As someone who benefitted from the crazy tech market. You really do hit the nail on the head. I had taken a lot of the job early on because I needed to (All jobs have been in IT consulting).
The culture was always focused on picking a ticket every 2 weeks and satisfying customer x or y. I broke down in January and decided to work for a product company and oh boy this has been the best decision of my life.
There is less stress, less meetings, the top level manager cared about me. I am now doing the best job of my life remotely and with a great pay, I just politely decline every recruiter even FAANG ones. Total compensation now includes things like work life balance and happiness.

Timely topic! You hit the nail on the head when you say that people are only going to more stressed, anxious, and ADHD about their work. This is something companies really need to pay attention to. Thanks!
