Im sorry, but vergil saying "where did you learn to count" is the most human vergil has ever sounded, like ge actually hung out with dante before becoming an edgelord
That's one thing I always really appreciate about Dante and Vergil, that despite being lifelong enemies, they're still brothers. If not for Mundus, I can all but guarantee the two would have been best friends.
Despite the fact that if we count all the time they fight from 1-3-5 Dante lead by 2 point. 1: 1 Vergil 2 Dante 3: 1 Vergil 1 Draw 1 Dante 5: 1 Vergil 2 Dante 1 Draw
Not sure if this is a unique dialogue when playing Vergil but during the demon killing competition you have with Dante at the end, if somehow you tie scores with Dante he will say something in the lines of "What? A tie? I request a rematch!"
1:29 if anyone is wondering btw, this is a dubbing error, not the wording but the tone Vergil is addressing it in. What Vergil really meant was that he didn’t have any idea what Dante was going on about until he eventually understood the implications in that.
If you use Dante's summoned swords with the gunslinger style against Vergil's mirage blades, Dante says "You can't always have it your way!" to which Vergil replies "Interesting..."
Quick FYI. 1:31. The reason vergil sounds like he knew about his son in the fight is a translation error. In the original japanese he says something like "Son? What are you talking about?" But we got it mixed up somehow

I think it also activates if you have gunslinger style, and summoned swords active, either by being in DT or activating dsd's buff Dante will send his own swords after vergil's!
I ended up checking out the japanese version - makes a bit more sense. Vergil said something along the lines he "didn't know about he has a son" / "I don't know what you're talking about" and instead of saying "Are you still wounded from your fight with Nero" - which is confusing cause they didn't fight- he says "Is the wound you got from Nero still hurts?" edit: I wouldn't say for sure this was just a translation error, just because the lines are a little bit different - and I'm still a fan of the idea that he already knew about a baby, but had to abandon it, hence why he "rejects his existence" cause he kept telling himself its not real, so he can process it better and move on - this could also explain why nero asking him twice during the fight to accept his existence: vergil could've already knew he has a son, but didn't know his name is Nero - could also explain his second reaction: "NERO is my son?" instead of being suprised he has a son in the first place
The 'are u still wounded from ur fight with nero' is just vergil trying to insult dante because vergil still managed to continue fighting even after he did an extra fight with nero but dante didnt
"My son...means nothing to me." Probably is a weird way to say that Vergil doesn't understand what Dante said, but it sounded like Vergil doesn't care if he has a son.
Vergil saying his son means nothing to him is Vergil simply not acknowledging anything Dante is saying by that point because he's so focused on the fight but he pieces it together eventually at the end of the fight when he has a second to actually think. Thats why he's less cold about Nero being his son afterwards. Also Vergil saying about Dante being wounded from his fight with Nero is simply Vergil taunting Dante because of the hard slap Dante got that made him essentially just tap out and take a breather to let Nero and Vergil fight it out.

Vergil isn't cold. He's a Tsundere. That's why his interactions with Nero is also weird. IT's almost like he doesn't want to involve him and be safe. If we actually get to hear the story of who his mother was, then we'll find more clues on whether or not Vergil was just being cold to him. We can see that it shouldn't be the case where he sees Nero as pest since we get to see V interacting with his family and their friends.
1:29 I always viewed that response from Vergil is him way too into the fight with Dante to realize what was revealed to and once he cools off a bit he fully processes that information hense at the end of their fight Vergil brings the topic back with him asking Dante about Nero being his son
1:30 might also be he's so enthralled in the fight, he doesn't give it weight, letting his ego overtake to prevent the revelation from distracting him from the fight. We know at this point he does NOT like to deal with his emotions and has very defensive and aggressive reactions when he feels vulnerable, lmao
1:23 Fun Fact: in a different language when Dante reveals Vergil has a son, in English of course Vergil just says "My son, means nothing to me!" But in one of the different languages he gets confused and goes "Wait... My son?"
Dante should have the following dialogue during the demon killing contest between him and his brother: If he kills less demons than Vergil: “You beat me this time… but the battle’s just begun!” If he kills the same amount of demons as Vergil: “Look at that, a tie. Are we ever gonna settle this?” If he kills more demons than Vergil: “Took out more than you did. You ready to accept defeat, Vergil?”
