That's why I love channels like ifixit or Jerry rig everything, most companies don't want their products scoring badly on popular websites or RUclips channels, and most of them try to improve the build quality and reparability of their devices.
      This is great for consumers.

I would say the real reasons they made it modular are: To make Apple look shameful and to attract cooperates to get this thing, knowing that no privacy information can be leaked out when they sell these things after a couple of years instead of putting them through paper shredder

Battery is non replaceable, access to internals requires hours of risky screen and metal shield removing. To reassemble will be even more pain in the ass to replace those shields. SSD type is hard to find and very expensive. So how does it get a 6/10? That's just bizarre...

Actually it's quite possible it can be an NVMe SSD, since previously Microsoft had already sourced BGA chip SSDs from Samsung (specifically the PM971a, identified in the Surface Pro 5 teardown as KUS020203M-B000), most likely the SSD in this tablet would have that style of SSD in a M.2 FF.
Edit: Toshiba is the only one I found on Google that has an SSD in that such form factor: www.servethehome.com/toshiba-bg4-single-package-m-2-2230-30mm-nvme-ssd-review/

I assume that they are getting the case included with the battery. The battery will act as a guide for the rest of the components like motherboard and such to be placed so it will not slide around and reduce manufacturing/repair error. And besides, if they need to ship something, its safer to ship the entire case with the battery inside it since it will be less likely to be bumped around and get damaged.

this assessment is wrong. you can't give a 6 out of 10 on reparability when the battery is glued in like that. true score should is 2.
    3 max.
the battery will be the first thing to go, and when it does, 99% of users will have no choice but to throw away the entire device or pay microsoft some ridiculous replacement cost. no one should buy these devices.

I'm kinda _really_ curious how many people _actually_ give a shit about the repairability of such a device other than those stupid enough to drop it. It's like the Bugatti Veyrons reported top speed of 431 km/h - Who needs this? Less than even the 1%ers. What's the PRO? You get high scores in Magazines that give a shit. What's the CON? It drives production cost up like mad and does little for the vast majority of end consumers that treat their devices with care like they should.

Did you watch the video? It's obvious a guy did the teardown and she voiced over it. Learn to understand satire lol
