    This is one of the best mechanic videos I've ever seen on RUclips. Great editing, short and to the point, no bs dialogue that really isn't that funny. You took the time to show the proper technique and tools. Most importantly, you gave thanks to the Lord above. Many blessings to you and your family my friend, thanks for the awesome video!

    Hi Angel, I enjoy watching your videos. It helps me understand the pitfalls as a beginner DIY and how to fix them on my cars. I also enjoy how you interweave your family in the videos. Being a Dad is universal. I can sooo relate to the dialog. :)

    Angel 😇 i really think your a great mechanic. Back home I've seen guys like you who can make anything work just about. Really smart and also generous for sharing your knowledge in depth. People realize that the sacrifice to film this while doing such an involved job takes Lots of effort and extra time. Ive done racks and the last thing im thinking about is filming. Thanks for the video I learned a lot🙏🏽👊🏽

    Great video! I too love your appreciation paid to God! I also love the boxing moves! Give a little pause to the whole “work” thing happening.
    My main suggestion would be to loosen/break the nuts on the outer tie rods before disassembling everything. That would save some frustration and muscle!!

    I hope that you continue your spiritual growth and be able as the head of your family to guide them to the full knowledge of Jesus Christ.

    • @tedwu9354
      @tedwu9354 Год назад

      Did you replace the bushings without taking out the steering rack? I'm worried it will damage the pinion seal like this video shows then I will need to buy a new rack. I'm about to do the same job.

    • @anupjthomas
      @anupjthomas Год назад +1

      @@tedwu9354 I got to the bushing without removing the rack, but unbolted a corner of the subframe for a lil bit of clearance. Used prybars. New bushing is so tight it took prybars to get the rack back in. Didn't do the other bushing on the right side but that doesn't contribute to play the same way.
      Those two bolts that hold the rack to the car are god-level tight. I used chemicals, flamethrowers, hammers, & the biggest impact gun I had. It was almost as bad as a Honda crank pulley bolt.

    • @anupjthomas
      @anupjthomas Год назад +1

      @@tedwu9354 And just to give a lil update, my 99 Sienna is driving better, straighter, and smoother than it has in 15 years. The improvement from changing just that one bushing will change your mind about ever selling these vans.

    • @tedwu9354
      @tedwu9354 Год назад +1

      @@anupjthomas Thanks for sharing your experience on changing the bushing. I'm scared to drive my 2004 Sienna on the highway. Going straight is fine but when I turn the steering wheel, the car starts beeping and ABS will activate and car will shift. I'm hoping by changing the bushing will correct the problem. I tried to remove the two bolts holding the sway bar but couldn't find a good angle. Maybe I will attempt to remove it from the top with a long extension. Thanks again.

  • @idealdetails
    @idealdetails Год назад

    I'm trying to use a regular 17mm wrench where you use the line wrench/flare nut wrench in the beginning. It fits on but getting leverage to loosen seems impossible a normal wrench goes on but in a different angle so prying it doesn't work. Might have to find me one of those wrenches but thanks for the video. I probably wouldn't even attempt this job without this guide.

    You make an impossible job on the ground look possible. There's nothing easy about frozen nuts and bolts on your back and no space to swing a wrench. You bring the reality of fixing cars, swearing and all, and show it all on your videos. I'm a fan and follower. My question is I have a 99 Camry with the same problem. Is replacing the rack and pinion unit on the Camry any easier on the 99'. I've replaced the control arms on the 99' , also on my back, but those were out there and not buried underneath, and against the firewall. I don't have your experience. but this is my only car and I've worked on the simple stuff since 2003. Thank you for any comments you may have. Love your videos.