About 4:40 It for the turn back before stab, it could be a reference to the same cutscene, but including the later half of the scene where he uses the rebellion to stab Dante as well
In the second fight, Vergil is both tired and don't want to kill his son so he didn't use fully his strength to fight Nero because he only want to settle the matter with Dante, not Nero
Honestly I doubt that Vergil was going easy, he’s not the type to go easy on anyone, not even his brother. So I doubt he’d go easy on his son whom he’d never met

You forgot the dialogue fro when Nero uses his buster moves on 1) the doppelgänger and Vergil in DT, and 2) when countering the “prepare to die” divebomb attack
I know about bustering Vergil, but Nero doesn't say anything interesting so I didn't include it o-o and I honestly don't know how to counter the divebomb attack :D
Alright so in DT as Nero and while SDT Vergil is stunned on the ground if you buster him the Doppelgänger will pop up, but in DT pressing buster again will also grab Vergil and will result in a unique line
You forgot the detail where when you buster Vergils flying rush attack as Nero, Nero says “You will accept… My existence!” As he absolutely drops Vergil
An interesting thing that most people don't tend to notice in regards to boss Vergil fights (And only the Vergil fights as Nero and Dante, the 2 part duel against dante as Vergil doesn't seem to have those) is that both songs ("The Duel" & "Silver Bullet") appear to be completely dynamic. "The Duel" starts out with a rock-like instrumental with distorted guitars, there's also bits of a synthetizer playing reminiscent of "Vergil 1" from DMC3, it starts out as Dante's song with bits of Vergil's leitmotifs. Then when Vergil busts out his shiny new Sin Devil Trigger, the track does a 180 and shifts over to an orchestral composition and backup guitars. The song inverts itself, mainly having Vergil's leitmotif with elements of Dante's. Then (Probably when Vergil's SDT runs out) the song shifts to a neutral but unstable mix. A choir singing Dante's and Vergil's names can also be heard until the end of the battle when the song branches over to the cutscene version. "Silver bullet" is much more obvious and involve the player much more. The song starts out as a violin piece but when either Vergil's health drops to around 20/33% Idk or Nero activates his Devil trigger the song transitions to an instrumental boss remix of Nero's standard battle theme. Then the player can switch over the remix to a vocal variant if a Nero in DT grabs a staggered vergil in SDT then presses the grab button again when Vergil tries to summon a doppleganger when nero tries to grab him. Nero will grab both Vergil and the clone and slam their heads together then immediately afterwards the track will shift to vocals.
The massive human structures in the background of the ending sequence fight with Dante and Vergil, coupled with the tall white grass stuff in the fields remind me of the wandering souls in greek mythology who go to Asphodel in the afterlife. Pretty sick stuff but could also just be absolutely a coincidence.
8:37 Dante's probably enjoying his last moments on the surface, because he knows what he needs to do next after the fight. Based on DMC 1 dialogue, he says that the sky is fair and that it will always be up everyone's heads, however he's just seizing the moment to see the sky for one last time before he goes to the underworld for a very long time.
You actually forgot about some phrases If you grab Vergil as Nero during his dive bomb, Nero says: “You will accept my existence!”. Also, if you use summoned swords on gunslinger style to block Vergil’s mirage blades, Dante says: “you can’t always have it your way!” And Vergil will say “interesting”. Also when you deal enough damage to Vergil as Dante, he will say: “Think you can beat me? Not in million years”, Vergil will say: “Say that until you win, if you can”. There’s probably more phrases but I forgot
I believe there’s a Dialogue that if Vergil don’t kill any demons at the end. He states: “So what if number don’t matter, I won’t lose at all!” Or somewhat like that.
3:48 Vergil says that because when Nero appears in the boss arena Nero hits Dante on the ground and Dante just lays on the ground for the entirety of Nero's fight with Vergil
6:05 nope, thats another line if Vergil killed more than you: Vergil: -You beat me this time, but the battle's just begun -You're sluggish ..... Tie: - Dante: "Look at that, another tie... Are we really gonna settle this?" Dante: -Took out more than you did, ready to admit defeat vergil?
