I used this stuff on my 1978 Triumph Spitfire 1500. I did try replacing the head gasket and had the head refurbished. It still was overheating and after a few oil changes the oil was still frothy. I had nothing to loose since the next step was a total rebuild or engine replacement and gave Blue Devil a try. I followed the directions and kept the car running with a fan in front of the radiator to keep from overheating. I swear, as the car ran it idled better and better, the steam from exhaust stopped. After multiple oil changes no more coolant in my oil and no more oil in my coolant. This was about 6 years ago. Of course this car is not a daily driver but I have driven it on a few weekend trips in steamy hot Florida with no head gasket leak at all. I highly recommend!

I did this to a 99 Ranger I purchased with a known bad head gasket but the truck was immaculate.I was prepared to just put a used motor in it.I saw this stuff at a Napa and thought id give it a try for $60.00.I followed instructions but actually used Prestone cleaner several times prior to the blue devil cleaner as the coolant system was pretty nasty. Also, instead of using the radiator drain I used pulling the lower radiator hose to get the heavy sediment out of system.Flushing/cleaning the system was the hardest part as I kept cleaning and flushing system with Prestone until water was clear AND THEN used the blue devil cleaner/sealer process. The whole cleaning process took me about 4 hours but I wanted to make sure I removed as much scale as possible. When I added in the blue devil sealer it did its job as promised. After that, I drove the truck lightly for about a month on short trips as to not put a bunch of stress on motor / coolant system. To this day the truck runs fine ! I don't know If I needed to do it the way I did but I figured If I wanted it to work I should give it as much help to do its job as possible. After the first month of driving lightly I used it as a regular truck like pulling a trailer and such. For the $60 gamble and effort put into cleaning the coolant system I can def.say it was well worth it.Sure beat putting a used motor in it for sure !!
Used it on my 05 2500HD Duramax 3 yrs ago still running great. Saved me 5K rebuild. 391K now. It works. Just pour in upper radiator hose on the 6.6L and follow directions.
So this video made me try it in my power stroke that had a coolant leak at an egr delete that I just installed and didn’t want to get back into it for a slow drip. Blue devil is absolutely bad ass stuff! I now stand behind this stuff. Great thing is it won’t mess up your cooling system because there isn’t any solid materials in it.
Used it in my Ford escort and drove 2 years np and was still working when i sold it. About to try it in my Cadillac deville. Update used it in my Cadillac and it's working great. I used the mechanical grade, just removed the thermostat, my fluid was clean so I skipped the recommended flush and installed product and its working great. Update: Still holding up and working great in my Cadillac 💪
Question for ya. I just had a coolant flush, new thermostat, and water pump, did you use the product with the coolant or water? I just purchased the big bottle and it says remove t-stat and remove coolant, and add water. Can't understand why I can't use the Blue Devil with fresh clean coolant... Thx
@@splash5974 I think it depends if you got the regular or the professional grade. I used the professional grade and removed/altered thermostat and just siphoned the radiator with a hose, filled radiator with water about 80% put half a big bottle in it filled the rest the way and started and run the motor for 50min and it worked great. I also changed the oil afterwards because obviously you don't want any water in your oil. If you got the regular grade I think you can just put it in without removing the thermostat, I think that's the way i did in my Ford escort, although there wasn't much antifreeze in the system anyway, if you drain the coolant you can reuse after the fix. Btw my Cadillac still holding up and running well.
@@robdaddy69 Good to hear it's still holding up! I also purchased the professional grade, large bottle. I just drained my coolant into a pail, flushed the rest out with a garden hose. Just had a recent flush. I removed the thermostat, but haven't got past that part yet. Tomorrow I'm gonna attempt pouring half bottle into my rad hose, fill the system with water, and run I for the hour... Fingers crossed it works for me!
Changed my spark plugs today and when I pulled one it looked like it had coolant all over it but so far I’m noticing minimal symptoms from what you said
Had a slow water burn issue on my 2006 Tacoma with 380K miles. I used Blue Devil, as directed flushing and removing after 50 minutes. It worked for 3K miles, but problem later came back. I’ve done it again but this time left BD in mixed with my radiator fluid. Been driving my truck now for about 10K with no problem. I would definitely recommend trying it.
@@PhillipsVision Can some one tell me if you have to wait to the next morning to drive it and try it out? or can you drive it after the 50 minutes are up?
@@PhillipsVision that's good to hear. My mechanic fixed my HG leak by using fiberlock. He said it just temporary. But i hope i can get a few years out of it.
ive used Blue Devil - w all coolant flushed- years ago.........good results. Ive also used BARS - different vehicle - as kind of a preventative: curiously I believe it messed abit w my knock sensor at the bottom of the engine (2002 GMC Savana 5.7L) ~ messing w the voltage/group of the sensor into the coolant. When I remove the sensor there was blockage from the BARS.
