I tried everything that online forums and Microsoft Support articles recommended with no success - spent several hours. I ran the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit, which tested my new Microsoft Surface Pro 8+ Type Cover and reported "Third-party keyboards aren't supported" and skipped the test. You are the only person to show how to recover keyboard & trackpad functionality by going into the BIOS.

this hasn't worked (three times BIOS) for my daughter's SP X - also have cleaned off connection points like suggested. any other ideas? Have also toggled into vertical mode like another tutorial suggested but that has not worked either. HELP!

Disconnect the keyboard, pull up device manager, and then attach the keyboard, then under “Keyboards” in device manager enable the new keyboard that pops up when you plug in the keyboard
@@That1EthicalHacker what if when click keyboards and it shows all the same keyboards for me it shows “ surface button keyboard device. There is only two and they are the same

will this remove my files and fave website's the biosk did come on i kept pressing vol up and down but the white biosk screen u said exit and restart after pressing all that the white biosk didnt come on i gave windows 11 brand new surface pro 8 and brand new orginal type cover from the main store too!!! so frust atm gta wait a few days to the local ups center to 1st return by mail then i think another week to get a replacmet:(

How do you activate keyboard cuz mine isn't working. I have the K10 tablet by vastking
Also on zoom I'm able to hear the other person but they can't hear me even with my headphones in. Even when I turn volume and microphone on. All the permissions are enabled for the app so I'm not sure why that's happening. It's really annoying. I don't know if it's a zoom issue or my tablet but it's a new tablet
