Is there an order to this? Can you move up the levels by skipping a level? Could you move from Implementation to Communication? Or do you need to move from Implementation to Unification to Communication? And at least be doing Unification in some way, shape or form before moving to Communication.
I would say no,you don't have to. You can learn to fly a plane without knowing how to ride a bike.
