Why havent i heard of you before!?
You have great humour and are alot of fun to watch, even tho im a nissan fanatic even i didnt know some of these quirks you showed, im going to work hard to own a Z33. It is a little costly here in finland, the cheapest ones i could find are about 10 000€ and automatics, i dont mind the roadster with an auto gearbox, it kinda suits the Gran Touring name, but the coupe is a must with a manual.

I remember reading somewhere that the reason the dipstick is so terrible is because the engine was designed to be mounted transverse. This is why the intake goes to the rear of the engine.

I've found that the best way to get a reading on the 350z dipstick is to leave it overnight and check first thing the next day. At least it has a dipstick though my old E90 didn't and I had to wait for the engine to warm up to get a reading.

Have your fuel tank vent checked. There shouldn’t be pressure build up, as the tank empties.

Great video, love the color. I'm in the USA and have a silver 2008 roadster, recently bought. I dreaded checking the oil but it turns out this car has a normal diipstick. Be interesting to know if this is true for other countries. Also, I've read that the three squares represent the past, present, and future of the Z. All three are looking good!
How can u say u dont like the convertible..... a 350z is a 350z like cant you appreciate it. But dont get me wrong i lowkey prefer the hardtop to the convertible

im british and i say ZEE instead of ZED sounds Better even if it is wrong Pronunciation in BRITAIN
Modern day BMW has the worst oil dip stick, Takes like 10 mins to measure the oil level because it don't have one.

The rx8 which he mentioned has one of the worst out there as the ring to pull it out is too deep inside the engine bay which results in second to third degree burns if the car is hot

Here's a couple of things you might not know Adam,
You can actually change the rpm when the red light appears on the gauge to shift gear from the instrument cluster pod.
Also, on the coupe at least the windows when you open the door lower slightly and raise up again after you shut the door to prevent damage.
They do the same on the convertible when you open the door and should open when he drops the roof he must have a problem with his z
there is a boot manual cable inside car.
1958 Jaguar Mk 1 3.4- dip stick is about 15cm long, underneath the exhaust manifold. Not ideal at all.
Just add a small wing and it will be perfect

Why does he keep saying both “Zed” and “Zee”? I know that we Americans say “Z(ee)” and the Brits say “Z(ed)” but rarely do I ever hear either of them of say both....🤨🤔

Had my z 5 years and still not managed an oil reading 😭😭. No problem as I change it every 3-5000 miles
Did you know the Engine in the 350Z is from a Renault Velsatise People Carrier unlike the 370 Z which has a Nissan engine 😊
Nope. The engine was created by Nissan, but first used by Renault.
The 370Z's engine is a development of the same VQ engine.

The worst dipstick location i have ever come across on a car is on a clio 172 / 182 there a bloody nightmare to get to.
Bs, its bit harder then normal but its not impossible and its straight. And they dont use oil , so you’ll never need to look
i read a lot of complaints about suspension bushings etc...is it just something to consider and fix

How long have you owned this, before finding the book under the seat? I'm a messy twat, but the first thing I do with a car is vac and clean the inside. You seen that Top Gear where they get a forensics guy to examine those E30s? It's grim.
I actually put the book underneath there, and completely forgot about it. I also keep my cars as spotless as possible.

What does the button do that’s under the latch of the glovebox behind the passenger seat?
Its to move the seat quicker to get to glovebox the switches he used are just for seat adjustment the switches on back of seat are for getting to the glove box
