This rare, hardcore footage of WWE Legend Roddy Piper busting a full bottle of beer on his head comes from Dec. 21st, 1979 at the historic Portland Sports Arena!!

Yup! He did it in Vancouver Canada, and I was in studio watching! This was to promote an upcoming cage battle for the Canadian tag belts(Piper and Martel won). Roddy gave so much for this match. Thanks Roddy!

It can't be tracked, as it's not from a VHS. All this footage comes from before that. It was a box of waterlogged tapes found in a locker. Be thankful it even exists to look at.

Portland Wrestling Thank you for the upload! Roddy Piper was my favorite wrestler ever! I did not know he booked for Portland Wrestling in 1989. Just thought he made a few appearances for them. How long did he do this? I guess it came to an end right before Summer Slam and his feud with Rick Rude.
If Only Don Owen's was willing to Spend $10 per Episode of Portland Wrestling to preserve an Incredible Wrestling Legacy on Tape! So many memories!

When I watched Portland Wrestling back in the day, I always remember seeing Parsons in ten-minute broadways in the opening match but doing little else. I guess he was working higher up on the card back then, not in Portland but rather in some shithole promotion in Wyoming called Rocky Mountain Wrestling. You know, the kind of promotion that had Terry Orndorff instead of Paul, or Steve Lawler instead of Jerry.
Also, Piper did a bunch of promos around this same time where he lifted that lyric from "Manic Mechanic" by ZZ Top. At least this time, he more or less admitted it by referring to it as something he heard on the radio.

No. Children love professional wrestling and professional wrestling loves children. I find it more disturbing that someone finds this video disturbing when there are children in the Middle East and Africa being taught to murder other children with guns and machetes. Priorities, mate.
