wow! this is the best breakdown of turnorder I have ever seen. this is Rob isn't it? Baradun taking a position that us safe makes sense, but a wizard fighting from a position he can't see from is a fail as. total love Adam.
Greg remembers to use the Protector mode for Poppy when he is low on Hitpoints. Baradun uses message to confuse an enemy (and was gonna use a well-placed Fireball if the rules had allowed it) BOB takes a ranged sneak attack with his bow and hides. Bodger has payed attention when Rob says that the monster has eyes on its third tentacle and tries to chop it off with is axe. Holy shit, they actually play it smart and use all their abilities to great effect.
After this episode I'm really torn between who's my favourite of all Rob's rendition of baddies so far - Yaris or Bavlorna. That half-deranged half-calculating hag act is checking all the impressively-done boxes for me.
How did both Greg, the one person who has barely been down at all, and Bob, the one person who is consistently been knocked around like a ball, suddenly change their roles? Truly epic! Loving and learning this game so much with how you guys play! Viva la Dirt League!
Rob: "I'm getting really tired of all the grabass and good luck seeing ya'll through. My exposition is impotant, my characters will not be skipped. Start adding your damn bonues to your dice rolls instead of makin' me do it. You're gonna learn the hard way. Nod your heads if ya understand." 🔪

Bob's curse of bad rolls have left him and spread to everyone, leaving him with only nat 20s to spare... Be careful Rob, your dice is getting affected now 😄 I love how Baradun's being his usual we're-in-a-game thing, and Bob is just like "you have a fever or something?"
All of Robs characters are amazing,! At the end of the campaign can we please get a video showing all of the different characters that Rob's dressed up as? Great episode guys, can't wait for the next one :)
I really can't explain how these videos are getting longer and feeling shorter. There isn't enough time in the world to enjoy all that could be Baradun and the Dickheads. You guys do such an amazing job *every single time.*
HELL YEAH, Literally just finished the previous ep a few minutes ago. How beautiful. Can't wait to see how this pans out (maybe with a Bob downed *shrug*)
Can someone please REMIND GREG that he has a dagger that is in upgrade to his trowel!! It would have increased damage and if I remember correctly it has an enchantment that give him warning of danger or something. The dagger has danger sense which would make it that they can't get surprise attacked or snuck up on, but does nothing when in an active combat situation.
And people say it's not a problem the group is having fun and that I was wrong except the part of them ruining the dm's mood setting. Yeah don't expect to much on the group's effectiveness if they put all their effort into "funni haha!" this is what they get for having too much fun and not focusing on their positive uses and possibilities on how they can suceed.
@@blackandwhitecats4243 Dude, it's a game and these guys are still really new to it. They aren't always going to remember their items and I think if their DM really had a problem with the mood they were bringing to it, he'd talk to them about it. If how they choose to roleplay isn't as serious as how you prefer to play within your own group, that's okay, every group is different and the reason a lot of people love the game is that it is super flexible in play style and tone. They've found a group of likeminded people to play with and they are having fun with it. If it really bothers you that they don't take it seriously enough, I'm sure there are other DnD shows that would be more to your liking.
@@Bookluver29 I'm not saying I hate it they do make me chuckle I'm just telling the first guy don't expect too much on their effeciency and I'm pretty sure they had time to learn the fundamentals of dnd but they didn't bother to focus on it since they were occupied by doing "other stuff" to this day with 70+ eps?So don't tell me they're still new to this because they did some test series before this series(I'll give them a pass for their lockdown so that's fine) but after that's solved it's gonna be questioning the late game.
The guys reactions at the table when each new Legendary was discovered. Priceless. Also loving the production effects again - sound added nicely (subtle adding to the tension on the 1st "I was thinking the same thing" and Bodgers "weapon re-equip" and misses at the baddie). Some animation on the Otyugh.
Greg: uses trowel, always forgets he has a fancy new dagger. Bodger: attacks head, forgot last time he 'went for the head.' (Hill Giant) Bob: forgot how to attack for a moment. Baradun: forgets he's 'inside' the game.
I love that these are released with the Alaska time zone so I can stay up till midnight, watch the episode and go to bed. I love this series. Fucking hilarious
[Players consider an infinite loop] Rob ". . . 'You'd better pay up then!'" Subtitles: "[Mugger] You'd better pay up then! - you win D&D" Agreed. That was fabulous 😁 Subtitle Person, you also win D&D! 🏆
The best part of the encounter is the group just going into combat willfully resolved to a lack of other options. And then actually learning and using their characters wisely. Great encounter and content as always.
You guys keep me on the edge of my seat so well! Every episode leaves me CRAVING more, love the series and its been really incredible to see the group of you as your true personalities vs Playtech or npcman story lines. Also I've been secretly waiting for Bob to put the mask of blinding on someone in their sleep
Oh no, now I feel bad. It was a joke. (cause of the old assassin dude with the worst birthday ever...) BUT since no one congratulated me on my actual birthday, I'll take it. Thank you. ^^
Every teaser at the end of an episode just gets better and better, this one in this episode is really making me worried about what happens next. Good job 👍
When Baradun breaks the immersion, like with the DM board, or was sticking to the "Conrau is right here!" I'm going, "Boy, that fireball misfire really did a number on him!"
