Neighbors like you make the neighborhood a better place
Yeah when you are appreciative,
People today are mostly ungrateful.
You are very right. I hate selfish neighbours.
where do I find mechanic like this now days
really need one
He’s a really good person!

Great video, just curious is to how this car is doing some months later???
Kindaaaa curious about a pressure test AFTER the product was used...
1 dislike from the mechanic who installed the thermostat incorrectly :D
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️
Most likely the incorrectly installed Thermostat was the reason the car was overheating in the first place. I have read on Nissan Forum late models specifically after 2004 Altimas, Maximas are known for having overheating issues and causes Blown Head Gaskets.
Some toyota tundra i also see the jiggle face down at 6pm.
you can tell that car was so poorly maintained.
Sadly the oil gunk on the radiator cap gave it away, why go through all those other checks before you check the oil. I be the oil cap looks like peanut butter.
I like your style. Always follow destructions!!! 15:49
🤣🤣🤣
@15:49 always read and follow the DESTRUCTIONs
lol that was funny assuming it was a Typographical error ;)
I actually used Blue Devil back in 2012 on an Altima. While working in Colorado I was staying at a hotel. One of the girls that worked housekeeping had an Altima that would smoke like crazy when she drove it. I asked her if she had ever had it looked at. She told me a mechanic told her it would cost her $2500-3500 to fix. So, I began the research to get her the parts (cheaper). Then, I would work on it for her pretty cheap. Well, during my research I came across Blue Devil’s products. I picked the product that allowed sealing of the system without removing the thermostat(s). After 50min of idling it was good as new. I contacted her 3 or 4 months later... she said it was still running like a champ!!! So, Blue Devil does work as advertised!!!
Which one doesn't require removing the thermostat?
@iRideuWatch
The “white label” Blue Devil pour and go you can leave the thermostat in!
I just love the passing of time in his videos. Opening up the garage door on another day in the life of the home mechanic. Brilliant. 😁
Me too. I love how he does his videos. God Bless
Great camera, and great one-hand camera work.
Subaru owners swear by this product, too.
Might work for some but just buy a Toyota instead change the oil and coolant at the interval you’ll never have such issues to begin with. Subaru has a faulty design and they know it- do they care??? Noooo they just wanna sell ya another car loan at 100,000 miles!!
@@topherd1011 It's not much of an issue on newer models. It's caused by the thin single ply gaskets they use on the H4. The 6 cylinder (or turbo H4's) have thicker gaskets and don't have this issue, but post 2007ish it hasn't been as common on the NA flat fours.
Caleb J Boxer engines especially the ones made by Subaru have a tendency to blow head gaskets like mad. At about 100,000 miles. And don’t get me started on their CVT nonsense. CVTs in general are a solution to a problem that never existed. Toyota is even feeling the pain from CVT fuckups. Btw, the Toyota 86 uses the Subaru boxer engine and they too are blowing head gaskets at about the 100,000 mile mark. Those boxer engines are just junk.. and Subaru is well aware of it!
It's really just the fact that Subaru is cheating out on the thin head gasket for the four cylinders. Not an issue on six cylinder and turbo four engines. @@topherd1011
CDubs HasIt you do not know toyotas then. Toyotas were famous for leaking head gaskets. I am talking through the eighties and nineties. I quit buying toyotas. We used to put aluma seal in the radiator for a temporary fix. I am talking the 22R engines, and the 1.8 in the Corrollas. It was just standard at around 110,000-120,000 the head gasket would start leaking. My buddy would buy the toyotas with head gasket leaks and fix them and resell them. The Corrollas, Celicas, Cressida, and the pickups would be a dime a dozen with leaks, just bought the Toyotas with the least amount of rust. If you do not believe me look it up on the internet in Toyota nation website. Everybody drinks the kool aid on Toyota reliability which is true on some models and just the opposite on other models. In fact, if you bought a 2007 Camry it is listed as one of the top ten worst cars to ever buy- all time. Anyway, just do not generalize as to Toyotas being so great especially when there other cars out there that have been proven to be better.
Don't believe in blue devil this is just a patch job...... Let's tear it down and fix it... I used to have an altima so I know what I'm talking
oh ok. i will just wait till my neighbor has an overheating engine again. let's see how long it lasts.

