Theres no buttons so when your fingers are wet or youre wearing gloves you cant control your car. Theres no switches for the rear windows. The shifter is where the blinkers supposed to be. Its great if youve never driven a car before!
You can say that about anything though, 99% of the stuff you buy will depreciate in value. Unless you only invest your money, but then what's the point of making money if you're not going to spend it.

And if you want to put all 4 windows down hold the “REAR” button 2 secs until it flashes, then click the driver window down button to lower all 4. It will flash for about 5 secs and you could roll them back up again while it’s flashing.
As a VW owner, I would hire a crackhead to do my electronics over a VW electrician. An ALL electric VW sounds like a nightmare waiting to happen. Hope you have deep pockets when that warranty expires.

I have a VW ID3 and you have just highlighted all the myriad of features which I hate about the ID range. Bring back physical controls, far safer and more tactile to use.
In my car theres 4 switches tucked neatly together so whenever I want i can instantly lower or raise all windows instantly by simply using 1 finger per switch. No need for interacting with touch sensitive buttons and press hold to set the right mode and flashing lights. I can even choose if I want adjust just 3 or 2 windows simultaneously by only using those switches. No need for touch screens with rgb and needing to engage the hyperdrive with the correct mode configuration. You just use whiever switch for corresponding window, directly. Real simple.
You forgot the only cool thing about the „rear“ button: hold until it flashes and you can open all windows at once by using the driver side window switch

They had huge software issues on this car then ignored customer service when they could not correct them. Vw has a very bad recent history as a car maker.
All of those are super annoying. The dashboard interface is known to be glitchy. Capacitive touch buttons have no tactile feedback. The absence of rear window motor switches is stupid. And the first thing you need in life are white lights moving in front of you that look exactly like reflected lights of a semi that is about to rear-end you.
Not really, new cars you get from 2023 on has so much features that you get dizzy and has so many Assist or aids like lane keep assist, park assist, lane departure assist, rear collision prevention assist, blind spot assist, forward collision assist etc. etc. and thats just on entry level trims. For a mercedes 2014 model, you would need to add $100,000 to get some of those options
Wish the white wheel were an available option on all models. Although the 10/2 hand positions probably should be in a darker color. The VW logo is extremely cheap looking.
I just got one of these and freaking love it, but I don't love the lack of tactile buttons. And I like driving with all windows partly down; the window switch thing is SUPER annoying. Just give me four switches like every other four door car!

I think I've finally gotten the UI system figured out but I maintain that the touch screen is just a bad, bad, bad choice for cars and really needs to stop as a trend, because I'm constantly having to look at it to make some adjustment that I could've done by feel in my Golf.

No mention of being able to hold down the ‘rear’ button so it flashes, and now you can operate all 4 windows.
