Thirty-odd years ago I had an Israeli made Jericho in 9MM. It was delivered in a fancy case with an extra 41 AE Action-Express barrel. Equivalent to the S&W 40 round I believe; it made the 41 AE irrelevant. Anyway at that time I learned that the Israelis used raw investment castings for their CZ 75 clones that were made by Tanfoglio, and subsequently finished in Israel. Since then they may have made strides in investment casting or maybe just built the facilities for it. Best quality, wherever they are from.
Ordered a full size today from GrabAGun, $299 plus all the extra fees, taxes, etc...can't wait! I've been a fan of the CZ design since way before it was cool. This'll be the first polymer frame one I've owned, thanks for your review that helped push me over the edge😉👍
I bought a full size for 250 from a gun store local to me new. I really enjoy it. Nice at the range easy to keep on target. The mag release is switchable for the left-hand shooter. I am one, so something that's always on my radar, lol. My only real complaint is that i dont have any serrations on the front of the barrel, so it's quite slick up top. Overall, it was quite a nice bang for your buck gun.
@MichaelMiller-op5sx i think you are right. I'm pretty new into gun ownership, and it seems like there is a new gens and models every couple weeks, haha. It's still an awesome gun platform. I think my next one will probably bw the axe hatchet from these guys. Heard alot of good things about it
I purchased the Cherokee Compact the end of July 2024. Took it to the range shortly after receiving it thru my FFL. I had a lot of problems with nose down jams with both round nose 115 gr and hollow point 124 gr. It is currently with BUL Armory for warranty repair. We'll see how it works after I get it back. AS FOR HOLSTER - I found the Cherokee and the Sig P220 are exactly the same size, so I purchased a holster for the Sig P220 and the Cherokee fits like a glove.
Thanks for the review. I almost bought one when they went on fire sale. Going to see now what I can get one for. Love my Bul Armory pistols. The quality should be great as is all of their guns.
Here you go, an OWB #218 Urban Carry LockLeather holster. Great US company. BUL Armory Cherokee Compact OWB LockLeather Holster SKU LP2239--LL-OWB-218 A unique hybrid OWB leather holster made for the BUL Armory Cherokee Compact providing the safety and security of Kydex with the comfort and durability of premium leather. Available in Left and Right hand versions and Black or Brown leather. Got my compact Cherokee this week from BattleHawk Armory as a back-up to my H&K P30. I'll use my Vanish holster/belt to carry it and decide on an OWB later.
The double action first shot is very hard, but I bet in Israel the gun is carried without a round in the chamber. The slide is cycled during the draw presentation, thus the single action trigger pull is utilized. Anyway, this gun is plenty accurate in single action mode. It has a great feel in the hand and is pleasant to shoot. It feels like shooting a cz-75 in my opinion. Not much muzzle flip. The barrel’s lockup has just about no tilt from what I see. Just like my cz-75. What do you think about the barrel’s tilt compared to some of your other pistols?
I'll need to study the tilt a bit more - i own several CZ 75 clones so I'll check iit out.... PLUS I've lately been obsessed w/ Beretta's PX4 which doesn't tilt at all - it rotates! Thanks for watching!!
I just love mine and gonna buy another!! Its like the grip is made exactly for my hands and fingers. It is my carry gun love that i can carry cocked and locked. Its just a Awsome gun ! Actuate, dependable, and durable
@TheArkansasGunGuy man I got lucky a few years ago on this holster. It was a close out sale on them its a quest for a glock m = a glock medium size but my sdve40 fits it my bularmory cherokee compact fits it. It has a clip that I clip to my front right pocket the little pocket and the holster goes inside big pocket and the grip of gun is right there. It's concealed, secure and easy for me to access so I use it pretty much as a pocket type holster
Ft. Smith chiming in here. I saw on I believe Classic Firearms these for sale. Bul also had them listed on the website in case anyone out there is looking for one.
