+TheRetrofitSource Inc I purchased thisrealy kit to install my ccfl angel eye halos on my 09 traiblazer SS. the hid kit that comes with the headlight assembly plugs in perfectly with no problems. I only had to make one mod to the unit. I had to splice into my factory harness with the connect that was provided with the hid headlight assembly that I purchased. THIS WAS NOT AN ISSUE WITH THE REALY KIT I PURCHASED IT WAS BECAUE OF THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY I HAD!!! . Long story short the headlight assembly is working flawlessly now. No flickering and both headlights fire instantly and every time it was worth the $30 bucks for the harness. My factory light are 9006 and 9007. the headlight assembly I purchased runs h7 hid bulbs. As I stated previously the mod was a quick fix and super easy to do thanks guys. i been dealing with the hid lights working on and off for awhile now this was just the fix I needed!!!
You might want to try a PWM module before getting into a relay harness - 2015 Mopar vehicles are the worst for canbus compatibility with LEDs. www.theretrofitsource.com/gtr-lighting-pwm-hid-kit-modules-ACC.PWM5202.MOD?quantity=1
Is there such thing as a relay harness for LED kits? I'm trying to hook up LED's to a car with OEM HID's. I'm assuming I need to bypass the stock ballast somehow instead of just plugging in an LED bulb into a stock HID setup. Figure that might be dangerous.
Have an 07 Forester I just installed everything on and low beams work but no highs on the bi xenon just my factory halogen high beam. Do I need to wire in my oem high beam wire to the oem/TRS harness as well ?
I have a 2016 t4r. Is the relay harness really necessary. Also do you have a video install for it. Also trying to find a install video on the mori fog lights for 5th gen t4r. Thanks
Had to swap + & - pins on the OEM input to match my vehicle wiring. No biggie but something to pay attention too before someone claims their system isn't working.
Considering pulling the trigger while my headlights are apart and making/modding a functional Quad bi-xenon setup. Could I use two of these harnesses? One both driver lights and one for both passenger side lights without issue?
I just performed my first retrofit & installed a HD relay harness paired with a D2S ballast + bulb. So far everything worked for a good hour then now the driver side flickers consistently without the ignition being on. I have tried to reseat everything, pulled the oem plug on the harness, still flickers. But Its weird because when I turn on the headlight all the way, the flickering will stop and as soon as I turn it off the flickering will continue. Any ideas?
Very strange! It sounds like the relay is still sending power to the bulb for some reason. Try swapping the relay's around and see if the flickering moves to the other side. Shoot our customer service team an email for further assistance! support@theretrofitsource.com
a few questions, #1 for a 2013 Ford Edge with stock halogo, do you have a high low 9012 hid or led kit? do I need this power relay harness? or anti flicker? thanks in advance
@@RetrofitSource Thank you very much, my last question: if i have a canbus system on my headlight that detects when a bulb is out, is it going to continue to power the relay? because the relay itself will draw like below 1W power? Im interested in this relay just to protect my stock wiring, but i want to make sure this will work in parallel with cars canbus system. Many thanks!
Got a Question. How come my passenger HeadLight does not flash out the same color as my Driver side headlight? One side is Blue and One side is White. Any clues of what i did wrong?
switch lamps between themselfs if color remains same on each side no matter of bulb you got a ballast problem, but if you switch bulbs and color is still blue its a bulb problem.
@@Hunter-ck4di I figured out the answer bro, so u just plug one side and leave the other taped off since they will both be running on signal and power from the relay harness connected to the oem plug on the side closest to battery 👌🏻
Do I actually need this? My headlights are in my fender not in the engine bay so it will be an absolute nightmare to install this. Also most ppl on the forums find the headlights work better without this harness as well. I have a 12' altima coupe.
+lilseip-B14 we highly suggest it for a variety of reasons. The stock H11 connectors on an Altima wont connect to the inputs of most ballasts, which uses 9006. If a ballast ever malfunctions, it will take it out on the relay harness, not your factory wiring - which would be a nightmare. Beyond all that, the stock wiring is really only rated to power a low amperage halogen light bulb, not an HID ballast - so you could run into issues such as misfiring when trying to turn on the lights, cutting out, or premature lifespan. All in all, yes it will take you about 20 more minutes to install - but will be well worth it.
Great harness with one major flaw.... the opposite side ballast connector is too short to properly run the wiring for even the smallest of cars like a Kia Forte. I had to buy the $15 9006 extensions, thus sucking me into spending more money when they could have just made this wiring longer. SMH
hey I know I'm supposed to reply but the only thing i need to know is where did you hook up the wires for solenoid switch for the bright lights ? and I found out anti flicker is on the OEM input. find a damn good ground. grind or sand a bolt to body of vehicle so theres no paint just metal for ground.
Also one of the most overlooked things is to make sure you have a good ground. If lights don't work check your ground.
Daniel Udrija Yes, we try to stress that as well. no plastic, painted, or rubber parts! bare metal only

Is this harness for your Head light on a C 7 Corvette?
This could be used in a C7 Corvette!
Can I connect the ground wire closets to the battery on the negative of the battery or does it have to be grounded on the chassis?
moochvaj battery is fine.

For how many AMPs is the fuse rated?
20A.