I mean, it's not really dialogue and ig many people know it already, but if you do the EX taunt as Vergil, Dante also does his EX taunt. But he must be in a state between attacks so it sometimes is a bit hard to pull off
I think when vergil says are you still wounded from your fight with nero his making fun of dante cuz he had to fight nero and get more tired but he still beats dante in the demon kill count
Him first saying that his son means nothing to him clashes quite a bit with the following cutscene where he goes "Wait Nero is my son? What the hell?". It just feels weird
One thing I found interesting, maybe it’s just me but I feel like Vergil waits a little bit before attacking Nero where for Dante it’s immediately either summon swords or a stab. I don’t know why in this video Vergil attacks Nero almost 3 seconds in but for me. He’ll walk around a bit, and after maybe 5 - 6 seconds if you don’t attack him he’ll attack
you see, thats what I was thinking about putting into the test as well, thats why I started recording the fight - but after a lot of restarting, it seems like sometimes he attacks immediately, sometimes walks around a bit, its completely random and both fights are quite the same I believe, but it would've been a cool detail
@@Artobacco I meant I noticed if you play on DMD, which is the hardest difficulty, Vergil attacks Dante immediately with raining magic swords, which is a surprising difference
Vergil saying "Yes" at the beginning is an odd show of honesty. He is compensating for his perceived weakness as a child and the fact that he just straight up shared that with Dante in such a matter of fact way is kinda cool.
did you hear what he says after he says "yes?" - I cut it out to be a joke because dante refers to him compensating for his small penis because the qlipoth is very big and urizen made it
-urizen is part of vergil, he summoned the qlipoth -dante knows this, and observes that the qlipoth got huge, so he says"wow this thing got real big", "you trying to compensate for something?" -referring to him having a small penis to compensate for -vergil replies: "yes. Your incompetence"' -as a comeback. I cut out the your incompetence part to make a joke, to make it sound like vergil agreeing he is compensating for his small penis
In the Japanese Version. When it comes to his son he says, "My son? ...That means nothing to me." To imply that he was surprised he even had a son. But treated that information like it wasn't important to him.
I I always found bitter sweet about Vergil is the way he talks about Dante, Nero and Sparda. He acknowledges them as family, and sometimes almost in an affectionate way when he says “little brother” and his taunt were he pulls out the devil bringer ( Nero’s right arm) he states “There is no time for doubt I know what must be done” which to kind implies he has doubt and regrets about ripping his sons arm off, but he can’t sulk when he is in combat. Then Dante doesn’t really show that affection as much. Hell in the first game ( in the Canon) he straight up just denounces his father, hell and only emotion we get is the end of 3 and on wards.
yeah, hm I never considered the no time for doubt part, interesting o-o yeah vergil likes to refer to themselves as brothers and point out they are both sons of sparda, and wants to take pride in it~
The way I see it is, Dante and Vergil are both manchildren. They had arrested developments from trauma. Despite being much older than Nero, this comes out. Now, Nero has also had massive amounts of trauma, but the difference is, he HAD people. He had Kyrie and Credo, friends and family. Despite being kind of a rude boy, he GREW UP, and is an adult. Dante and Vergil are not used to this. This is also the first time they've ever had anyone in their family tell them to calm down and stop trying to kill each other. V tells Vergil's perspective on this to Nero earlier when Dante is fighting Urizen. And Nero has the adult reaction: "That's IT? That's dumb! They don't have to kill each other what the hell?" He has a similar reaction to their deathmatch. Really, all things considered, and as much as we'd all love DMC 6, this is the perfect ending. It ties up many loose ends (Mundus notwithstanding) and Vergil actually seems to like his kid.
exactly, I love how dante and vergil acting like children by the end while nero becoming actually more mature than them and acting like their parent and put an end to their fighting :"D its hilarious and brilliant
The "Dante fighting Nero" thing probably was Vergil rubbing salt onto Dante's loss. He got bitch slapped so hard it wasnt even a fight. Its probably Vergil indirectly calling Dante weak.
4:00 He was being sarcastic. Being that Vergil was the one that should be tired given that he fought both Dante and Nero - while Dante did not; and yet wasn't able to keep up with Vergil. This dialogue changes if you kill more demons than Vergil during the credits.
One thing of note in the Nero fight that I find interesting. If you grab Vergil from his flying attack, Nero will say "You will accept my existence." And after a certain health threshold, it will lead to the "are you feeling accepting yet?" exchange. So if you can manage to get Vergil to do the dive attack, which then puts him passed that health threshold, the two lines flow together perfectly.