Man i did the pour n go a few months back and before that I did the flush too and worked fine for awhile and with the thermostat installed for the pour n go it busted my water pump one morning on my way to work and I let it drain completely and I got a new water pump and it’s worked fine since. That was with the pour n go in my system. And it left some white residue on my thermostat too it was crazy. I put a new thermostat on and new fluid and it ran fine and 3 days ago boom my temp started rising again. So I knew what it was. But before I should’ve let the car sit maybe a day or 2 days. To let it cure. But I followed instructions fine. It worked though. This time like I was saying a few days ago boom again. Now I’m doing the more advanced bottle yellow label bottle. I only used half the bottle for this because of my cooling capacity radiator it says. And removed my thermostat and I have like 20 mins left to run on idle and hoping this eel cause my problems to go away hahaha. But I’m investing into a new engine for my 2011 Corolla with 293k on the motor. So it’s had its day too. So maybe after it cools down I’m going to remove and drain. And put the thermostat on with new fluid run if for a day and drain to get the leftover blue devil in the system out and replace with new coolant. Hoping it doesn’t damage my water pump again. But this stuff works though. I think they should just have everyone use the yellow label bottle instead. Idk that’s just me though. Thanks cool video too sir👍
I also had the same blown water pump after using this. It was probably running for about 5 months with no leaks. I have a pretty serious head gasket problem that even a proper repair by a mechanic had the same failure and started overheating again and losing coolant. Now considering a used engine which I regret not doing because I got a great quote of 1000 installed. This is obviously a used engine. I ended up paying 1000 for the head gasket repair but I am guessing cracked Head. I may just try more stop leak, and sell the car, because it's a pretty old 2004 honda civic, that I am getting a little tired of.
I was camping and only had antifreeze gallon and a blue devil bottle I didn't flush because didn't want to polute the environment so I did this with cold engine and coolant and drove all the way home stuff still in there, I'm just saying it works with coolant as well
They apparently sell a version that does not require you to remove thermostat and does not require there only to be water and not radiator fluid. In my case the instructions merely say to make sure there is room in the radiator to pour in the 16 oz bottle. There may be radiator fluid in the radiator. And you don't have to drain it afterwards. Thermostat stays in.
Shops are self preservation meaning they do what it takes to for you have the car fix by them for profit. Unless, the shop is honest and will recommend try additive first and see if that helps. Another way to check if no tail pipe smoke, etc is to use an endoscope and check which piston is like steam cleaned that would the cylinder that is blown other than coolant mix with Eng oil, bubbles to reservoir when hot etc
You are correct! Just a bandaid. If the vehicle is still running with a head gasket leak, the gasket isn't fully blown. This product and others may seem to cure the problem for a time but, eventually the gasket is going to fail completely. All you're doing is putting off the inevitable that will cause major damage when it does go.
Okay I have a coolant leak on a 5.7 Hemi it's on the Block and where the timing cover housing meet next to the water pump I just fix the water pump leak 5 months ago or six by replacing it and ceiling it properly with silicone now the part that sandwich is to the block which I believe is the timing cover housing in front of the block I have a seepage it's slowly leaking and drying up on the Block can I use this product and how much do I need should I use half the bottle or all the bottle I don't want no temperature issues down the road thank u for your time
2 more symptoms of the head gasket leak (the one's I found) are 1) radiator cap purging, but car not over-heating and 2) heater not blowing heat when engine is warm.
Actually I just had one of these symptoms on a high mileage truck I recently bought. The overflow tank was filling up every time I ran it and if I didn't suction the coolant out and put it back into the radiator manually with a hand pump, it would eventually push out the overflow tank. I can smell exhaust in the coolant too. I looked around and I'm pretty sure the guy before me loaded up the parts cannon trying to figure this out because the water pump, radiator, thermostat housing, and all radiator hoses were basically brand new. Lesson learned, I'll always look for blown head gaskets on used trucks.
Heater works when engine is warm. If your heater is not working, most likely there is air in the system. If you start it cold with the radiator cap open, let it idle till engine is warm, put your heater on max, and rev the engine till the heat comes back. If its caused by air this works 100%
A huge one he missed here is signs of oil in the coolant. The same chocoloate milkshake effect as you see on the dipstick can be seen on the coolant cap sometimes
I have a Lincoln MKC with the 2.0 EcoBoost. I've learned these are notorious for gasket leaks resulting in the need to replace the longblock. Would this work as a preventative?
Not sure. This product, unlike others with particles, has a chemical agent that causes gaskets and seals to swell and block leaks. I would wait to put it in until something’s starts to manifest.
