Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge - Comparing Terrorists, Crazy Ivan & Demolition Trucks
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 27 авг 2024
- Terrorists and Demolition Trucks are both unique units available to Cuba and Libya respectively. Both of them share another common attribute which is their suicidal role.
Terrorists (Cuba) - 200
As mentioned above Terrorists are available only to the soviet faction Cuba. Terrorists are quite cheap and can cause massive damage making them a very good budget unit. Since Terrorists are a kamikaze soldier they need extra caution and micro to take full advantage of them. One mistake can sometimes be enough to cause an explosion and kill all nearby Terrorists before reaching the desirable destination. In this case, you must be very careful to avoid something like that in your own base. They are very fragile units and will be targeted instantly.
Demolition Truck (Libya) - 1500
The Demolition Truck is only available to Libya and is quite similar to the Terrorists. The main difference is that Terrorists are suicidal infantry while the Demolition Trucks are suicidal vehicles. A single Demolition Truck is much more expensive but can cause much more damage.
Crazy Ivan (Soviets) - 600
Crazy Ivan is available to all the Soviets factions and his role is quite unique. At first it seems like it's a useless unit but once you find out the different tactics you can use with him he can be a surprising weapon against your opponent.
All those units above have many interesting stuff to combine & experiment with. Few of those are included in the video/.

"Here's a hot papaya!"
*Starts a nuclear winter*
"My truck is loaded" is probably the scariest thing to hear from a land based troop in RA2
Scariest than "Kirov Reporting" X10?
@@narsie1729 nope when there is a nuclear missle + demo truck = death kirov x10 if you have a best air defense it will do nothing
Really? I figured chronoshifting c4 knocking on doors would be scary.
"No you noob"

Your feeling of helplessness is your best friend Savage
I used to iron curtain 9 hovercrafts loaded with demo trucks in enemy base and boom, my game crashed.
vandal 33 LOL
When an explosion is so powerful it kills the game!
I will try it when i get a New pc
I usually do 9 hovercrafts loaded with flask tracks loaded with terrorists strapped with Ivan's bombs
William Lee lol that’s so complicated
These videos are so satisfying to watch, but the end on this one was extra satisfying, thanks
hehe :D
More satisfyng - send flak with 5 consript with dinamyte on enemy base. 😂
11:48 terrorist1: hey come wanna here a joke!
terrorist2 'comes': yeah sure what is it?
terrorist1: Boom :3
Counter Strike Terrorist announcer: " Terrorist Win "
Each of these units makes me feel sad for the German Tank Destroyer.

Ivan : Don't Play with Matches
IFV : No you Noob!
Ivan : Hehehe
MY TRUCK IS LOADED!
Why don't YOU drive?!
AHHHHH KAHGKAHKAHGKAAA
what's better?
Kirov Reporting or My Truck Is Loaded?
Watch out for the bumps!!
VAMOS MUCHACHOS
That kaboom at the end was amazing, nice job dude
What is really cool it putting demo truck in a hover transport after Crazy Ivan has put a bomb on everyone of them. The use the Iron Curtain on the transport, and it into the enemy base and unload the transport. The Demo trucks blow up instantly, and transport keeps dropping them XD
Slowjam Sliver I would do the same thing putting crazy Ivan bombs on five terrorists and loading them into a flack track. If you can get it close enough to a construction yard, it will completely destroy it whether you deploy the flack track or it gets destroyed.
@@nicogamesnow These are new levels of evil.
Terrorists could of been a decent unit if they didn't splash friendly units.
@@mwperk02 Should've, man, should've.
That's a lot of damage.
How about a little more? (Creates Crazy Ivan unit.)
*Now that's a lot of damage!*
The comparisons aren't really fair here: all three of them rely on CellSpread.
Meaning that the closer you are to the centre of the explosion, the more damage you get.
For buildings CellSpread means more damage for every cell of their foundation affected by the explosion (CellSpread is also the reason why Kirov bombs are better at taking out larger buildings but hideously bad against turrets (and Patriots)).
Add that one Terrorist dying means the others around him get hit instantly after.
I wonder if there's some way to delay it like the delayed destruction of barrels...
Lastly, 11:49.
No computer can handle that :P
Regarding the buildings yes. I made a few tests and the damage was different most times.
#truestory.
In my opinion terrorists and Ivan are too weak. Ivans bombs should have a slightly longer timer and kill, when attached to a building, a building with one hit, similar to Seals/Tanyas C4. It still has a long timer, having a huge disadvantage over C4 and allowing the enemy to remove the bombs with engineers. Ivans bombs also need to be more effective against units. Terrorists should be immune against friendly terrorists explosions.
But being not immune you can simply detonate just one of terrorists, and the rest nearby would follow suit in chain reactions.
>Terrorists should be immune against friendly terrorists explosions.
lolwut
Basically Zero Hour tero
Ivan can destroy a nuclear reactor without risking himself
01:53 the ground is poisoned
conscripts : *lays down in defence*
Raguveer singh xD
So it would seem
Terrorist = Cheaper and deals its damage immediately
Ivan = expensive and requires far more micro but deals higher damage and doesn't suicide.
i guess i can say, this video was mind blowing?
ok i die
This video blew me off!