@andrewcole9605
Just depends on how bad the head gasket damage is! I used the “white label” Blue Devil pour and go in my car 2 years ago and it has not worn down yet!
I like your style man. I've been twisting wrenches for over forty years and I would work with you any day of the week. I like your test setup, I made a similar one like your funnel and I like how you just put the stick into it to keep the liquid from pouring out as you moved it to the overflow tank. I also didn't know that some cars are made with two thermostats (I don't see many Japanese cars in my shop). It could very well be that the incorrectly installed thermostat was responsible for the gasket failure ( I wouldn't bet that the gasket was even done the first time around). I also like that you didn't edit your comments as you worked; a couple of them made me laugh out loud(been there, felt that) Great job on this video.
My Nissan Sentra/Versa 1.8 L engine got 2 thermostats. Smog regulations related. Also helps in cold climates to reach operating temperature, faster.

8:31 sounded like Caesar from Gta sa
You know hes a good technician when he dosent know how to use head gasket sealer
Blue Devil worked for me only for three days. The guarantee was only for what I paid for the bottle at the part store not for the labor. You need to keep the empty bottle to send back the barcode sticker. The company phone number is a voice mail. Try calling the company before buying the bottle.
I think the effectiveness of the product depends on the size of the hole. It didn't work for me. My head gasket was really blown. Water flushing out of the exhaust pipe. Blue Devil refunded my money no problem.
Distilled water is mineral free. Tap water has chlorine , and at least calcium in it .
good to know. thank you
This is when an exhaust gasket leak comes in handy for testing.
I thought you are going to turn into The Hulk trying to remove that hose!