You can actually grab Vergil when he's doing his flying attack when fighting him as Nero. Nero says this line as he does a wrestling slam on Vergil; "YOU WILL ACCEPT... MY EXISTENCE!!!" Nero really wants his dad's approval.
When he's talking about Nero being his son midfight, he probably responded without thinking, hence why he questioned dante after the fight ("Nero... is my Son?!")
when you activate Nero's Devil Trigger the first time in the battle against Vergil, in addition to him saying "fuck you" he also raises his middle finger during the transformation
vergil was most likely mocking dante in his voice line when he wins the credits competition, pointing out that he did better despite fighting nero while Dante didn't. To be honest, you can hear the mocking sarcasm in his voice as he says it.
I’m convinced there was some kind of patch the game went through at some point because in the final fight as Nero, Vergil can maintain SDT for basically the entire fight but I swear when the game came out this wasn’t the case
I always took the oart about his son that Vergil is so focused on the fight, he's like "dont care, lets fight." And once they break, it finally sticks like "...waitasec, hol up-" But apparently translation error. Huh.
I wouldn't be 100% sure its just translation error, just because it translates a little bit differently - also it gives you a good headcannon that he already knew he has a baby and the mother died and had to force himself to keep saying "my son means nothing to me" so he can move on and pretend he is not real - therefore why nero also says things like "you will accept my existence" , or why vergil asks "accept your existence?"

Yeah I noticed those music shifts, but didn't know about Nero's buster can start the vocals o-o hm
The massive human structures in the background of the ending sequence fight with Dante and Vergil, coupled with the tall white grass stuff in the fields remind me of the wandering souls in greek mythology who go to Asphodel in the afterlife. Pretty sick stuff but could also just be absolutely a coincidence.
hm, I dont know what you refer to, but sounds interesting~
8:37 Dante's probably enjoying his last moments on the surface, because he knows what he needs to do next after the fight. Based on DMC 1 dialogue, he says that the sky is fair and that it will always be up everyone's heads, however he's just seizing the moment to see the sky for one last time before he goes to the underworld for a very long time.
You actually forgot about some phrases
If you grab Vergil as Nero during his dive bomb, Nero says: “You will accept my existence!”.
1:32 he actually said "Who is my son" but with translation errors and mixups they switched it to that
i missed the dirty/clean face detail and Dante chilling, also never really looked at those statue, thanks!
nice :3
If you block Vergils summon swords with Dante's summon swords ( devil trigger using gunslinger) you get something nice
1:30 my head canon of this part is because Vergil is in a very intense state of the fight so he blurted out like that.
6:43 I mean V is only a few days old
I believe there’s a Dialogue that if Vergil don’t kill any demons at the end. He states: “So what if number don’t matter, I won’t lose at all!” Or somewhat like that.
interesting~ I always hit some demons so never heard of it
3:48 Vergil says that because when Nero appears in the boss arena Nero hits Dante on the ground and Dante just lays on the ground for the entirety of Nero's fight with Vergil
ye
6:05 nope, thats another line if Vergil killed more than you:
Vergil:
-You beat me this time, but the battle's just begun
-You're sluggish .....
Tie:
- Dante: "Look at that, another tie... Are we really gonna settle this?"
Dante:
-Took out more than you did, ready to admit defeat vergil?
3:55 Vergil is just making fun of Dante for going down after getting slapped by Nero once.
I mean, it's not really dialogue and ig many people know it already, but if you do the EX taunt as Vergil, Dante also does his EX taunt. But he must be in a state between attacks so it sometimes is a bit hard to pull off
yeah, I shown all his reactions in next videos :3
@@LadyAsmodeus very noice, guess I'll go watch 'em now
I think when he says "fight with Nero," Vergil is jokingly referring to the bitch slap Dante received.
This is the most detailed video I have ever watched.Great job.
aw :3
I think when vergil says are you still wounded from your fight with nero his making fun of dante cuz he had to fight nero and get more tired but he still beats dante in the demon kill count
5:35 Yeah, that’s exactly what I said right after that scene.