This comment really blew my fuse this time!
I see Crazy Ivan in all your futures for these puns
@St. Haborym wait.... NO
0:11 We must heuuugh WE MUST HEUUUUUGHH
😂😂😂😂😂😂
why don't you drive?
no u
XD.
No thanks
I drove one years ago... The hole in the field is still there
crazy ivan: * maniacal laughter*
demolition truck: skibidi bop mm dada *explodes *
I remember when I use crazy Ivan to destroy enemy attack reinforcement in some mission so I place the crazy Ivans carefuly so they don't got run over by tanks but the tanks does not attack my unit only when you attack them first not put bomb on them, that is very weird it only happen in soviet mission 2 the one when you get to control Tanya
When I was young I love to teleport demolition trucks to CPU HQ and watching them explosion.
Nice pp
Its chronoshift not teleport
who cares?
@@loxionse Everyone but you
@@loxionse heh heh heh heh.
That Russian Ore Truck trully is.... The Pride of The Working Class.
I have been playing this game since it was released and I never thought on using the Chronosphere nor the Iron Curtain on the Demolition Trucks. I feel so stupid -_-
They may not be the strongest of units, but they sure are extremely fun and the voice acting especially for Crazy Ivan is fenomal
Oh man, I remember strapping dynamites on dogs and packing them all into a flak track to create a makeshift demolition truck. This game was insane I love it. :D
All what I can say at the beginning of the video is... we must re-boom! We must re-boom! We must re-boom!
At 0:12
Good video,the best ending
Nice ending. :) Have you ever considered something to do with C&C: Generals?
I haven't played any other CnC game. :/
tg I just lost a lot of respect for you ☠️
GhostX22 but I have all the Cnc collection :)
tg do generals. I think I can safely safe that’s everyone’s second favorite series.
You have to play C&C 3 + Kane's Wrath
I think you should test out the Prism Tank. There's some weird things I've heard about it and I've noticed weird things about it myself.
The beams that shoot off at the impact location will clearly snap to targets that are close enough, but it seems to also be a random chance if it does actually or not. Supposedly these will also bounce to other targets if there are targets nearby, and the range at which it can bounce to these targets or snap to the first target is apparently based on how far away the Prism Tank was when it shoots. I'm not sure how to set up a good testing scenario to test any of these, though.
"here, hold this"
11:20 The true instrument of doom. Apocalypse got nothing on this.
I miss playing this old gem. Using 9 demo trucks with chronosphere teleporting it from enemy's MCV then launching nuclear missile. Good old times
I just got strong early RA2 videos vibes from the ending
love ur videos man.
11:41 future firework
8:41 bomb has been defused.
Counter terorists win
Crazy Ivans are really fun units. I remember puting bombs on dogs and sending them towards tanks in one mission.
Terrorists in IFV-s are cost effective, fast demo trucks.
That was one HOT Papaya!
iron curtain demo trucks have got to be the most bad manners strategy in the game
Crazy Ivan: I lost the Bomb, do you have it?
Boris: Don't ask me comrade Ivan, go ask to Tanya
Heres an idea, Lots of explosives like nuclear plants vs an armored truck.
Thanks for the fun video please make more!
I will, thanks!
Nice one bro. Keep up
and we can test some other crazy troops, chrono commando, psi commando & chrono Ivan.
Chrono Ivan best to troll lol
11:31, (Nods head in excitement)
The Terrorist looks more useful since they give you more bang for you buck, but then you showed the famous Iron Curtain/Demolition Truck combo that ensures the trucks will reach their target.
Also funny to see that the Iron Curtain and Chronosphere cause the units to blow up.
A funny story I was playing vanilla Ra2 as a kid. Skirmish map as a Libya. I was overwhelmed so I had to sent these trucks I had been making to hopefully get rid of the attack. All I knew was that they were a suicide unit.
After that I knew theyre payload was nukes 😅
Demolition trucks all over an enemy base with Iron Curtain is far more deadly than Apocalypses with Iron Curtain. Or quite possibly, Prism Tanks with Chronosphere
"No you noob!"
"Heh heh heh heh"
There is a mod in CNCnet where demo truck poison stays longer (as long as IFV crazy ivan)
iron curtain + demolition trucks = maximu trolling
we must re- *UUIGH*
we must re- *UUIGH*
we must re- *EEUUUGGHH*
The IFVs pretty much become terrorist combat cycles from C&C Generals ZH, but not as good I think, but it does seem somewhat good against buildings
5:43 5:57
The first one dealt more damage, was that because he was closer to the middle of the structure?
Meaning more squares of damage?
Also I hate that your opponent kills one terrorist and it wipes them all out
Crazy Ivan the true Slav
what about chrono ivan ? no difference with crazy ivan ?
Good question. Forgot to test him but possibly it's the same.
try to set a bomb and send them to amphibious transport.. big surprise
@@tsiripas The only difference, other than the teleportation device, is that they don't explode when they die.
That Emperor: Battle for Dune logo remind me that Dune game was Westwood's last RTS.
