In my country (Thailand), basil seeds are super cheap. I didn’t know they were comparable to chia seeds. I’m going to switch to basil seeds from now on.
I also live in Thailand and ran out of Chia seed and researched alternatives and found that Basil seeds were cheap and very accessible - not only that the Thais use them in many different desserts and I'd noticed from my wife's soya milk drinks a Chia-like seed... lucky us!
Excellent content. I first learned about basil seeds through Dr. Gundry, who talks about lectin and inflammation. I just bought the same brand you show in the video, they are organic basil seeds. I think the price is about the same as chia, this bag has double the amount as usually chia bags bring, therefore it cost a little more. What surprised me the most is that basil seeds absorbed the water in seconds, no particular flavor. The chia is more oily, b/c of more omega. I like these basil seeds and the idea of skipping the inflammation produced by the lectin.
Thanks for reviewing basil and chia seeds, Autumn, I hoped you would do this video. Nerd alert: I appreciate the thoroughness of your research. I switched to basil seeds recently, because of lectins, but cost is a factor, still trying to assess the differences in my diet. Love to you and yours 🥰💕😌
