RUclips has been doing some dodgy stuff with quality on a bunch of videos all day for me, the latest of which is that this video seems to be in potato version, rather than 1080 as listed... I expect it will sort itself out in time.
Thought for a second my eyes somehow became worse than before 😅. Mind I should schedule an eye exam as needed due to the last one being a couple of years ago. So that's a twist to make the potato early video quality a positive. Didn't hurt my enjoyment regardless of the RUclips visual issue. Appreciate the work you and the rest do and I hope you all are having fun😁.
Since baradun already used Tides of Chaos, I was sooooooo hoping that he'd try to illusion the stamp and set off a fireball or summon a unicorn or something in the middle of the customs office
Rather new to DnD, but the randomness truly gets me. Joined a group of 12 (DM makes 13). I was ever so excited, but joining a campaign mid-game.. Well.. Rest of the gang were lvl 5 and at my lvl 1 I died about 5 min after my introduction (DM was kind, my rolls were... shit.. ) So.. Char I spent the better half of the day before on, was now.. Nothing.. Made a new char on the spot, been using him for the past 3 year sessions. Love it, sooo much. What makes this exciting, interresting.. It is the rolls. Rolls, not polls makes DnD fun.
Rob, you're too good of a DM. I finished catching up on your Twitch VOD and was mindblown at how long the BBEG reveal was planned. Now you create a made-up customs system in a fantasy world made me forgot this was a roleplay. GG, can't wait till the studio is done so you can flesh out more amazing content like this campaign!
This is getting better and better with every episode! Baradun's "leader of the dickheads" and Bob"s "murderer" hit me off guard, I was impressed, and seconds after killed with this brilliant acting from Bob P.S. So exсited for the next one!
I almost forgot that today was thursday and I've been on a bad mood entire morning, suddenly RUclips notified me of a new NPC D&D episode and my day got immediatly a whole alot better. Thanks!
Agreed, This show is made so much better with the captions turned on and in my opinion is the only way to watch NPC D&D, not only does it help when the group are talking over each other but you also get fun little nuggets added by the amazing Lorquin.
Dave: "A sorcerer, a barbarian, a wizard and a rogue enter a portal..." DM: No, Dave, that's not how multi-class works. It is just you, entering a portal. A meh-joke is also a joke....
Again, such an enjoyable episode. The customs interview thing is both absolutely hilarious and a little bit nerve-wrecking in an anticipatory manner. 😆 It was fun to try and come up with ways to answer in the little space between the question and the answers of the characters. Honestly, I would have blown it. I have to add, I'm so excited for the new area. I almost feel like I had unlocked a new map in a game!
I just loved the green screen scene where baradun is getting his book from the arch Fey and Bodger is hitting various animals with his hammer and morphing them! Bodger's giggle and sheer happiness during that scene is epic! 🤣
Hopefully we get this scebe "Are you bringing anything in that we should be made aware of" Bodger: "Yes actually, this hammer is rightfully mine handed down to me from my grandfather..."
Oh, no. The crate of potatoes is long gone. It’s a crate of mold now and as such, no longer counts as a “stolen” item. It now counts as a “gross” item.
This is one of their best RP episodes. Bodger Blodger always in character as disinterested is hilarious. But Rowan getting truly involved and taking notes, and cheesing over the polymorph as a "fun mechanic" was genuine DnD. Glad they are really getting into the game Also I love how Rob specifically tells them if you fail a charisma throw you can't actively lie, and the entire group immediately comes up with an elaborate lie. I much rather see that plan fail, opposed to them planning to coyote across customs
He ought to be an invulnerable NPC, with cheery dialogue for when he's attacked. "Ooh! Careful where you're swinging that thing, mate, coulda had me eye out!"
Surely Bob just needs to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth continually until the custom officer either lets him go out of psychological self defence or just goes completely insane from the shear horror of Bob's life story......
Big chapeau to Ben by the way, not only one of the craziest and funny characters and comedians, but i feel he's also constantly recalling all the story and characters and he doesn't get the dog treats as much as bodger for that :D
Hey guys, just want to tell a little story about the wishing fountain. About six years ago, my mother and I were on a water sightseeing tour of Prague. When we were approaching the Charles Bridge, the guide said that if we throw a coin, make a wish, and the coin hits the arches of the bridge, then our wish will come true. We weed under the bridge, my mother gives me a coin, and I run to throw it. I was so focused on throwing that I forgot to make a wish. By the way, I got it, so, technically, my wish came true))))) Thank you, Rob and VLDL for another magneficent episode. The sketches today were so hilarious!
Every single comment and face from Ben in this episode was gold! 7mins in, I hope Bodger was polymorphing ants in to chickens, and NOT attacking any real chickens.... never attack the chickens... D&D Customs is just a wonderful idea, the wishing fountain classic, the appendage comments on the buttons, all just bonkers detail I have no idea how Rob can be that creative! And every little '...OK...' from Rob just makes you simultaneously panic and be dying to know "why? What did they just unknowingly do??" I love it! Also the sign that was being carried away. Was there a chance that Baradun could have tried to go to that special line for the high sorcerer and blag his way through that way? Or would that have just opened up a can of "Leothil knows I'm alive and here" worms?
