I need to clarify a mistake I made: I wrote in the video that Nero's lines doesn't change while he is on low health - but I tested it today, and he and nico says something different in mission 7: low health version: Nero: "I need you to get over here" Nico: "You in a twist? Wow, did hell just freeze over?" - while if you're healthy, the dialogue is more casual, Nero asking: "are you bored?" -also tested the missing voice line dialogue in japanese, it was still missing

@@LadyAsmodeus I’ll have to watch some more of your content! Thank you for all the effort you put it, it’s kind of staggering the quality of this video

I remember when Ninja Theory tried to justify not having a taunt feature was because it wouldn’t fit the tone of having a serious fight with Vergil and taunting him thus, breaking immersion. It seemed to be implemented here perfectly.
@@65firered That's not even the correct solution, the correct thing to do would have been to have Dantes taunts be context sensetive and just use the plentiful amount of both used (because he taunts enemies on his own in the story anyway) and unused voice lines and animations they had. The Empusa lore-accurate behavior reminded me of how Blitzes will often target other enemies in the room in DMC4, since they're blind lore-wise and rely mostly on other senses to find their target, which leads to them mistakenly attacking other demons.
@@LadyAsmodeusThe state pays in your name and it accrues as a debt against you, shows up in your credit report and everything. The Child Support system is kinda scary.

Awesome!! I had searched on RUclips before and never found anybody who had found that rare dialogue so it's cool that I could help share it with everyone
Honestly, these are really cool details that DEFINITELY aren't noticed in like 99% of playthroughs. Since the whole appeal of DMC is mainly that, it's not a challenge to win most of the time, it's a challenge to look cool while doing it. Unless you're extremely new, most players will hardly ever struggle on the first 2-3 difficulties.
Funnily enough, I actually got the M4 low health dialogue my first time playing DMD, because I messed up really badly the fight before. It's really neat how they added different dialogue even though most people will never see it.
That reminds me, there's a funny little detail that can happen with Vergil. At least during Nero's fight. Vergil's doppleganger will also react to being taunted, but it has no dialogue. Just the same animation as the real Vergil.
I just wanted to say that the reason why V has different dialogue at low health is due to a cut healing mechanic. Basically early on it was going to have soda that did different things like give DT and health like what the stars did in previous DMC games. In one of the stage clear photos you can actually see V drinking the cut soda and at the area with the billboard screens with Nero you can see the soda being advertised but it is hard to see.
I'm not a fan of the idea that his new and only goal is to beat dante - the only reason he wants to do it is to overcome some internal struggles he still has, and nothing more serious - and there is so much we dont know about what happened to him off-screen, so during that time he could've discovered other things he wants to accomplish~
@@LadyAsmodeusTo play Devils Advocate, I would like to pose the idea that Vergil found out about Dante beating Mundus; the one who ordered the murder of the Sparda family.
