How often do you change it? Also do you service the whole DPF system? How do you clean the big filter do you bake it?

@JT.680 best bet would be to once a year pop off the def dozer and nox sensors to clean them off and change the def filter. Ive seen some home remedy dpf cleaning videos but they seem more sketchy honestly. Best bet would be to drop it out and take it to a shop that cleans them while your on home time. Im gonna be buying a new one soon to replace this one. If its in good enough shape to clean, ill just get it cleaned and ill have a spare filter to throw on when the one on the truck gets clogged up again

@dedrickgeter5834 i was driving in cali friday and my cel, wrench light, scr fault pop up on the screen and def red light all came on at the same time. I stopped and plugged into it with davie and otr performance and they both said there was some sort of def dosing issue. I pulled the def doser that was leaking coolant and saw the dosing hole was pretty much completely clogged with def crystals. Cleared out the decomp tube and put a new doser on and she was good to go. Def filter was just bc i didnt know it existed till a month ago and have never changed it in 550k miles lol

@@justanotherotrguy thanks so much for replying. I’m a new owner operator. I’m having so many issues. Only had my truck 14 months and I’m already over 55,000 in repairs. I have a check engine light on now. Shop said code P1516. I have no clue what that is

@dedrickgeter5834 im pretty sure p1516 is just a derate code, not the actual issue. You really need to get yourself an otr performance tool so you can see whats going on yourself. Shops like to be vague so you have to just tryst what theyre saying. Being new i HIGHLY recommend getting that and starting to invest in tools to do as much as possible yourself. Youll go out of business going to shops for every little thing

@@justanotherotrguy I totally agree. I’m definitely going to get me one. I’m so tired of paying 5-600 bucks at these shops and they haven’t done anything but rip me off. The last shop called themselves clearing the codes. Did a regen. I made it 50 miles up the road, lights back on.