Poor Greg / Alan is the only one who thought to upgrade his AC but it blocks only one attack before the the boss focusing on him put him on his last legs :'(
Wanted to play D&D when I was younger but could never do it. After bingeing all your videos I’m finally going to start a campaign with my family. We’ll see how it goes!
7:19 SInce this is the first encounter after some hiatus, you should've told Adam, that he doesn't have to spend all his movement in one go, meaning, he could've cast the firebolt while running away, when he was far enough to not be in melee, while still being able to see his target. 10:54 That ain't no D10, but D12. But he forgot to add his rage damage, so I guess it all evens out. Oh, nevermind :D
His weapon is a Dwarven Thrower so d10 is correct. Rob does it a bit differently so it gains power based on how many giants Bodger has killed, so I don't know if it would've also done an extra 1d8 damage if thrown instead. And yea, they forgot the rage damage so the real number would've been 35.
Absolute gold guys! I’ve played barbarians for a lot of the games I’ve been in, Bodger please start using reckless attack!! It’s the best feature of the barb!!
Its a present that such an unprecidented presentation ist presented to us. Its representativ for how good their content became until this _present moment_ .
I think the worst part is knowing that eventually I'll catch up (after binge watching all of these over the last week) then I'll have to wait for new episodes.
As I want to become a DM, I wondered what I am supposed to do, if a player goes for a particular action. And I didn't know. And then randomly on this day I asked myself, Rob explains the called shot, which he has never done before in 74 episodes. I mean, what are the odds? THANK YOU ROB HARTLEY
These guys never bother to... 1. Buy healing potions (atleast they've started to improve their gears tho). 2. Take strategic positions knowing a battle going to occur (its clear Bavlona is making ridiculous demands to start a fight). 3. Focus attack to take out the enemy they should remove first that likely to give them the most trouble (Bavlona in this case with her "i'm thinking the same thing" reaction ability). Oh well... they are Honeywood's NPCs afterall who are used to the "good life".
It's 13 degrees F (-11C) with a windchill of 1F (-17C) here, our weekly game got postponed last night, and I'm sitting here this morning (Thursday AM USA EST) watching these guys play D&D in shorts and t-shirts. I've made a lot of bad choices.

And people say it's not a problem the group is having fun and that I was wrong except the part of them ruining the dm's mood setting.
Yeah don't expect to much on the group's effectiveness if they put all their effort into "funni haha!" this is what they get for having too much fun and not focusing on their positive uses and possibilities on how they can suceed.
the trowel's more entertaining
Rob's hard work is finally paying off, Baradun and the Dickheads are LEARNING!
The guys reactions at the table when each new Legendary was discovered. Priceless. Also loving the production effects again - sound added nicely (subtle adding to the tension on the 1st "I was thinking the same thing" and Bodgers "weapon re-equip" and misses at the baddie). Some animation on the Otyugh.
should be required viewing for D&D players
Bob: Is my time to shine!
Every Rogue in the comments, including me: GO FOR IT BOB!
GREG YOU HAVE A SWORD, SHAPE SHIFTING CLAWS, A CROSSBOW, AND A MAGICAL BUCKET, UES THEM
dude pls dont be too hard on a Garlic Farmer....
@@gurugurukuma his an artificer too though.
@@jonasjensen680 bottom line, he still has the mindset of a garlic farmer.
@@gurugurukuma then why become an artificer to begin with? Also wasn't his uncle like a vampire hunter or something?
He also has an alchemical firearm to add another d8 to his damage spells
I love this fight is actually making the guys sweat a bit, possibly even considering talking things out afterall. Great job Rob. 👏
Three 1 and a 2 rolled by Rob as well???
Damm Bob's curse is contagious!!!
😂😂😂
I literally Started playing D&D because of this channel, been following the eps from the start, Lavin it!
Me too :)
I love how Greg has a dagger but is still using his trowel
Greg: uses trowel, always forgets he has a fancy new dagger.
Bodger: attacks head, forgot last time he 'went for the head.' (Hill Giant)
Bob: forgot how to attack for a moment.
Baradun: forgets he's 'inside' the game.
It’s encouraging to see I’m not the only DM who has to explain how to attack to their PCs during session 53 😂
To be fair to them, this was after a 6 month haitus, though.
Cracked up at the closed captioning at one point that said, "Wimpy Greg noises" lol
I love that these are released with the Alaska time zone so I can stay up till midnight, watch the episode and go to bed. I love this series. Fucking hilarious
This is the most organic DnD game I have found! :)
NO! I've been waiting all week for this and its not the complete fight. Can't wait for next week! Great job everyone, loving it.