Hey Angel 😊 i also live in Las Vegas nv, i own a Celica 99 gt. Previously, i also owned another celica but it has gone bad because of bad mechanics that always end up breaking things and say that it needs to be replaced so they can make profit. I need a reliable Mechanic like you. I dont mind the cost, as long as my vehicle is maintained like it's supposed to. I would really be thankful if you can become my mechanic and provide me with info to contact you
Please invest into tools, I've learned alot of ths stuff you just have to trust yourself. Had to bring our '08 mountaineer in for a repair for the first time in years because I didnt want to risk snapping the three bolt heads that hold the thermostat housing into the motor then have to tap new threads into a motor after getting it towed lol I was smart enough to park it until I had 300$ for the therm housing plus an ac flush, if your housing is leaking limp it with the drain resevoir cap cracked slightly so it doesnt buildup pressure from the radiator going in
I always do all my work on my 1999 celica super easy car to do maintenance and learning will save you lots of money great car
Bro, your video and was and funny ASF. Especially the part where you said PUTA because the hose wouldn't come apart. LOL. Good video man.
Another question is that how long will it last? The proper way is to replace the headgasket and have a peace of mind. Those sealers sometimes can block holes which already got narrow because of corrosion.
Vegas, id recognize that blue sky, the palm tree's, roof shingles and freeway, anywhere bro
Look on FB marketplace and Craigslist and you'll see more Altima 2.5s that need head gaskets replaced than dont...
JP in JC pisses me off because I got ours done 2 years ago and the damn head gasket went out again. It lasted longer than their 12k warranty but it was $1700 + $800 timing belt...I’m about to put this sealer in at this point if it doesn’t work we will scrap it. Stupid Nissan Altima 2.5s
Too funny! 😂👍
I love to see an honest mechanic at work. Thank you! 💞
Enjoy your videos. I myself do some wrenching on my own vehicles and family’s. Started young out of pure necessity. Most people don’t understand the blood sweat and tears that goes into fixing these things as well as the time to troubleshoot the millions of things that can cause a system to fail or run bad. Anyway just wanted to say thanks for your vids man, I have years of doing this work without the schooling so watching your videos helps pickup new techniques and tricks. 🤙🏼
It works.... for a while and then it blows up your engine. When the problem returns and the head is taken off, blue devil had clogged up all kinds of passages in the engine, radiator and heater core making it much more expensive repair
hey m8 when hoses get stuk on get a pair of multi grips with adjustable jaws and hold the pipe onto the end and grip hand tight and give the pipe a small twist around the end it will slide around the fitting and you can then pull it off easy instead of trying to pull it off with force. hope it helps. losing skin off the knuckles makes you learn new ways of making it easier.
Tristan Lockerbie thank you m8, I appreciate the tip. Have a great day
Wtf thermostat wrong install!. So not pro mechanic!. Wow cannot believe. Fucking save thousands dollars avoid replace head gasket and a lot of labor costly! Woooooow approved it!
man they sure spray the hell out you people in that town. nothing like toxic skies to brighten up a great video. Thanks bro.
None so blind as those who will not see, right? If people can't See hundreds of miles of geoengineered sky right in front of them then they are hypnotized.
15:50 always read and follow the destructions! Lol
I hear Blue Devil is great stuff but it didn't necessarily fix the problem. The temp could've been jumping up and down before the Blue Devil because it was low on coolant. Once the motor burns up some coolant it might start getting hot again.
I’d like to see the pressure test after...also a follow up in the future. Oh and TWO thermostats?
I have never seen so much oil being leaked from engines in my 78 years as what I see today. Every store parking lot has an abnormal amount of oil stain in each parking space. What happened to engineering?
Hi from Turkey..! Your videos are night therapy for me thanks a lot!
Now she's going to need a heater core and radiator soon. I have had to do to many repairs on peoples cars who have done this. I personally will not use any product that plugs up my cooling system, because it not only plugs up the head gasket, it also plugs up everything else in the cooling system. Either I fix the problem correctly or I don't do it.
How long did the blue devil work on the car before it began leaking again?
If used correctly. Works amazing. Tried it on a Honda Odyssey
Gasket was blown in all cylinders. Fixed it as if there was no issues. I later took motor apart to do gasket and timing stuff. No signs of blockage. Poured the pour and go into rad hose into cold motor. Ran motor for hour plus. Next day it was perfect. Highly recommended
It's not like the old school sealers.
I love milwaukee power tools.
Yeah I'm going to get one of those
Lol my friend Edgar fillipino looks just like you bro 😂 and acts the same , now i can say there is one per state
Angel, how long is that going to last before it leaks again,You just put a bandaid.
Up to the owner is she wants to pay up for a better job
Lot of work. Great job but need more time to tell if head gasket is really repair or merely delay expensive repair for short period of time.
Would be interesting to see if this repair holds up
Mt man 1949 the product works very well!!!!
I tried similar products at least 20 times on Volkswagen t3 bus / Vanagons, it always worked.
you guys ever try steel seal
@@lieberfreialsgleich 20 times???