5:41 this is the Vergil i know and love. The mean and cruel Vergil (edgy i know, idc tho)
its fine :3
I think those giant statue things in the back may actually be Qliphoth seeds.
yeah thats what I was thinking too, they could be related to the tree somehow
Thank you so much for doing this video! I'm glad I'm not the only one obsessed with all the details! Btw V needs bedtime cuz he's only 2 days old! :D
aaaw glad you like it :3 yeah V is technically nero's brother
6:27 no its just something V says when nightmare uses the big fuck you laser (domination) as you can see, he's charging it up right here so thats why
yeah, I know, I corrected it in the next video :3
@@LadyAsmodeus a sorri D:
Him first saying that his son means nothing to him clashes quite a bit with the following cutscene where he goes "Wait Nero is my son? What the hell?". It just feels weird
I always liked the small detail where if you do lose all your health Vergil will teleport right behind you to pose for the Continue Screen.
Vergil and Dante were going at it with their new forms and all it makes perfect sense why he’s a bit “worn out” with Nero
@@LadyAsmodeus damn maybe I’m just lucky then, I can’t recall a time where Vergil attacked Nero immediately when I’ve played
@@Artobacco hmm, could also depend on difficulty maybe - but he often just circles around dante for a while as well, but I'll keep an eye out :3
@@LadyAsmodeus what difficulty was this on?
@@Artobacco I meant I noticed if you play on DMD, which is the hardest difficulty, Vergil attacks Dante immediately with raining magic swords, which is a surprising difference
Vergil saying "Yes" at the beginning is an odd show of honesty. He is compensating for his perceived weakness as a child and the fact that he just straight up shared that with Dante in such a matter of fact way is kinda cool.
did you hear what he says after he says "yes?" - I cut it out to be a joke because dante refers to him compensating for his small penis because the qlipoth is very big and urizen made it
-urizen is part of vergil, he summoned the qlipoth
-dante knows this, and observes that the qlipoth got huge, so he says"wow this thing got real big", "you trying to compensate for something?" -referring to him having a small penis to compensate for
-vergil replies: "yes. Your incompetence"' -as a comeback. I cut out the your incompetence part to make a joke, to make it sound like vergil agreeing he is compensating for his small penis
Not in a million years is a reference to The Bad DmC
Hell in the first game ( in the Canon) he straight up just denounces his father, hell and only emotion we get is the end of 3 and on wards.
yeah, hm I never considered the no time for doubt part, interesting o-o yeah vergil likes to refer to themselves as brothers and point out they are both sons of sparda, and wants to take pride in it~
the whole "Your death shall end your nightmare." is a phrase V uses when nightmare uses Domination.
I could look more into it, I swear V said it 3 times in a row when I fought vergil
If your wondering what the tie diologue was it’s What..? A tie? Not possible Again from the beginning!
4:00
He was being sarcastic. Being that Vergil was the one that should be tired given that he fought both Dante and Nero - while Dante did not; and yet wasn't able to keep up with Vergil. This dialogue changes if you kill more demons than Vergil during the credits.
1:36
I guess that maybe he just said the first thing came in his mind 'cause he didn't want to distract from fighting?
I know interesting thing when Dante dance in last mission when Dante and Vergil beating demons
8:19 DmC reference?
8:48 V - heck Nero, you break his neck
D - beautiful birds
N - nah, his just like this
V - agree
One thing of note in the Nero fight that I find interesting. If you grab Vergil from his flying attack, Nero will say "You will accept my existence." And after a certain health threshold, it will lead to the "are you feeling accepting yet?" exchange. So if you can manage to get Vergil to do the dive attack, which then puts him passed that health threshold, the two lines flow together perfectly.
I showed it in one of the new videos! :3
Oop. Well, beat me to it then XP Good work on these, there's a good few I didn't know were in the game at all.
You can actually grab Vergil when he's doing his flying attack when fighting him as Nero. Nero says this line as he does a wrestling slam on Vergil; "YOU WILL ACCEPT... MY EXISTENCE!!!"