[Players consider an infinite loop]
Rob ". . . 'You'd better pay up then!'"
Subtitles: "[Mugger] You'd better pay up then! - you win D&D"
Agreed. That was fabulous 😁
Subtitle Person, you also win D&D! 🏆
This is the comment I was looking for because no one seemed to notice lol
Glad you noticed!
A new episode, best birthday ever!
Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday mate!
Happy b-day!!!
Have a great day!!!
Oh no, now I feel bad. It was a joke. (cause of the old assassin dude with the worst birthday ever...)
BUT since no one congratulated me on my actual birthday, I'll take it. Thank you. ^^
Every teaser at the end of an episode just gets better and better, this one in this episode is really making me worried about what happens next. Good job 👍
The pure joy on Robs face in the first round of attack
The year of the water dragon lives up to its name. Bob rolling 20's is definitely revolutionary
When Baradun breaks the immersion, like with the DM board, or was sticking to the "Conrau is right here!"
I'm going, "Boy, that fireball misfire really did a number on him!"
21:41 the fact that baradum calling bob with Ben is amazing
Absolutely loving this. Especially the longer episodes. Keep up the great work!
Poor Greg / Alan is the only one who thought to upgrade his AC but it blocks only one attack before the the boss focusing on him put him on his last legs :'(
How are these guys not the worlds most wanted, hunted by townfolk and held in esteem by every baddie on the map?
"Ah biscuits". I don't know why, but that really got me!!!
Never played D&D before, honestly, never really wanted to. But you guys have made me want to try it!
12:33 that is the look of a man who wants to flip the table and leave
"Baradun, whatcha Baradoin'?"
The most EPIC pun ever! I have never heard of such a perfect use of word play, ever! I am in awe! 👍😎
Not even the 12 other times we've used it in this campaign?
@@VivaLaDirtLeagueDnD it's like a fine wine. it just keeps getting better with age.
Wanted to play D&D when I was younger but could never do it. After bingeing all your videos I’m finally going to start a campaign with my family. We’ll see how it goes!
Rob I was right with you singing she can fly she can fly she can fly🎶🎶🎶 🤣
Ahh VLDL NPC D&D, the best part of every Thursday.
"You better pay up then" loop xD
*Bob incredulous* : Who are you- me?
33:40 - Pavlova: That's exactly what I was thinking... (proceeds to skip her attack too).
Oh, you mean the die was d12 when it was supposed to be d10? Didn't notice at first but you're right ^_^'
Absolute gold guys!
I’ve played barbarians for a lot of the games I’ve been in, Bodger please start using reckless attack!! It’s the best feature of the barb!!
Just recently rewatched the full series. Glad to see a new one out. 😁
Its a present that such an unprecidented presentation ist presented to us. Its representativ for how good their content became until this _present moment_ .
Can't tell you the feeling I get when a new episode comes out. Always makes my day.
Love these. Great episode. What an interesting fight!
Much love to the CC gal :) I appreciate your work.
I think the worst part is knowing that eventually I'll catch up (after binge watching all of these over the last week) then I'll have to wait for new episodes.
I adore you guys, thank you for making Thursdays epic NPC man *snickers* awwww biscuits!
32:14 - Bodger, you've just chopped your OWN eyes out.
Babayaga is gonna go full John Wick.
Rob is enjoying playing Bavlorna way too much. And I love it!
It's 13 degrees F (-11C) with a windchill of 1F (-17C) here, our weekly game got postponed last night, and I'm sitting here this morning (Thursday AM USA EST) watching these guys play D&D in shorts and t-shirts. I've made a lot of bad choices.
Missed these series finally can catch up again I'm gettin more and more excited after every video 😂🔥🙏🏼
Seeing Ben's hair... "wow, Dustin from Stranger Things really levelled up!"
I love the fact everyone has like 20 cards in front of them except Rowan who has one with a hammer on it.
Nothing better than waking up to a new episode.
*Bravely sobbing* 😆😆😆
"That's not fast.. That's slow." XD
My favorite thing on the internet since the series began!
Great episode. i would love to play DnD with you sometime
I'd love to have you!
Same here
@Aralash Bael Well, there is a redemption on his Twitch Channel that would make that possible......sadly, its pretty high.
@@wjzav1971 I'll have to find another way to play with him. Maybe in person
Same, Rob is such a good GM
Poor Greg haha, this was great and i can not wait to see if they get out of this mess. Keep up the great work guys and roll on the next one.
Bloody good episode! Nice to see another boss level fight
Was just about to go to bed and seen this pop up on my feed, screw waiting till I'm off work in the next 16 hours!!
I am again, for the third video in a row offering money for an early release! Give me a price!
You can see on Rowan's face he REALLY hates it when his weapons and attacks are used against his friends. Ben and Adam laughed, Rowan was not amused at all.
Oof, I bet Alan is having flashbacks to the Isolation Games here at this present moment