Couldn't pass up this deal either after watching your videos. I got the fs for $300 shipped to my ffl. I'm just not a fan of a compact pistol that shares the exact same frame of a full size. My fs came with the slide having just the rear serrations, integral front and screwed down rear sight. I prefer the profile of this slide but would have liked dovetail sights. My first complaint, its shorter chamber. I loaded it with my pet handload, drop the slide, pull the trigger and click. Attempted a restrike but the trigger didn't reset. Attempt to eject the cartridge and it's wedged in the chamber. I was able to get it out without too much trouble. My pet load is a 147 Blue Bullet seated to a col of 1.150". This works in my G19, G34, M&P 2.0, P229 and P226. The Cherokee wasn't having it. The cartridge was even binding in the magazine. I have to keep my cartridge length to
I couldn't take the da pull anymore. I field stripped, cleaned, oiled and it got worse. The weight is not the issue, it's getting it to break. There's just not enough pull. At times the trigger can't be pulled far enough for it to break. I really wanted to like the pistol, but the da is killing me. I emailed Bul for warranty service.
1/9/24 Update. Got in touch with Bul and sent them a video of the issue. The da pull would get so bad, I couldn't pull hard enough for it to break. I did find if you bumped the slide, it would break. 10 days later after not hearing from them, I called. They sent me a prepaid FedEx label to send in for service. Sent off on 12/26/23. 1/4/24 received an email. It's ready, we adjusted the da trigger, where would you like it shipped with an adult signature? Replied to same day. 1/9/24 It had been delivered outside, the night before and sat in the rain all night. I was never sent a tracking number and no adult signature was required. The packaging was trashed but pistol had stayed dry in its original case. So, did Bul fix my issue? Yes! All I know is they "adjusted trigger assembly for double action". The da trigger is much better. Even with a couple customer service issues, they managed to resolve the task at hand.
I found the safety really stiff as well. deliberately cycled it until my thumb hurt for a week or two until it loosened up. now it's very pleasant to switch on/off, stays where I put it still.
It’s still sold by bul armory in Israel and if you are looking for holsters it’s based of the Jericho which is quite popular in Israel so if you want to find holsters you can buy them from Israeli companies
Try a CZ P10 holster. From clinger holsters. I have worn one that fit a steel Jericho and the czp10 and hold it tightly. I bet Tanfoglio Witness holster works too. I think IWI used same parts as Tanfoglio. Bul probably the same.
I hava RIA MS MAPP, which I like, but, BUL def put significant effort into makin this an actual BUL pistol, as opposed to simply a re-branded Tangfoglio. Really wish BUL could get these (Or any of their offerings!) on tha CA Handgun Roster...
I love my Cherokee compact for all the reasons he shared. I also like the sticky brand holsters and mine with light fits perfectly in the LG-65 model sticky

Have not found one but actually have not been looking too hard. Working on a couple of other project guns at the moment. Another viewer just suggested clinger holsters. I’ll check them it eventually. Appreciate you checking back in.
@@TheArkansasGunGuy I've been looking for a owb for it with passive retention and haven't found much. I wonder if the cz75 is close enough that one for it would work correctly??
Good review however this gun is NOT an everyday carry. Too big a grip, to aggressive and digs in to your skin. Excellent for combat and constant shooting. I did however experience some issues with mine which bul armory addressed. Failure to return to battery and hammer follows the slide. Replacing the recoil spring and some other tweaks they didn't tell me about fixed it. All in all; an awesome sidearm.
The are still listed on the Bul Armory website, and Gun Prime has one for $285. But I couldn't find out specs about the OAL or height. It does look shorter than a P-07 while holding two more rounds. So I was very interested. Oh well. Thanks for letting me know about no decocker and holsters. That makes it a pass.

Magnum Research sells holsters that fit these as they sell the same gun branded under the Magnum name.
I presume this would be the better alternative over the Rock Island MAPP; however, if you have tried both please let me know! Thanks!