Poor Altima:-| That fancy front grill should be replaced
That a Cambodian flag? . good stuff. Ibhavr 36 thats. One day into the devil. Feels good tho
philippine, guam and USA flag
I think you got the 8 cylinder bottle. The 4-6 cylinder was smaller and cost just under 40 bucks. Which means you used a little too much but may not be a big deal other than wasted cash.
On the small 4-6 cylinder bottle it doesn't mention removing thermostat...but it's better that you did.
Good work by good dude. 4.5 star on you
I have the same car and instructions said to use half a bottle (16oz) for up to a 3 gal. cooling system.
Okay it works but how long? No liquid can repair damaged gasket for long time? Or im meddle?
You will regret putting this stuff in any engine. Too bad I can't post pics of the Subaru engine it almost destroyed
Kevin Hill post it on my Facebook page.
Well done mate. How is the car holding up after that work?
It’s works temporary didn’t fix problem
Hi Angel... I watch your videos for a long time. Love to watch them. Big Hug from Portugal. Paulo from the channel RandomTubePT
Excellent video and I always follow your repairs ... success greetings from Paraguay and I hope you have some video about Nissan engine td27
Does this video remind anyone else of breaking bad or is it just me
totally
I've see head gasket blown so bad water comes out of the tail pipe like a water faucet.
Damn!
I deeply need help from someone because I don't have any money right now but I need to fix my car because it is the only way I can go to work back and forth. I wanted to try this method but I cannot understand the hoses I need to remove, in some videos, they only mentioned to remove the thermostat then flush the coolant, after that, pour the Blue Devil, let it run for an hour, then let it cool again for an hour, then bring back the thermostat, test drive for about 20 minutes or so(driving slow) then check again after 24hrs if the car is running great. The only sign right now is that the radiator has bubbles.
Hey Fix It Angel, how did the car hold up after using the product? It's been a year and how many mileage since then.
Love the videos, especially the ones you actually talk in. Keep them coming!
Using a sealer you’re risking even more damage to your engine than just a head gasket. Replace the damn head gasket.. it’s really not that hard. Putting sealers in modern engines is not a good idea... you plug up a coolant channel or oil channel, bye bye entire engine instead of a 50$ gasket and a weekend of work.

Dual thermostat ?!!
It works....!!!
But for how long .. so for now and on ... how much life time do you think 🤔 is still have it before the pressure and temperature take it back at the same situation .....
Nissans are garbage!! i take a mitsubishi, honda or toyota or subaru or mazda over a nissan anyday, their cvts sucks and a lot of engine problems from overheating to bad oil pumps...no nissan for me.. great video by the way!!!
I got a nissan navara that I bought new in Feb 2016 here in Philippines and so far has had ZERO issues, only need it oil changes ,wiper blades, cabin filters, engine air filter and finally a new battery after 3 years +,same dunlop tires with 32K kms.
@@theopinion9452 still too soon to have serious problems, navaras are pretty good, we know them here as frontiers, still should have got a mitsubishi L200 Triton or a Toyota Hilux which are thougher than the navara, or a Isuzu D-max..
I hate to tell You Guys, but Nissian and Mitsubishi Merged and Nissan has been with Renalt for years. That's why their quantity is bad now.
Thanks Pare' I think you just saved me from totally dismantling my engine for the head gasket. I just need to get it running good enough for smog. 🤙🏽
Did it work for you??
Why does it have two thermostats is it only Nissan or do all cars have 2 thrrmostats
I notice that too.... Wating for an answer...
My 2013 dodge journey has 2 thermostats as well
I have the same question in my mind? (2 thermostats) ?
I was wondering the same exact thing... My 2000 Accord SE has 1.
Many newer cars have two. There are two coolant circuits for quicker heat up time and lower emissions.
15:48 always read the destructions 😂
Those Nissan Altima's with the 2.5 are famous for head gaskets and it's because the catalytic converter becomes clogged and because it's SO close to the head it blows the gasket. Pretty good cars besides that.
Any update a year later? Is the sealant holding and is the car still going strong?
If you left the pressure tester hooked up and the head gasket is blown to a water jet it will fluctuate showing quickly a blown head gasket so just start it and watch the gauge
Hi Angel, did the fix last? Do you know if it still is holding up? Thanks for the update!
lol yeah it is a bandaid. It will fail and you will have one hell o a mess to clean up if you try to actually do the job. It may even damage it to the point that you need a new block or head, good luck with that.
Also: High speed clouds passing for the "timed" section of video... Brilliant! Francis Ford Coppola it's not, but its pretty slick for a mechanics RUclips channel.
Was replaced before for a new head gasket a year ago and still does the same thing . Could it be heads are warped ? Or maybe bolts are not torque correctly
Would love to hear the after 2 years update of Blue Devil Sealant.
Always read and follow the destructions lol

He mention on the video Nissan owner is a neighbor. Head Gasket job are labor expensive, likely why owner chose the chemical sealer in the first place way cheaper.
But how long will it last? And will it clog up coolant passages within the engine?
