    The titan that keeps Zeke in its stomach is the same one that held him in the middle when Levi was chasing, and Zeke tore it up and threw it at him. In the past few episodes As you can see, something was moving at the bottom of the screen at that moment. It wasn't the Beast Titan's jaw, but its the nape.

    His beard and the color of his voice make him look older than he is, but he is only 10 years older than Eren. During the battle for Shiganshina he was 25 years old.

    Oh, to answer the question about the Vow Renouncing War (which I'm sure other people have already answered), it's something people with royal blood are FORCED to abide by once/if they inherit the Founding Titan.
    There's a small flashback in Season 3 where Rod and Uri are begging their father to break the vow and save humanity, but he refuses. And when Uri inherits the Founding Titan years later, his views suddenly change, and he refuses to break it, as well.
    The same thing happens when Frieda inherits it. Kenny says that he took "one look in her eyes" and knew that Uri, or more accurately, The Founding Titan, was in there. After all, Kenny only met Uri after he had become The Founding Titan.

    On the topic of mixed ideas, I remember thinking along those lines when I played Xcom and warhammer 40 chaos gate (basically Xcom in 40k).
    In these games you are the commander and you have 3 people immediately serving under you who are each in charge of a different branch of the organization (research, engineering and field operations).
    In both cases, each of these "leutenants" have very different ways of seeing the situation and are all focused on their department and angle.
    And this is, from your perspective as the leader, a very good thing.
    You might view them individually as to narrow minded and tunnel visioned, but because you have people of such differing opinions all adding their input to the conversation at hand, that means you as the decision maker get more to work with.
    You get all the arguments for and against every course of action and that means you can make a better, more informed decision.
    Xcom 2 even plays with this idea a bit, as the former head of research ends up isolated due to the alien war and conducts her own research, and it ends VERY badly with the creation of certain lethal life forms that escape the lab.
    In an audio log that you find, you hear her lament the fact that you (the commander) was not there to keep her ambitions in check when she did said experiments.
    So basically, a group of people with different skillsets and ways of thinking can accomplish much more and better things than they each could do alone, but there has got to be some uniting factor for them to gather around, which in Xcom's case is the commander ad in many IRL cases is the culture (SpaceX has both, a leader to rally around and a strong company culture).
    This is why having a strong, well defined culture is important, and also why you have to make sure your culture isn't shit (there are certain cultures in the world that are absolute trash).

    It's really hard for a series to successfully make the audience turn against the protagonist it's made them root for over at least 60 episodes, but goddamn AoT does it. Even though Marley is complicit in every tragedy the main characters have faced through the series, we're more or less forced to cheer for them because the alternative is Eren's total global destruction.

    • @jimmy3261
      @jimmy3261 Месяц назад +1

      People weren’t “forced” to cheer for Marley. I think most people were indifferent on who to cheer for at this point because pretty much all the main characters were corrupt to some extent. Marley is too irredeemable to make people say “well, I guess I have to cheer for them now”.
      Even after Eren started the Rumbling, lots of fans weren’t buying into any support for Marley/outside world, and it’s not hard to see why.

    I'm not sure if one of the other comments mentioned it already, so apologies if this is a repeat, but I highly recommend looking up a comparison of the original and English dubbed audio for the end of this episode. Eren's roar is quite different but I think it's amazing in both. In the original (this one) it sounds like a terrifying roar of a beast mounting its charge, but in the English dub they did some sort of eerie mix of the titan roar and Eren's own scream, so you can hear the human voice behind a boney, clattering scream. It sounds so skeletal and primal, more like a wounded animal desperately trying to survive.

  • @bluegrey600
    @bluegrey600 2 месяца назад +6

    -please don’t read if you haven’t watched the final episode-
    You know Eren can see the past present future, he has known the future, so he knew that at the end all his friends (jean et al) survived while floch and yeagerists died. So maybe he just used floch and yeagerists as tool to save his friends from titan curse, and it was because eren loved his friends more than anything. If it was the case, I think I kinda pity floch, but I also will never ever blame eren because he just loved his friends and wanted to save them, even in the process of saving his friends he was willing to sacrifice 80% population, floch and yeagerists. This is only my 2cent.

