i would 100% be cool with rodey taking up the mantle in the beginning but then realizing that he just cant replace tony, so instead he brings in Harley (who at this point would have learned a LOT in regard to engineering and all that) and together rodey basically mentors Harley into becoming Iron Lad while Rodey continues being the Rodey we see here. but i can guarantee you that marvel will find a way to bungle it.