I keep remembering that I want to play it some day
we come for the tips and tricks. we stay for the ending
11:51 Deidara would be proud
God I loved the trucks
That huge batch of units exploding definitely could've had potential to crash the game if it wasn't running on a modern PC I feel, lmao.
In vanilla red alert 2 I used to use yuri to control civilian cars, use ivan on them and send them to cpu base, if you don't find that disturbing, I'm arabic and i was 10 :-P.
Try loading a flaktrak with 5 ivans/terrorists but plant ivanbombs on the them first. Your flaktrak becomes a demo truck when it's destroyed.
-Build 9 demo truck
-Make them Closer to each other to iron curtain them
-While you wait iron curtain to charge you hear "BE ONE WITH YURI"
-I think y now what happen later
DEAFEATED(sry bad spelling)
The question is: Who is more destructive when blowing itself against structures, Ivan or the terrorist?
This video's lit!
Omg, this channel is so lit
11:50 how glorious!
You the best keep going
When enemy prepare demolition truck, use air strike to destroy it in their base.
John Bu jokes on enemy base hahah
What if you were a Soviet Base :/
i made a full map explosion with these 3 units and Nuclear reactor
to kill the AI(miner) and myself
and all began with a bomb of crazy Ivan :D
all i had done just want to kill a miner XD
Now that's what I call a grand finale! 😂
Hi tg,
Would you mind ANYTIME doing something like a magnetron tutorial/explanation combined with something like a scientific approach?
I strongly believe many of us, poor spectators, don't completely understand the difference between auto-mag and related stuff to said vehicle. We hear/read things like: Oh! Magnetrons!! They are so fking OP...etc. We saw in many battles how mags can land different kind of armoured vehicles atop of others, killing the first (and sometimes) even the second one in the process. It's well-known to many that mags are really powerful when they are stationed in cliffs.
Would you do it please? I can't understand how PRO players mag the crap out of their enemies and do hilarious stuff with mags, whereas other less-skilled players barely make any use of it.
Thanks in advance and for reading my suggestion.
P.S. It would be nice to experiment how much each kind of tank does to a building. Why MINERS blow entire refinery when a mag drops them while they are dumping the ore.
Lachezar Valentinov Hello ! That’s a good idea, I will add it to my to do list !
Amazing how stable red alert is. A lot of games crush when a lot of explosion happen instantly. Btw is the iron curtain and demo truck strat banned in tournaments? Don't see Bryan Vahey or other serious players use it?
Love the Demolition Trucks the most.
Даже в 2018 году это актуально)
I can not understand why the nuclear explosion is weaker than Dynamite? xD
I like your video clip.
It will be hilarious if Ivan can really throw dynamite out of BF.
Why was the demolition truck not able to destroy the war factory when aiming at it, but then destroyed it when trying to kill the lab which was far away from it...?
In which part the Demo truck didn't destroy the war factory?
tg sorry I think I got a little confused between the ifv and demo truck. Hahaha, too many explosions... Please do more comparison videos. :)
A for the effort on the last big bang
5 demo trucks + iron curtain = R.I.P MCV
4 kirovs=RIP whole base with 10 flaks
I really hope this is remastered
Demolition trucks are too expensive to be of any use.
ever played c&c generals ? one from 2003?
there is a faction called GLA
they have a unit named 'angry`mob' ... what would be the equivalent of it in red alert? i wonder ...
Crazy Ivan and Terrorist are useless in ladder. You're better off with Engineers and Engi + Flak Track is easily countered by a prepared opponent.
I play high level players and I use Ivan often to demolish bridges.
A couple Rhinos can also get the job done as fast if not faster.
there will never be games like this again... too many social justice warriors who would cry over these offensive stereotypes
I tried to let Crazy ivan explode the demo truck and it blew up my bunkers and i lost my conscripts
if there was one thing I would change about the end is I would of used a crazy ivan bomb instead.
Is it normal that the screen is so far away? Can't see anything.
I never use Terrorist in my play, Crazy Ivan only for destroy bridges, Demolition Trucks don't like but is worthy if you know use, maybe if were more cheap...
Wow, I knew terrorists were bad but I didn't think they would be even worse than I thought.
they r cheap tho, so put few in a flak tank, then make this tank rush to the enemies unload it, and boom
Toast they are quite effective against structures though
Terrorists do less damage than Ivans even to buildings.
You can give an Ivan a set of waypoints that go through a flak track onto several enemy buildings, and it'll carry out those waypoints setting bombs onto several buildings when you unload the flak track.
You certainly can't do that with a terrorist let alone five unless you tediously space them out so they don't kill each other.
You could flak rush with an Ivan and probably get a better result.
But for that they're both cheaper and faster.
Tho I think they're still easier to kill when standing still.
They have a different role and being so much cheaper it's only obvious they should deal less damage.
@tgSacred Ken you put a download link of this map on this video? Please
Is there any use in throwing Ivan bombs on ur own terror drones? Never tried it but I like the idea of the movespeed
this video is the bomb
You can stack terrorist damage unlikely crazy Ivan