    • @loganshalloe5927
      @loganshalloe5927 2 месяца назад +5

      Of course he did want to remove the titan curse for them, but he did not know the whole future, only scattered pieces of it.
      And in the last episode he directly says he didn't know whether his friends would survive, which is why Hange and Sasha died. He knew that a choice Mikasa makes would result in the titan curse vanishing, but he didn't know why or how the events leading to that would play out.

    Magath isn't aiming for the neck. Its the same deal as always. They don't want to kill the Founder. They want to take it. So they need to incapicate Eren and have someone eat him.
    I actually think at this point, its a super stupid call. Even from a purely "Fuck the world and all that shit, we just want power" pov. You probably should kill Eren, let the powers split and then pick them up later. Giving one of the shifters the powers of the founder, warhammer, attack and Cart/Armoured/Jaw is like... way to much power in one person that your trying to control through fear and oppression.
    They kind of have to help Eren here, because Marley would destroy Eldia. I think thats still the order, and Magath is going to follow orders. EVEN IF he isn't and his change of heart has been enough to not want to do it, they have absolutely know way of knowing that. As far as anyone on Paradis knows (either Paradisians or the Volunteers) Marley absolutely 100% wants to wipe Paradis of the face of the earth.
    You can easily throw in the British Empire at the end. Its a cycle. An almost inevitable flaw with society due to the nature of humanity. Leaders seek power. When they have power, they seek more power. Power is wealth and influence. You gain said power and influence by expanded your reach. And throughout history, the most effective method of expanding said power and influence is via war, and the most effective way to rule a nation at war, is by being authorarian.
    I do think AOT is something that could be used as an effective teaching tool. Ultimately school do try to teach these things, however when using real world examples to do so... they do tend to get complicated by inherent biases, either positive or negative.
    When they talk about partial rumbling, or a test rumbling, they mean releasing a bit of the walls to go mess up some miltary encampments.

    Eren is the symbolic representation of what will inevitably happen if you unjustly oppress people. If ou do that, an "Eren" will appear to pay you back ten fold. You can make a strong argument that Eren is justified in his actions, as evidenced by half the fan base being jaegerists. Expect others to commit atrocities to defend their people. @@Kilonzo8811 I do think there will be a longer discussion on this on this channel, as it is by far not as simple as you make it out to be, but I see your points and they also definitely have weight. But Reiner clearly tries to make up for his sins and is drowned in guilt. he tries to somehow safe at least gabi from an early death and also, what I think is definitely missing in your reasoning is the age of the characters. Reiner was like 9 when he did it, not even understanding what exactly he was doing (which was still absolutely reprehensible), but Eren is grown up outwardly (though to be fair, he stayed a child inside beacuse the memories held his development down as we see in the movie). Also, Marley doe snot want to commit geno**. Where did you get that from? They are r*** as shit, but not genocidal. Hell, magath, the leader of the marleyan military even instigates seeds for a better future. The attack that is happening in this episode is mainly to root Eren out, not to wipe out Eldia. I am confused as to why so many people keep saying this when Willy clearly stated the goal was Eren and Jaegerists and not Eldia. That was the point of his theatre part, to sow those seeds as well. :) But I will talk about it more in the future, as I can not really do your poiints justice in written form as a comment. =)

    38:17 i dont look at that scenario as a good comp for a country. I look at marley as a symbol of "apologizing or paying for your ancestors mistakes". For instance in america black people think all white people owe them reparations for sins of our fathers...lacking complete context. They dont worry about holding slave owner families vs non slabe owning families accountable. Just think all white people are guilty and deserve to be punished. This is exactly the portrayal i believe the show is demonstrating. Its a stupid, baseless idea. The measure of a man should be defined by his own deeds and actions....not some collective demonization. This is the crux of the argument between collective rights like woke ideology vs. individual rights. Collective rights and identity politics is evil at its core and will always lead to ruin.
    Edit: i should note i dont mean all black ppl and plenty of others that arent black that also share the viewpoint. Dont wanna sound like im blaming black people or that its exclusive to them. Just the one example that i chose to use.