I love Adam's commitment to the whole 'Baradun always exposition dumps to everyone he meets' character trait. He knows it's going to come back to bite him but he stays true to the role and it's just so fun to watch.
This series just keeps getting better and better. Can't believe they only played 10 sessions over 2 years. My biggest wish is when they are done building the permanent D&D location, this series will be uploaded 2-3 episodes per week. Fingers crossed 🤞
they can do that already but release their session in segments. with all the content they produce they most likely don't have time to do more sessions/release more episodes faster. otherwise my guess is they would have already.
@@Sgrand80 Rob has said that having the studio and everyone being in the same workspace will allow them to do more regular, shorter, table sessions. As an example, filming a 4 hour table session every week would be roughly twice the amount of game time & content (assuming they’ve averaged 7-8ish hours every two months so far). So, it’s pretty likely they’ll have 2 episodes a week once the studio is in operation. 😅
Yooooo I'm 7 minutes in. There's a metaconvo in-character and... Bodger. I am in tears and have to stop. 10/10. I love it and I'm not even done. Damn it, you're good at this!
Thanks again for the hilarious episode! Elvish border control and custom services in the fantasy medieval world were a great and funny surprise, those interviews are just wonderful (and create an understandable nervous tension), Bodger seems to become a bit more involved in the game, and Rob is looking really good in that officer role (it was unexpected, but awesome). :)
I get the impression that Greg did the only reasonable thing for his mental health and wished asap to be portaled far away to a peaceful place so he never has to meet the others again. As a bonus he asked for this to be kept secret. Bad for us, but good for Greg.
This is potentially my favourite episode ever. Just a perfect combination of green screen time, silly banter, actual progression, and Bodger being Bodger
Just made my day seeing this pop up in my notification bar, with Rob's great story making and great character work and everyone's humor and Ben's great rolls, I just love everything about this series. And last weeks big reveal just OMG the twist and turns. Giving me something to look forward to at 5 something in the morning on Thursdays lol
This niche fictional city has smarter safety regulations than any airport on earth. It's true that they have access to magic stuff that we don't have in the real world, but if we had the golden ball of truth or whatever it was, there's no way we would ask such smart questions. Especially the last one.
Dang it! The video ended to early. I wanted to hear Bob's answer to that last one. Whatever his answer is, it's bound to be followed by gut wrenching laughter.
Great episode. Love the amount of details described in the new territory. I am now waiting in anticipation for the next episode. Nice work captivating my attention. Rob you have a gift being a DM. By far the best in my opinion. All the adventurers guided so well. Please never stop doing this.
@33:00 Ben’s face at hearing/seeing his GM say, “Oh fack, that’s brilliant” just after hard-laughing at his jokes again is a feeling we aspire to experience, one day. 😂 Edit: Aforementioned, glorious, outbursting laugh found just a bit before, @32:45*^ NEVER BE SORRY ROB!!! Especially for such contagious joy as that!! 👏🤣😂👍
I love that Rob included a functioning wishing well and nobody caught on that more valuable coins increase the chances the wish will be granted. He verified what coins were being thrown in and rolled to check for success.

@@VivaLaDirtLeagueDnD I think we all have the right to be a little Bodger sometimes.
Petition to make the customs officer permanent just so we can keep seeing Rob looking all (extra) handsome in that suit 😍
Oh you flatterer.
@@VivaLaDirtLeagueDnD Rob looks like secret agent with sun glasses and suit...
He reminds me of agent Smith from Matrix 😄
@@maciekbodniak443 He'd definitely convince me to stay in the Matrix 😌🤣🤣🤣
My 2nd favorite costume of his right behind Yarris (RIP)
Rob saying ‘ok’ calmly and collected is terrifying.
When you realize you just watched people go through customs for entertainment.......and it was hilarious 😆👏
Thilivern Custom officer without Pointy ears ?!
OUTRAGEOUS
I guess they outsource law enforcement.
"Oh fucking hell errr murderer?" fucking hell, had me spitting my drink out with laugher 😂
Bodger and that hammer are adorable together
Ben wearing the neck pillow was hilarious!!!!
The "expensive silence" part 😆 Lor, you're a genius 💙
The one time Baradun doesn't want to just introduce himself as himself he may he forced to do so
I like it that the party is in a situation where they've to be careful and worried. :)
Omg the b roll of Bodger just walking around bonking things and making a petting zoo was gold! 😂
Congratulations Rob, hearing Welsh that was understandable was impressive 🏴
Da iawn, the pronunciation of "croseo" was a bit off, but since it's his own version of Welsh it's ok
Wow, I put no effort into proper pronunciation (given it's Elvish, not Welsh) so I'm surprised I got it understandable!
