I like this move for both the America East and Bryant. Bryant has designs for upward mobility athletically and academically and I think this move allows them to better pursue those goals. For the AE I think Bryant is as good of a fit as they could hope for with a lack of any good public school options. Would like to see Quinnipiac make the move to AE too.
Two video ideas from me if you ever have the time to do them: 1. A video where you predict any more chess moves being played by conferences during this realignment cycle. Could be there be a second wave say for example if the Big Ten gets the big TV deal from NBC and the PAC-12 acts like the Big East circa. 2010 and rejects their TV deal, or for any other reason? 2. Maybe a video ranking who had the best conference realignment cycle including those who did not make any moves (Big 10, ACC, PAC-12 etc.)
Bryant seems to be a good fit, even once Hartford moves out to transition into D-III (with still a TBD for its future primary home conference; unlike Chicago State after leaving the WAC soon). And who knows? Maybe the AmEast might add another private school. But is it possible for the conference to get upto 12 schools or close to it? Let's say in case they would lose another school to the CAA (i.e.: Albany, with a similar route like Stony Brook)
I think the OVC should move it's conference headquarters to Ohio hints the name Ohio valley conference it can be anywhere in Ohio Cleveland etc and I think they should focus on Northern schools basically being the FCS version of Mac or Big Ten
@@GlassJoe1337 if was booking it I would have San Diego 🏈 get scholarships some kind of way then you could have San Diego, Cal poly Idaho Eastern Washington Portland State Southern Utah & Utah Tech aka Dixie State in the western division of WAC
@@damascuslutin3956 or Big Sky. With the WAC losing Lamar who knows how WAC football is going to look. Though UC Davis is looking to cut spending. I can see Southern Utah going back to the Big Sky and maybe San Diego going football only. I highly doubt San Diego would leave the WCC for all sports in the WAC or Big Sky.
Do you think UVM will jump ship at any point? Athletically they’re starting to really outgrow this conference but maybe that isn’t really a concern of theirs??
UVM's capable athletically and academically but getting an A-10 invite with their location & demographics will always be hard to overcome. UVM is 90 miles from Montreal! University presidents usually want to be in places they can recruit students.
True - you think A-10 is the next step for them? As opposed to like the CAA or Patriot League? In the meantime I guess they just camp out and dominate like Gonzaga in the WCC
@@myronblankenship9252 Patriot League is more of a private school version of AEC. CAA northern half is very specific on cornering Eastern seaboard markets for student recruitment & ease of travel. So I think UVM's remoteness strands them in AEC for the long haul. They have the academic/athletics accolades otherwise. Next time I'm in Montreal, I'm definitely driving down to catch a game at UVM's new arena!
UHART NEED TO STAY DI !!!! It really hurts to see a school that could have grow due to the mens basketball team going to the NCAA Tournament. I hope the president and the board change their mind.

Do you think the America East will add a 10th school very soon? Most likely from D2?
They'll likely target Quinnipiac. If Quinnipiac's not interested, I think they'll hold at 9 for now.
That OVC/Big South football alliance has a pretty wide footprint. Thank goodness it's for only football.
Like San Diego playing in the north east pioneer football conference.

You know your using an outdated logo for Albany and UMBC? Right?
I generally use retro logos for 40-50% of teams. I’m not a fan of most modern logos.