I've used Bars Stop Leak to try to fix a blown head gasket. It failed miserably and gunked up the cooling system. The reason that I used the Bars is because unlike other stop leak products, its instructions noted that the thermostat didn't need to be removed, and that's a real issue for my 2003 Chevy Impala 3.6L because the thermostat is prohibitively located under a crossover pipe that needs to be removed to access the thermostat, otherwise it's a bitch to remove. And then it needs to be re-installed after the stop leak is added and circulated. That's GM's engineers, always thinking of us.
I’ve worked on that engine before, it’s hard to do anything. The problem with Bars is what you stated; it clogs up things and cakes up on the thermostat. Blue Devil does not use particles so it will not cause that.
@@PhillipsVision *UPDATE:* Last Saturday I used the K-Seal to stop the leak on my 2003 Impala's heater core and I'm delighted to report that it worked exactly as promised! It worked very fast, too, exactly as promised, within a few minutes. I removed some of the coolant from the radiator by drawing it out with a Prestone antifreeze tester to make room for the K-Seal and ran my engine to full operating temperature with the radiator cap removed BEFORE adding the K-Seal because I wanted to allow the thermostat to open as fully as possible so that the K-Seal could circulate uninhibited. Then I began to add the K-Seal but was only able to about 1/3 to 1/2 of the 8 oz. bottle to the radiator before it filled to the neck, so I added the remaining K-Seal to the coolant recovery tank. I put the radiator cap back on and continued to allow the car to idle with the heater turned on to max. hot temperature to give the best chance and so far it is apparent that the leak is fully repaired and hopefully permanent. Damn, I wish that I'd tried this on the 2003 Impala several years ago when it developed a blown head gasket leak that I suffered with and ended up replacing the engine for $1800 which was the best alternative. I'm unsure if K-Seal would work as well for a head gasket leak but it would be well-worth the try with a $13.24 bottle of K-Seal from Walmart. Thank you and thank K-Seal. *I highly recommend it.*
2007 Chevy equinox blown head gasket where do I pour it I don’t have a radiator cap and I’m only at 120,000 miles I’ll update as I go please let me know how to do it on this car
Tried this last night and then a second (other half the bottle) this AM gonna let the car sit while I am at work today then check my dipstick again. My oil was COMPLETELY contaminated with coolant too.
@@splash5974 man I am still driving that small block 350 and have yet to have many further issues or taken the block apart to see what damage I did! Worked for me and my old engine 🤘🏾😎
Great video. I like its to the point and doesn't start getting off track. My question to you is, once you complete the blue devil steps. It says to cool and drain some fluid. Can I drain ALL the fluid and add the correct radiator fluid back into my car. Or do I need to leave some in there to keep some of the blue devil product in there. Also when you begin the process. Do you fill up just the radiator with water. Or did you fill both the radiator and the reservoir
@@PhillipsVision What happens if you live in a cold environment, and need to remove enough water/Blue Devil to meet the 50/50 requirements for antifreeze? If I leave straight water in it, I'm worried it will freeze and break lots of stuff
@@PhillipsVision ok thank you! I've prepped everything today, gonna pour in the Blue Devil and water tomorrow, run it for the hour, then drain it once cold. I wonder if running a couple hot/cold cycles will be beneficial, rather than drain it after 1 try?
Don’t put it in the reservoir. It’s needs to go directly into the cooling system. If you don’t have a radiator cap, disconnect the upper radiator hose and add it directly there
I am going to try it on my 1998 F250. I just recently replaced my head gaskets and the engine runs very nice, but after 200 miles, it started to leak again. I must have an issue with my engine head but I want to try this before I start to take it apart again. My oil is milky. When do I change my oil? Do I change it before doing this application or after? Im just thinking that if I change it before, and put new oil, water will get into the new oil until this application is installed. But is it ok to let the engine idle for 50 min with the milky oil? Great video and information by the way. Thank you for doing this.
I used this product before watching this video. Bottle didn't say to remove the thermostat. I changed the spark plugs and noticed humidity on them. That made me use BD. After 50 miles of use, my car didn't want to start. Misfire issue again. I remove plugs again and noticed a bit of water. Changed ignition coils and the car started. Now I will add another 16 ounces of BD. What will be the issues if I don't remove thermostat and don't flush the coolant. Radiator is new and fresh coolant and new inlet thermostat ( the other thermostat is the exit one) is new.
If your bottle didn’t say yo remove the thermostat, then it was probably the Blue Devil “Pour N Go” version. I’ve never used that one but heard it works the same. I believe the thermostat needs to be removed so the sealer can flow through without any obstruction.
