- The enthusiasm around American football can't be understated, especially at the college level. While EA Sports delivered on that front with the NCAA Football series, it's been dormant for a long time due to various issues. Against all odds, a sequel finally materialized in College Football 25.
Boasting thousands of players and numerous teams, several with authentic uniforms and mascots, the attention to detail is simply staggering, bolstered by gorgeous fidelity. There's a significant amount of meat to the experience, from Rise to Glory and Dynasty to Ultimate Team and Road to the College Football Playoffs. One can create a custom player or coach a team to the top.
College Football 25 has several issues, from omissions in its offline modes to strange design decisions, which can hamper the experience. Nevertheless, it's an enjoyable experience that captures the essence of the sport with a solid gameplay framework.

Never let this guy review a football game again!!! Get someone who knows about the game as it compares to real ncaa football and traditions and what it means to those of us that waited for it. Damn, this entire video was disappointing. It's obvious that all don't like sports games.
Maybe some of you should stop comparing this game to others?
This game is realistically about a seven.
Its actually good to have reviewers who dont just play sports games reciew it. Sports games often get away with bad business practices and low effort due to the fact that many sports games players dont play other games, so their standards/expectations are much lower.

CFB 25 is undoubtedly better than Madden, but that bar is so low that Idk if that's even a compliment.
It's a solid game, but there are obvious optimization & presentation issues. And it's surprising how many features are missing from previous titles. Being unable to edit the rosters is a terrible omission in my opinion, but your miles may vary. Overall I think a 7 is about right. They did just enough to satisfy fans who have waited for a decade on the next College Football game.

It’s a great game and I’d prob give a 7.5. It is amazing but theirs a lot of detail that is missing or needs to be added back from older games pre 2014. 10 years later we got what we wanted that doesn’t mean it’s perfect. The gameplay is so bad at times cpu defenders just not moving, tackling is broken, o line not blocking, wear and tear needs fixing. Theirs more but even the presentations as great as they are for home teams where is the pre game? Rmb old games had game day with corso making pics or players stretching while stats for the season are shown. Theirs no heismen ceremony it’s just a picture that says who won previous games made it little more in depth with how many votes and showing thr pal get picking up trophy. RTG is fun but old ones felt even better it’s on right track but why aren’t more positions available after all these years. The review system is terrible you can’t even see replays or them showing refs doing the review. A halftime show something like nba2k would be nice. The weekly news can be so much better it’s the same titles for every big game week after week and you can’t even look at matchups and see team stats. Not being able to take draft classes to madden etc I can keep going but theirs so much missing still love the game tho but 7/10 is good. Than you for anyone who read 😂

the heisman simulator for who wins is even broken a WR won it in 2029 in my offline dynasty with 63 catches under 1000 yards and only had 13 TDs.
The game is a 5/10 until they fix the Dynasty Mode recruiting glitches.

It’s fun to play collage football again the game is fun, hopefully they can improve the presentation when it comes to the end of games gets old seeing the same thing after every game and how the celebration is the same after winning your conference championship as it is after a playoff game and the celebration after winning the natty isn’t that great
This is EA. They've used the same SB celebrations for years. They're staying true to who they are lol.

I waited years for this game, let the nostalgia wear off and you’ll see this game is mid. Players move too fast, OTs won’t even put their hands on DEs if they hit a certain speed threshold off the line. The movement is unrealistic from people in coverage. The presentation is beyond awful and there’s no skipping halftime shows. How about every kicker knocking in kicks from 50. I’m having fun with the game but let’s be realistic here, most of the love it’s getting is nostalgia. Even seen some idiot streamers say this game is sports perfection.

This review is actually spot on, and I am an avid football fan. Just because he doesn't care for football, it doesn't invalidate his opinion. This game is fun and simultaneously frustrating
I think the rating is a bit low, but it's basically what IGN gives every game now days so what's new?
From my POV, game is solid compared to Madden. The college teams have good atmospheres associated with them and the core football game is fun, and every type of offense feels different to play as and play against. Army feels like Army, and Texas Tech feels like Texas Tech. Defensive AI leaves a lot to be desired, but I don't think any sports game has great AI, even the coveted ESPN NFL 2K5 didn't have "that" great of AI.
The game is overpriced for what it is but if you want a college sports game, this is the best one out.

This game is unplayable. You literally can’t even play defense because of all of the broken tackles and bad pursuit angles. I think the people who like this game is the same people who like madden every year and buy it over and over again.
Omg just get good. I play on all-American with 10 min qtr (acc clock) & hold teams under 25. There are so many more tools this year to help on defense plus the hit stick actually works when it should 😂😂. Not to mention… do you see college football scores?

@@thebestreviews6675 buying Madden every year helped fund this so…. The defense isn’t nearly as unplayable as everyone makes it seem. Mix up your defenses and hot routes & if something keeps working against you adjust

Man the comments people make about this game are all over the place. I tend to believe the non-complainers. Unless the complainers are correctly stating all the people loving this game are EA employees… which is unlikely. If there are bugs, they’ll be fixed. Cant edit players? Not a game breaker imo.
I’d have to side with you there, to each their own. I haven’t played Madden (let alone a football game) since Madden 11.
For me, I have very little to novice knowledge on football. I picked this up yesterday, and have been enjoying it ever since. Regardless of what everyone says CFB25 is “lacking”, it’s a very solid football game. The only thing that would make it better for me is a longer career somehow
No but the lack of overall detail and customisation options is less than half of what NCAA 15 had....they couldn't even be bothered putting dynamic time or even the ability to do a coin toss in the game. The game play is even worse.

Yea this game has good bones but zero soul! It was fun for a day then it loses charm. Literally road to glory has zero to offer. Dynasty is good but has issues just like every other game mode. Ultimate team is a money grab. I could keep going. I wanted it to be perfect like the rest of you but it isn’t.

As a life long ncaa fan n ea sports player this game is a 6, 6.5 at best. Barely better than recent maddens not as close to as good as any past ncaa in any aspect, except graphics.
This game honestly is trash for what is hyped up to be. You can tell its pretty much just a Madden reskin. So much for the pageantry and traditions this game has no life and all the game modes are pretty bare bones. HOW CAN THEY KEEP RUINING GAMES???

the rating itself is spot on considering lack of customization, no formation subs, extremely buggy and full of different glitchesin ult team, dynasty, and RTG. The game is extremely fun and we all missed it but this game is in no way an 8 or better in quality. nothing under an 8 when it comes to fun.

if it's anything like Madden you can opt out and it will automatically pick up where you left off when returning to the Menu screen. It may not be an 'exact' save but it's pretty efficient.