Nero really wants his dad's approval.
lil ol Dante in distress at the end there
Vergil vs Nero be like: "I am the storm daddy's approaching"
Whoa nice, can't wait to watch the second part
glad you like it :3 I put up a short follow-up video
6:02 nahhhhh bros bout to use jce on his brother while he is down
1:33 i think it means he was just responding to dante without actually paying any attention to what either where saying
i was too focused on the final boss fight why didnt i actually notice dante hanging on the sidelines after all this time? 💀💀💀💀
When he's talking about Nero being his son midfight, he probably responded without thinking, hence why he questioned dante after the fight ("Nero... is my Son?!")
true~
I’m not sure how to feel about being observed like this
when you activate Nero's Devil Trigger the first time in the battle against Vergil, in addition to him saying "fuck you" he also raises his middle finger during the transformation
yeah, I tried to figure out how to get that animation, then gave up :"
@@LadyAsmodeus i think you get this animation when you use DT directly on Vergil to push him off ground
@@AlexandreCarlosJr hmm you mean right in front of him or something
vergil was most likely mocking dante in his voice line when he wins the credits competition, pointing out that he did better despite fighting nero while Dante didn't. To be honest, you can hear the mocking sarcasm in his voice as he says it.
yeah, I learned he pretty much says "is your wound you got from nero still hurts" in japanese version
I swear if dmc 6 turns out to be just a Nero game without Dante and Vergil, I'm gonna be pissed. Dmc 5 ending is perfect for a father son uncle game..
yeah, dante and vergil's main story is expected :3
after fight
vergil : i can still fight
dante: im just want sleep
that why vergil have more stamina
In DMC3 vergil walked away before stabbing dante. So Walking away before stab attack is a reference to DMC3
yeah I covered that in one of the next videos~
New Challenge: Beating Vergil, BUT hearing all lines in Dante Vs Vergil
already done and shown in other videos, but separately :'D it was quite challenging enough to get to triple S and make vergil / dante react to taunts
You forgot when vergil gets angry if you royal guard all his attacks and emote all the time
I covered those in the next videos, please check out the all dmc 5 details and dialouges playlist I made~
I’m convinced there was some kind of patch the game went through at some point because in the final fight as Nero, Vergil can maintain SDT for basically the entire fight but I swear when the game came out this wasn’t the case
I think that only happens if you're on Dante Must Die mode
Dante chilling on the side looking at the sky😂😂😂
correct me if im wrong, but when Vergil uses SDT in mission 19 it'll heal him immediately as well as heal him over time but not in mission 20
nero got caught snacking an night time 5:32
Pretty cool stuff.
In the Dante vs Vergil fight, if you taunt after a combo, vergil will taunt back.
Giggling and kicking my feet rn
I always took the oart about his son that Vergil is so focused on the fight, he's like "dont care, lets fight." And once they break, it finally sticks like "...waitasec, hol up-"
But apparently translation error.
8:38 never noticed that 😂 maybe I'm just too locked in
Vergil looking good in that thumbnail
If you try to grab Vergil with Nero's arm, Vergil still stabs you, but Nero makes it a reversal, trading damage.
I love this video and also your pfp omg
glad you like it :3
@@LadyAsmodeus totally random, but would you consider dante's reaction to vergil's doppelganger taunt a dialogue? it's one of my fave things about the fight hehe
@@melticdaze6584 its a taunting reaction I guess :3
Could you please do video about all dialogues between all the characters possible on Mission 13? It's basically the ONLY COOP MISSION in the game, where all 3 characters are gathered. btw awesome vid, thanks!
wait, do you mean they can actually talk to each other, if you meet other player's ghosts? I don't remember
@@LadyAsmodeus of course yes! And not ghost, but real players
@@dear_vergil well I tried to play through the mission, but I didn't get linked up to anyone's replay~ not easy to get it

@@dear_vergil thats what I was just thinking about. I got all of the dialogues so far, except cant match up dante with nero :" I'm not sure how exactly this online mode works. But you yeah, you can find me on steam by the name Eliza ^-^
I just realized that Nero has the same VA as Ichigo..
when he said is rushing blindly all you can do? if you keep still attacking him or do a stinger attack Dante will answer by YEAH! and a little laugh
There’s special phrases when you do a ex taunt at sss rating I think.
yeah many commenters pointing that out, and its the second day I'm trying to get that, but I'm just not that good in the game and cant get sss :" - I wonder what happens tho
@@LadyAsmodeus apparently it also work with just ss
@@RealisticMuscleMan no way
@@RealisticMuscleMan gonna keep trying :'3
@@LadyAsmodeus one more thing.
Apparently there are two more on mission 20 where if you grab Vergil and Nero during his dive bomb attack (the one when he is in his sin dt and flys around the map) he will have a line for doing it two different times.