@@VivaLaDirtLeagueDnD da iawn ti Rob, oeddwn i yn deallt bob gair. 👍🏻
Oedd o yn helpu bod genai glystiau pigog 😉
@@VivaLaDirtLeagueDnD i was about to comment how good your pronunciation was (especially with such a northern accent)
I noticed the Welsh straight away and I was like.. hmm that elvish sounds suspiciously like Welsh! I guess I know Elvish then. Dw'i yn hapus.
30:45 the slowly trying not to say things but saying literally everything 😆 😂 🤣🤣🤣😂🤣🤣
Between "I am the bbeg" and "murderer?" I can't fucking stop laughing lmfao
Ben doesn't usually get near enough credit for being hilarious 😊 🥰
I love Adam's commitment to the whole 'Baradun always exposition dumps to everyone he meets' character trait. He knows it's going to come back to bite him but he stays true to the role and it's just so fun to watch.
Well I wasn't expecting to hear Welsh from you today Rob actually blew my mind. And fair play Rob your pronunciation is pretty damn good too!
Wow, thank you! I'm surprised.
@@touchofstrange I stand corrected and am happy
Yooooo
I'm 7 minutes in. There's a metaconvo in-character and... Bodger.
I am in tears and have to stop.
10/10. I love it and I'm not even done. Damn it, you're good at this!
The accuracy of Britt's acting in the customers queue is just 👌👌👌😂😂😂
31:12 and I was rolling on the floor, laughing my head off!
These are truly wonderful shows!
That child is definitely coming back, and probably with a group of others…
And the snail somehow
I get the impression that Greg did the only reasonable thing for his mental health and wished asap to be portaled far away to a peaceful place so he never has to meet the others again. As a bonus he asked for this to be kept secret. Bad for us, but good for Greg.
Bob was on fire today. A laugh a minute.
Oh dear. Baradun wildsurged again ?
Props to the the whole group, Im loving the story. Amazing DM, awesome cast to make the story come to life!
Dang it! The video ended to early. I wanted to hear Bob's answer to that last one. Whatever his answer is, it's bound to be followed by gut wrenching laughter.
When Djeofph was mentioned I laughed so hard I choked 🤣🤣🤣
That.. Was actually a really reasonal wish from Bodger. I'm impressed!
Bodger transforming a wish fountain in a casino machine XD
Shocked he didn't throw all his gold in there.
Great job on the welsh, oh sorry Elvish, there!
Omg can't wait to see the next episode! That cliffhanger I can't wait to see how Bob and "Steven" answer that question lol
30:53 the “high” sorcerer 😂
🤣🤣🤣
The deadpan bored elvish customs worker was so well delivered, cracked me up good with that one Rob!
Rob's attempt at welsh at 9:36 cracked me up🤣
Great episode. Love the amount of details described in the new territory. I am now waiting in anticipation for the next episode. Nice work captivating my attention.
Rob you have a gift being a DM. By far the best in my opinion. All the adventurers guided so well. Please never stop doing this.
Thanks! I'll keep doing it for as long as I can keep paying the bills with it!
No matter how many times you go pass customs each visit still feels you with dread like you did something wrong.
You have a reason to believe you have latent magical power.
Bodger: I got a creepy magical doll in my hand.
lol
I’m gonna get some breakfast and a coffee just to sit and watch this! I love it!
I only just found this series the other day and I'm already caught up and waiting for the next episode. Great stuff guys. This shit is hilarious
Thanks!
The only thing that gets me through a Thursday is knowing D&D gets uploaded 👌❤️
I can't believe an episode about going through customs is this good, great job everyone!
REALLY want Rob to do a behind the scenes about the options to bypass/trick border control.
@33:00 Ben’s face at hearing/seeing his GM say, “Oh fack, that’s brilliant” just after hard-laughing at his jokes again is a feeling we aspire to experience, one day. 😂
Edit: Aforementioned, glorious, outbursting laugh found just a bit before, @32:45*^ NEVER BE SORRY ROB!!! Especially for such contagious joy as that!! 👏🤣😂👍
SO AGREED! 😂
This is officially the best arc of this campaign.
This is so relatable IRL that it's absolutely entertaining! *Rob tearing up with laughter was the best part!
I look forward to this every single week. I am beyond invested, thank you.
I love that Rob included a functioning wishing well and nobody caught on that more valuable coins increase the chances the wish will be granted. He verified what coins were being thrown in and rolled to check for success.
Murrrrddddddderrrrrrrreeerrrrrrr, rob laughs,
Captions : helpless laughter
Man who is writing captions
Lorquin!
Bodger giving the inspector the full hammer story inspiring him.
Okay, but magic tourist signs is such a good way to tell the players what's in the town they've just arrived in.
Unless they skip them...
Not often we get to see Rob overcome with laughter! Way to go B.O.B.
Are we going to get meet Bob’s family soon?!?! 😮
I can’t wait to meet them! Especially BRB. He always just slips away😂
