I confess that I expected more from this restoration/transformation. He could have changed the color of the shoes (for example, black) to give them a new look. Just replacing it with crododile skin (and I hope it's synthetic) made the shoe glamorous again but left a little to be desired.

I really couldn't do better. You are absolutely right about that. But I think the heel itself lacked a little more care (a new paint job, for example, would make a big difference) but the leather gave it a different look.

It really isn't though. It's just a hobby activity now. Like photography, coding, baking, sewing, wood working. These things use to be very expensive to do so they weren't hobbies. Now they are. Making shoes isn't terribly difficult. I've made a few pairs of heels. It's just fussy. But leather craft isn't going anywhere. Nothing has been lost.

I appreciate the effort and goal of fixing up the shoes, however, it looked like the work was rushed (I know the film was speeded up) to the cost of some sloppiness in the final result of the restored shoes. (Smears of dye in undesirable places etc.) If a job is worth doing, it's worth doing well.

I cannot imagine what it would take to make alligator leather. I've seen one skinned ONCE and that was a hell of a time lol crazy how we can make beautiful shoes out of it like this

Какая то халтура. Ещё бант на клей- пистолет приклеили, это вообще умора. Видно что мастер совсем не любит своё ремесло, раз так небрежно и непрофессионально относится к реставрации

Не волнуйтесь, я тоже починил каблук. Использовал специальный клей для обуви и заменил поврежденный материал. Теперь всё выглядит как новое!

Результат отличается от первоначального варианта. Не только цветом ..))). Носить эту обувь после реставрации будет невозможно. Один подпятник чего стоит, кто же его делает из лакированной кожи? Нога будет соскальзывать и до травмы недалеко. О том, что крепление кожанного верха и бант не соответствует оригиналу - ясно.
Короче, лепилось всё для картинки, а носиться будет неудобно и недолго.

Согласна, ужасно получилось((( да и подошва теперь скользящая. Кожа лаковая и жёсткая в носке отвратительно неудобно будет. Такие уже только выкинуть 🥴

I had 2 pair of shoes just like these! One black and one tan. My black ones (my favourites) were stolen, 27 years ago, from my front door step. I have not been able to replace them to this day.

А для чего пож пятку кусочки кожи клеят? Ведь для чего то нужно. Не для красоты только. Задумалась сейчас над этим
Клеить кусочки кожи на пятку обуви можно по нескольким причинам:
Ремонт и защита обуви: Если пятка обуви износилась, наклейка кожи может помочь восстановить её и продлить срок службы обуви.
Комфорт: Иногда кусочки кожи клеят на пятку внутри обуви для уменьшения трения и предотвращения мозолей.
Форма и поддержка: Кожа может помочь поддерживать форму обуви и обеспечить дополнительную поддержку пятке.
Так что это не только для красо

Были кожаные стали из искусственной кожи. Лучше бы не брались, в жару ноги будут скользить под пяткой, гореть и больных ног неизбежен

Якщо вже й знімати ролик про свою якісну роботу, то на шкіряний верх цих шльопок могли б вже знайти кошти. А то цей чудовий блискучий "дермантин"не є відповідною заміною, тих шкіряний старих деталей.

@@LeatherCraft_Mastery плохо прокрашены стежки по краю , видно проколы от иголки , так же не прокрашены края подложки под декоративными гвоздиками. И бантики получились грубоватыми, из такой кожи , конечно, они и не могли получиться другими. Но, если материал выбрал заказчик, тогда к мастеру претензий нет.🤗

Работа впечатляющая,но лаком покрыть стельку?Вся подошва ступни будет черная,да еще и аллергия в лучшем случае.И материал на настрящую кожу не похож.
