      Bro women weren't 'meant to bring love and compassion into the world'. They're just human beings. None of us are 'meant' to do anything, we're brought into this world by chance and make of it what we will. Reducing women to 'happy sunshiney positive all the time' is just a different form of sexism

    • @BarnsOfChris
      @BarnsOfChris Месяц назад +8

      @@CoRLex-jh5vx I'm sure he didn't mean it like that. And in times where women on social media are down right demonized as evil manipulative people who want to control and abuse.. I at least would like to hear more of positive traits here and there. Don't try to be offended for the sake of it. That surely won't change anything.

    • @PoisonArr0w
      @PoisonArr0w Месяц назад +1

      @@CoRLex-jh5vx As a woman this person is obviously very sweet and wasn't trying to say that. I get your point though

    • @CoRLex-jh5vx
      @CoRLex-jh5vx Месяц назад

      @PoisonArr0w I've already said, whether he meant it 'that way' or not, saying any group of humans is "meant" to do anything is harmful and reductive. If all women are "meant to spread happiness" then what does that mean for those who don't? It's basically just the same ideology as catcallers who order women to smile, same as the whole existence of the term 'resting bitch face' while men with the same expression are 'probably just thinking about something'. Women aren't magical pixies who flit about all smiles and sunshine, and only exist to cheer men up. Thinking that way is just exchanging one form of sexism for another and puts women on a pedestal they will inevitably be punished for falling from. I've been there, done that. It doesn't work. Subtler sexism is still sexism.

      All cultures are not equal... some are dangerous, especially for women. European culture is not compatible with those backwards places and mentality. People are too accepting of those cultures because they think it's cool or "progressive", or that it's racist or xenophobic to be criticising them but it's not... it's self preservation.

      the point is that culture has created environments where it is normalised for men to be violent against women. nobody's saying that women are not perpetrators as well - it's just that men commit violence on a much larger scale, with the reason for it being that many cultures across the world to this day dehumanise women to the point where violence committed against them is considered just another day. yes this culture has decreased immensely in the western world, for example, however the mindset of "women are objects to be used" is still very much alive

    I also do think that there is a spark of feminism in every woman.
    Even though some women do not want to associate with the label feminism, owing to the bad wrap on conventional media.
    The women that I have interacted with make decisions that clearly goes against the grain of patriarchy's wishes.

      @@mahoganysoul1798 There are feminists who believe women are better than men instead of equal to men. As opposed to them, OP feels like these are the real feminists fighting for what is right.

    Firstly I would like to say Wow you are all amazing, strong and beautiful woman, I'm so sorry to hear of how you have suffered at the hands of your family and your communities, but also wrong (especially the Turkish Lady) to think that all women are not bought up equally anywhere in the world. I grew up in an English family in the UK like my friends and female cousins, we grew up with parents that encouraged us, educated us and we are equally as equipt financially and emotionally to survive in this world, with or without a man! We had amazing fathers and brothers who have stood by us and treated us as equals. Your communities and in many cases your religion allows these despicable things to happen and it is fantastic to finally see the fight back, we will be 100% behind you, please keep up the good fight and lets stop men using religion and culture as a way of control, for the sake of your daughters!!

    I’ve seen some of these women’s individual stories. The one I remember most is the beautiful woman who had her genitalia mutilated at six years old with her cousins or cousin and sister, getting it done at the same time. Terrible…. Also the beautiful woman who was so brutally beaten and mistreated over and over by her own family… terrible things. They could never have deserved even a fraction of the pain (no matter which type)
    4:55 what she said is one of the worst things to me personally. When someone says “well you could have said no” or “you could have just left or walked away…”
    Ummmm hellllooooioo!?!? If they actually WERE able to “just” do those things as if they’re so easy, don’t you think they WOULD have!?!?!? 🤦‍♀️ where’s the common sense around here??

      @@londonslifecoachI’ve been watching many of your interviews and I really enjoyed the one at the coaching channel. I would love an interview of you mainly focused on everything that helped you survive and then thrive! The evils that you were faced with were great but your resilience is of another world, so I would love to hear all about it. I’m a mental health therapist so that’s what I would love interviewers to focus on it as well. My admiration to you Nina! ❤

    For men that want to say that feminism is basically female above male. It's not. That's not their point. Their point is that everyone, absolutely everyone, should be on the same level, and equal. The love, the education, the social standing, and everything around it should be the same for women and men.
