patched out but i don't think this game has a way to reach balance.

I understand that yes it’s not an impossible game for killers. But it’s not fun when you go against a squad of survivors who are JUST decent at the game. What bothers me most about DBD is the lack of skill required to actually play survivor. Yes there are some skillful things survivors can do but a 8 year old can sit on gens and do skill checks. Nurse and Blight are the only characters I would say make it killer sided somewhat but it can still be difficult. If the survivor is at least good m1 killers don’t have much of a chance securing a win. It’s mostly based on survivor making mistakes. There are a lot more factors on why that could be the case. It may be map size it could be because pallets are too safe. But the DBD devs handle the game poorly really catering to survivor mains. I mean they released a perk that gives you 3% speed and thought it was ok.

When it comes to most modern DBD match assessments I see, especially from *certain* content creators, they often just constantly repeat "what could I have done differently?" and "I played flawlessly" without actually accessing anything meaningful (and it often feels more like complaining than anything else).

Im gonna be honest and keep this simple. Your mistake was not getting an early down. Getting an early down is crucial to winning or increasing your chances of getting a 2k or 3k and up. This was engraved into my brain when i played comp dbd. After getting that down, it depends how you want to play, either camp to second or go for another down. This all depends on what the survivors are doing, hanging around hook, or rushing gens and as well as what kind of perks youre using which may tell you where the survivors are. Also depends on the killer being used. Huntress can camp a lot easier than another killer.

I'll go back to your how to enjoy being a killer series: manage your expectations!
You went into this game, I imagine, thinking something along the lines of, "I just won six games as blight, but I'm not trying to win right now, I'm trying to learn", and especially having recorded the match, I think you succeeded there. It's still frustrating to get trounced like there, but it happens a lot less than the internet pretends it does.
If you go into a match trying to crush your survivors, you can usually do that with just your perk selections regardless of who you pick as killer.
    Excellent video as always, killa

sure the game might not be impossible if you played perfectly but I remind you this is blight, if it was any other killer he'd get steam rolled. who cares if the change makes the already strong killer stonger, it can't get worse then that, have something for those who don't always play top tier killers.

I agree with the mistakes being made although it doesn't really help the "impossible matches". Nobody plays perfect all the time, the crucial point is that survivors have a higher tolerance for not being on point and they can still take it home easily if they are experienced and swf. If you have 3 gens popping in 2 mins and the build is not a 3-gen for the endgame you have already lost in most cases (most killers start camping once they realize its over).
And lets be real why wouldn't BHVR make the game survivor sided, the game is asymmetrical and naturally has more survivor players than killers. Just take a look on how many costumes they have alone, thats where the money comes from.Hell is frozen before they will change much about it.
The only little solace that casual killers have is that you will probably still win a good bunch of games if you run into a solo q group of survivors that don't know how to play well, and I definitely agree that killers need to improve too instead of complaining when they lose.

I dunno man, i feel like the level of difficulty and rewards don't match. When i get too tired and get frustrated at nothing as a killer, i just play survivor and it's like night and day. Most of the time i do gens, i might get in a chase once in a while (which i lose because i don't play enough survivor to actually get good), but when things go wrong either i get saved by a teammate or it's just an easy "Go next" situation. The point is, the whole game is just not "on me" like a killer game would. Sure there is really good survivors around, but some weak survivors can do a lot of damage to a killer just by doing the easy objective which are gens. As a killer, i have to never make mistakes and use the strongest strategies to "win". As a survivor i can just turn off my brain and do gens and still do good. I dunno about the others, but when i play poorly as a killer, it gets rubbed into my face by survivors that just won't leave me alone. As an example; Last night i was really tired and played like shit as the Trickster. Instead of dc'ing which i should've done to be fair, i just waited for them to finish the gens and then i went to open the exit gate. After that i started to practice my aim at a signboard, because i had poor aim when i was throwing the knives. The survivors kept bothering me with flashlights and i ended up having to force them out. Anyways, i might just be venting, but it does feel like for the amount of work i have to put in as a killer, i have not enough rewards compared to when i play a survivor and simply turn my brain off. Also in multiple videos i heard the phrase "The game is in the most balanced state it has ever been in." I'm scared.

    • @3Konsti
      @3Konsti Год назад

Not really that wild if you take into account the skill disparity between PUBs and the comp scene.
In your standard public matches, MMR's not as tight as it used to be, most people are casuals and don't know how to counter an experienced Blight, let alone a Blight who's been in the comp scene (and actively utilizes comp strats). You won't find this in the competitive scene where a 4-man starts the game with a plan in mind, runs optimal builds, uses call-outs, and knows how to stall a Blight long enough to get the most gen progress.
Unless Momo goes against a comp team akin to his skill level, he'll never loose the winstreak.
EDIT: The winstreak was lost at 1947

2:28 All it takes is moving your camera as far to the right as possible before left clicking and then doing so again after that, if the nancy didn't walk away from the car predicting that it would have been a hit
3:00 Nancy has nothing here, you can tell me if its worth the 5 seconds and few rushes or not but that was a hit no matter what.
It's unfortunate that you did this video on haddonfield which is just a bunch of tiles and filler pallets. There was a lot more minor things I could have picked out but a lot of it was just how easy it would be to hug tech these filler tiles for hits which is where the hug tech actually shines in chase outside of mitigating rushes.
You need to go longer far more often in your rushes, you need to pre turn more if you are going for flicks, ideally you should always be going for shoulder flicks which is when your model is directly connected to the survivors for a guaranteed hit. As a said earlier I wish this was on a map with real tiles so I could give you tips on those as well, but big rule of thumb is always staying on the outside until you find the hit.
