Rick Martel - Smashes a bottle over his head during a promo

Rare footage of Rick Martel smashing bottle over his head during a promo in 1986, as seen previously by Rowdy Roddy Piper (of which Rick was present during that promo) it's little known that Rick also did this during one of his promo's also.
A real nice insight written by a fan on a public forum gives more information on this specific moment.
Dying months of International Wrestling sucked ass. This was a part of it. Steve Strong, the man Martel did this for, wasn't worth a damn and totally unworthy of working with an ace like Martel.
But this is rare footage of the English broadcast of the promotion. Didn't know many of those were still around. I thought CFCF-12 destroyed them all.
In the 70's, the company had GREAT storylines and greater promos. I'll tell ya about one.
Martel had this storyline with the great British Commonwealth champion Billy Robinson, Robinson as the heel and he was rarely a heel. Martel was the territory's ace, and so damn over some of the beatings he got caused riots. Robinson comes to Montreal, beats Martel. They wrestle in Calgary for Stu Hart, Robinson beats Martel. Robinson and Martel have their return match in Montreal, AGAIN, Robinson beats Martel, and to add insult to injury, takes up as a manager Eddy "The Brain" Creatchman, a very abrasive individual indeed, who was also managing fellow nice guys Abdullah The Butcher, Tiger Jeet Singh & The Original Sheik.
Martel was in the pits. Interviewed in his home (In the 70's, this stuff was way ahead of its time!) he would go into fits of frustration so hard he would cry. He HAD to beat Robinson. A matter of life and death almost. He was disgusted with himself so much that he brought his little nephew Kevin (Who was like 5 or 6 then, and is working today!) on-screen and told him that if he lost to Robinson again, he should change his name and never be a Martel because it would be a shame for him to carry his uncle's name.
Then came the training packages, showing Martel sparring with Edouard Carpentier, doing stretching exercises, and eating well, which was shown to be drinking the most disgusting glasses of blood-infested (!!!) raw eggs you ever saw.
Then came the match, in front of a sold-out Montreal Forum. The place was ELECTRIC!
And Martel got the worse beating of his life.
Man did he ever sell like a king.
But at the end, HE WON!!!!
It's said the pop caused a security person to go deaf. No joke.
