A truly great singer, who to me always sounded as good, if not better, singing live than he did on record. And to think that, as he said on the Carson show one evening, that he took cocaine every day for 20 years straight. Just brilliant that he managed to beat that addiction. Singer, song-writer, musician - a great talent. RIP Waylon.
Actually I think it was on the Letterman show that he spoke about his addiction to cocaine, when he appeared on it one evening with his great friend Johnny Cash.

I would never buy live albums of anyone except WAYLON.... All I ever had to do was see the name WAYLON JENNINGS and I grabbed it because with him whether it was live or studio it didn't matter he's good either way.....
I saw Waylon everytime he got within a 100 miles or so from the 70's til he passed. Which when he was in good health was 2 or 3 times a year. Yes the 70's he was on and was my favorite period of Waylon's music.
