Yeah I think you are right, but remember in civil war he was doing therapy to walk again, and in infinity war he had the stark tech on his pants which allows him to walk properly and didn't need the suit.
@@cali__209that doesn't change what he's saying. All rhodey said was 'me either' (i.e. I didn't used to be like this) and 'but we work with what we got'. It's totally reasonable that he could say this even after regaining the ability to walk however.
But on top of that, I think that scene has to be real Rhodes because it was quite an earnest, memorable line about being paraplegic/ amputee, that Disney wouldn't want to undermine by having fake Rhodes say the line.

Pretty fitting that Disney's retconning of other IPs to fit cultural modern theme and just decides to destroy the story of the only disabled person in the Avengers, instead of using it as a story of personal redemption.

Definitely Civil War. Him getting hospitalized was the perfect time to switch him out. Plus in the finale, Real Rhodey had the hospital gown on.

He was probably going through a tough time after Tony's death, and the Skrulls took advantage of that... since he was probably the weakest avenger physically but with a high status

I think he's only been a Skrull in FATWS in terms of appearances we've seen. It would actually hurt his character a lot and make Tony's death seem less emotional if the guy was essentially faking being sad, even if the Skrull form actually grew to like Tony

skrull rhodey has been around since civil war when he got sent to the hospital, he had the hospital clothes there and its what we see him wear when hes held captive, we even see him have trouble walking as if he didn't know he was paralyzed

As shown in the last episode of Secret Invasion, Rhodey was wearing a hospital gown. It's safe to say that he's probably been a Skrull since Civil War just after he became a paraplegic, meaning that he's been a skrull for about 9 years in the MCU.

I’d say it was sometime between civil war and endgame, considering that when Rhodey was taken out the chamber he still had his disability, so it had to be after civil war, but it was likely before endgame cause he’d been locked away for a long time, my guess is it was likely before infinity war
I think he became a skrull AFTER Endgame. That makes the most sense as he never had a major appearance after that and so a skrull could've easily slipped in when he was off doing his own thing.

I've just watched final episode of secret invasion and rhody was in hospital uniform and couldn't stand or walk on his own. This indicates that he was kidnapped from hospital after his injury in civil war and was replaced by a scrull
Or he was just weak from being captive, could’ve been the first person from that group replaced with a skrull and the rest were more recent which is why he was the only one who needed assistance
In Endgame, he needed the Iron-man tech to walk. In Secret Invasion, he didn't. He's not been a Skrull that long.

My theory is that he's been a skrull since civil war. I think that he was taken right as he was getting his robot legs and that's why he's in the hospital gown. Also in infinity war which was the next time we saw him he seemed to be more secretive than usual. In endgame he talks differently. Like when he was talking about killing baby thanos hulk took it as a joke but there was a sudden change of expression on his face when hulk looked at him. Then when he's talking to nebula. But the main thing that led me to believe he was a skrull was that when tony died peter, pepper, and even Cap started breaking down but Rhodey had a straight face. In falcon and the winter soldier his appearance was brief and he seemed to be rushing through.

Depending on what will be said on when he is taken, will possibly split the fans on the MCU, cause if he was a skrull before endgame, it destroys any character progression of his, if it was after endgame, then people might be fine, cause from civil war to endgame he needed to wear a leg brace on his legs to walk around and when he had the suit on it really allowed him to walk even better. When they were buried in the avengers compound from thanos attack, he had to crawl to the new suit with his arms, his legs still had the braces on, since everyone was very distracted with not getting crushed the skrull if it was him at the time would have used his legs.
Kevin feige has said hes been a skrull for "some" of his past appearances. I guess your right that if half the skrulls were also wiped out because of the snap it makes sense the skrull Rhodey would help the avengers try to undo it. Also it would make sense for him to become a skrull sometime during the 5 years of the blip because it would be alot easier what with half the population being dusted and the world being so quiet and broken

Well during the funeral of Tony Stark you can see that he wasn't wearing the leg braces that he was wearing during half the movie for Civil War, entirety of Infinity War, and Endgame. So I think that Vara the Skrull that is disguised as Colonel Rhodes since somewhere before the Funeral or maybe even longer.

Yall need to remember that Gravik only had the Idea to become the villain right after he was sent to get the DNAs of the all heroes in Endgame and for him to be able to have access to it, he needed someone who has access from the inside which was Rhodey.

Rhodey has been a skrull since after captain america winter soldier. The paralysis was so bad that its impossible for him to have recovered properly and his desperation would lead him to experimental surgery. That is when the skrulls replaced him with someone else. Then he could claim the surgery worked and with a few adjustments he had a normal life when in truth the real Rhodey is still trapped likely in a skrull prison.

I forgot about Rhodey proposing that they strangle baby Thanos. I'm ok with that being the Skrull. Also Rhodey was salty about Captain Marvel being gone from Earth when they met in Endgame. Not sure if these moments were planned in advance or not but in retrospect it works.

This is my guess;
When Rhodey was released from the skrull prison, he was wearing a hospital gown by the looks of things. Now in Captain America Civil War after vision shot down Rhodey, it cut to a scene of him going into a mri scan (I think) wearing a hospital gown. So I think when he was taken by the skrulls when he was in hospital recovering from his fall. We can tell the skrulls didn't give him the hospital gown because when G'iah was releasing all the prisoners, he was the only one wearing one. So Rhodey was a skrull for 7 years.

I think Rhodey has been a skrull since civil war, because he is still wearing his hospital gown in the secret invasion finale. The Rhodey we saw in both Avengers Infinity War and Avengers Endgame is actually the skrull impersonator. Which means that the real Rhodey has no idea that his best friend Tony Stark is dead, which is heartbreaking, he would have missed out on the events of the blip and the battle of earth, lacking knowledge about Thanos and Captain Marvel as a result.
Not to mention that he didn't know that he was paralyzed as he tried to move his legs and he was told that he had been there for a long time.

I would say that Falcon & Winter Soldier *could* have been a Skrull, but I think in all his appearances before that he was human.
I hate the "Rhodes is a Skrull" nonsense. It's a cheap way for Marvel to fool people into thinking they had this all planned the whole time. The writing has been abysmal and they're using cheap tricks like this to make garbage content feel important. Same crap like Ms. marvel is a mutant.
