Hi Paul, I setup a motion sensor outdoor as suggested and while it does indeed trigger my doorbell to record earlier, I can’t get it to play my default Alarm Tone. So when the notification arrives on my phone I can’t hear it. I have it connected to a Homebase 2. And suggestions greatly appreciated. D
Question - could I place it in my front window to view the front door as my doorbell camera isn't picking up motion, even tho' it was when I first installed it, and can you set an activation area as you would with the doorbell camera?🤔
howdy, can this trigger more than 1 cam at a time? like all 3 i have in my front yard? I have 3 tracking cams in my front, will they go to where the movement is? sorry for all the questions.
Yes you can set up multiple triggers in automations. And if its a tracking cam (like S340) you can select which pre-set position it goes to on motion trigger
Yes you can. So in Automations, you'd select the sensor as the trigger and the S340 as the action. In the S340 action you can then set a pre-set position to turn to on sensor triggered
Yes - automations using motion and entry sensors require a homebase

@eufysecuritycameraowners4795 thank you for your answer. Would you advise the homebase 2, or 3? I want a mix of cams, motion sensor and probably a keyboard/central station at entrance. All of this giving me notifications on case of movement when i am out of home
About how far have you been able to place this sensor from the Homebase3? I've got a 35m driveway and I'm worried if the sensor will reach the homebase in the middle of my house.
Mine is around 10m but according to eufy Motion sensors can be installed up to 100 feet away from the HomeBase. However, the following criteria will determine the actual range allowed between the sensor and the HomeBase. WiFi signal strength House’s building materials, whether it’s wood, sheetrock, cement, concrete, masonry, etc The number of obstacles and walls between the actual sensor’s location to the HomeBase
How long does it record for through the automation? My Eufy cam 2 pro’s normal automation records for 6 seconds which isn’t really enough. I’m not sure if you can change this?
Hi, lets say the motion sensor is outside on top of my van and inside there is the E350/340 connected to homebase 3. Is it also possible to automate an short pre alarm for example to play an recorded sound as soon as the motion sensor is detecting sth outside the van? Just as a warning? Or would the pixel detection (not the infrared) of the 340/350 also detect from the inside through the window? Thanks a lot! 😊
I wouldn't trust a camera to detect through glass as that is very hit and miss. However a motion sensor outside could trigger an indoor Cam to record. You should also be able to set an alarm in automations when the sensor detects motion

Hi, I like all you video but why cover your Tesla registration at 3:19 but not 2:24?
Because I'm an idiot 🤣

@user-qc1qb2kl8k I'm not sure - maybe ask this on our Facebook group

Surely if you activate motion in the doorbell app, then it should pick any motion within the area you set it for?
It should yes, but not motion as far away as the bottom of the driveway. The motion sensor activates the Doorbell recoding a good 5m sooner

I don't think it would work through glass.
Also you can't set an activation zone on the sensor; it just detects what's in front of it

@@eufysecuritycameraowners4795 Thank you!
Can't get the brand new motion sensor to sync. Any suggestions?
Can you use one of these to trigger the s340 to move to a specific preset position? I.e. to point in a specific direction?
Yes you can. So in Automations, you'd select the sensor as the trigger and the S340 as the action. In the S340 action you can then set a pre-set position to turn to on sensor triggered
Awesome, thanks for the info!
@frazerwallace7643 You're welcome! That is actually one of my favourite features on automations!
Do i have to buy the homebase for this?
Yes - automations using motion and entry sensors require a homebase

Honebase 3 comes with more storage and the Ai facial recognition so I'd go for that
@@eufysecuritycameraowners4795 i already have a pan and tilt 2k eufy cam. Is it compatible? Once again thank you for your reply!

Am I right in thinking I need the base unit for this to work? I have just purchased the wireless camera doorbell with the base chime. thanks.
Eufy doorbells work with or without homebase
question does your doorbell automatically record when motion or just view it on phone cant get it to record
It records on motion as well as doorbell press

Yes 6 seconds seems to be the max currently

@@eufysecuritycameraowners4795 thx! How is it possible to set an individual sound alarm? Or os just the standard possible?
@a.n5414 the 'action's a trigger can be 'sound alarm'
They really have to make these things outdoor capable. Hope that is coming, else useless to me unfortunately..
