Soaking them for 6-8 hours suggests that they are raw. It helps remove the antinutrients they contain. Roasted peanuts are far more common than raw peanuts in France. Roasting them also removes the antinutrients and that's why they are usually always roasted before being turned into peanut butter/purée, I believe. The taste also becomes a lot more seductive for the palate. But cooking them kills them of course, and now you have to "raise the dead" !

Thank you, lately I’ve noticed. Very little food at a time is special in a different way. Something about being free. Sounds funny I Know but eating can get in the way. Every little thing effects me really.
So when I eat very little I handle it differently . It’s like if it’s heavy it’s no problem it’s just a little and I squeeze good value there anyway.
Then after a while like weeks. Food gets in the way. Everyone want’s to eat too much too frequently. It’s like you have to go in a corner and pant till you digest a volume before you come out of the saturation trance.
Ha ha well Im exaggerating but not way too much kinda if I look further in. What a thing diet eating the aftermath that forever it seams I was ignorant about the whole of it.
Ha. Now I just eat sporadicly. I could go say all day then eat at 8:00 pm.
Or at 10:00 am. Then nothing till the following afternoon.
    Then again three small meals.
Im just figuring out when Im hungry and what for. Ever taste the sweetness of a lemon slice?
    Or savor burnt toast?
Or something outside your box and really just expect to get the value of the taste from it. Then do it?
Say with anything you think you have tasted before. And just one morsel of it.... a tasting Laugh Out Loud

There is a woman in Telangana who survives only on peanuts past 40 years.
Soon after her marriage, she refused to go to her in law's house and locked herself in a room where there were only peanuts. Strangest part is that she doesn't even soak peanuts in water or fry/cook them. She's 70 now and absolutely healthy.
