Hey! I work at AVerMedia and was more or less in charge of the creator-side launch for this cam. First of all, thank you for the review! Really appreciate what you had to say, how practical you kept it, and the detailed comparison between multiple cams. One thing to note about the cam/CamEngine -Settings adjustments in CamEngine (on the basic/advanced, not filters or framing) are reflected on the base webcam video source (Just CAM 315, no CamEngine) whether or not you have CamEngine open, and all settings (filters/ePTZ framing included) are reflected if you use CamEngine as your source - no need to separately open CamEngine unless you're changing settings BTW - are you on an AMD chip? We're working to improve AMD performance, but it's usually a couple steps behind our Intel support. Also, you were spot on when mentioning the video conferencing focus - that's actually our main market for this cam, but of course, it's an amazing budget choice for creators needing a medium-high spec webcam. Thanks so much for your Feedback😎, this particular build is Intel not AMD I'm wondering if obs studio has something to do with the cam software issues I'm experiencing...I truly do appreciate the webcam and it's field of view at this price...it's solid for me.....I'm just not s fan of webcam softwares in general along with this one due to the issues I experience.

Awesome review as always Bro!, thanks for covering budget choices and definitely appreciate that AverMedia considers the user segment that might not need 4k but requires a good webcam from a respectable brand. Quick couple of questions if I may: - Which settings would you recommend? , or is it good enough to use straight out of the box without much tweaking?. - which one would be the straight competitor from your perspective? PD: Just as FYI, the amazon’s URL links goes on to search for “avermedia *pw513*” in case you’d like to correct it for other folks. ✌️ Peace !

Another great video! How do you personally think it holds up against the new Razer Kiyo Pro. Not considering price point but quality as the main consideration?
I don't need 4k for web conferencing but will want to zoom in to avoid showing too much of the clutter in the room. Does 513 look better when zoom in compared to 315 as it has a 4k sensor?
I just ordered the $100 PW315 for my MacBook Pro Mid 2012 MacOS Catalina 10.15.7 16GB memory because I want to put it on top of my HP22er monitor plus the PW315 has the 60fps where as the PW313 has the 30fps & even though I’m only using the webcam for zoom calls there’re plenty of videos the creators say that the AVerMedia 315 was better then most of the Logitech cameras

I covered it in the video as you saw...the software freezes and glitches everytime I use it....whether it's with or without obs