Do I need to drain the mixture and top up completely with antifreeze again? or add blue devil again, since it is still leaking liquid from the exhaust and I did that 5 days ago@@PhillipsVision
I have a coolant leak and my coolant was bubbling like crazy today and I know that my 8th cylinder is dead so I’m going to fix the coolant leak but then hopefully this will fix my problem…I have such a hardcore misfire too lol
Blue devil head gasket sealer doesn’t cause the gaskets to swell like it does with the blue devil oil sealer. The head gasket sealer is liquid glass. When the fluid comes into contact with hot gases it turns to solid glass.
Guten Abend können Sie bitte sagen dass man nach dem Behandlung den Kühler Wasser wechseln um weitere Beschädigungen zu vermeiden vielen Dank und ein schön Abend noch
I realize that this is an older video, but I thought I would try and ask this question- my vehicle doesn't have a radiator cap. So, can I put the Blue Devil Head Gasket Sealer into the radiator reservoir? Thank you in advance for your help.
Do i need to drain the radiator after the whole process before refilling with coolant and also what quantity of the bluedevil can i use for my 2009 honda accord 2.0l engine
I have a 06 tundra v8 and it blew the radiator I changed it and it’s spitting a lot of coolant out of the exhaust do u think this would work and are there and negative things that can happen with this product??
What if you have a brown sludge forming in your radiator? Can you use the red devil for that?I assume the brown sludge is oil from a crack in the block or a bad head gasket? I even just did a radiator flush and put all new collant, but the brown sludge keeps building up, and my oil level on my dip stick is slowly going down.
I used it on my ford mustang about three years ago and it worked great. Unfortunately the gasket blew again. Do you know or can you recommend using Blue Devil a second time on the same car treated once before?
Another question: I have 2009 Subaru Forrester that has an oil leak. Although technically I don't have a blown head gasket, my mechanic tells me that sooner than later, I will need a new head gasket. Will Blue Devil Pour-N-Go stop the oil leak and make the current head gasket last longer before I have to replace it? Another words, would I be wasting my time using this to stop an oil leak and delay the inevitable?
We’re currently trying this on my ‘04 Impreza and while idling my car started overheating so we had to shut it off. Did we mess it up?? Couldn’t really just let it idle overheated
Hey so if you have the thermostat out while it is idling, how does the liquid get into the engine to seal the gasket? Wouldn’t it leak out if the thermostat housing…?
No, because you are reconnecting the hose where the thermostat is normally in-line. If you don’t want to remove the thermostat, you can use their “pour n go” version.

If you read all reviews, some people claim it clogged their system and caused damage. My dealing with this product has always been success, and never clogged anything. Products with particles, like Bars have clogged things for me but not Blue Devil. I would recommend trying it. If you follow the directions as listed on the bottle it may work
I have a subaru 2.2 with a compression leak on the head gaskets I believe. There's white smoke, it overheats, the heater doesn't blow hot, and I have to release what seem to be a bubble or pocket I can't chase out. Could this product help
This product will help with the head gasket leak, but you’ll need to remove any air from the system. Here’s a video I did showing how to do that. ruclips.net/video/pUGG5ez-2rA/видео.html
@@PhillipsVision Sometimes with a head gasket leak, you can not remove the air. The air bubbles are being pushed into the system, by combustion gases squeezing through the compromised head gasket. I tried for days to burp/ bleed the air from my system. It would run perfect for 15 to 20 mins, then start puking coolant and overheating.
I purchased this BlueDevil 00209 Pour-N-Go Head Gasket Sealer, 473-mL and it did not work for me on my Dodge Grand Caravan 2007 with 207K Km on it - after about one week, the issue persists. Then I purchased the Rislone Head Seal Blown Head Gasket Repair, 1-L, and used only 600 grams, which worked for me - after 3 days it stopped leaking.
I have brown/milky sludge on my oilcap and also when i take off the whole engine cover or what it is called i can find a bit of milky sludge . Do i have a blown headgasket? The oil on the dipstick is fine.
Could be a blown head gasket. The milky color is usually caused by coolant mixing with the oil. Is your vehicle overheating and blowing white vapor from the exhaust?
@@PhillipsVision i have other issues fault code p1191 won't rev abowe 2800rpm. Possibly high pressure fuel pump broken. It's a Opel Vectra 2.2 petrol 2008. And i have a little blowby i think .
Did you burp the system after doing the work? If not, you probably have air in it. Here is a link to a video I did on removing air from the coolant system... ruclips.net/video/pUGG5ez-2rA/видео.html
You’ll need to flush it first and make sure it’s clean and free flowing. Fill it with water, but leave enough capacity to add the Blue Devil Sealer. After the process is done you’ll need to drain the water and refill with antifreeze.
@Tee Mack you can use the pour n go in the system with coolant already in there. But I would use it to drive around though. I have used it befor in my system as stated you can. But no I would drain it out completely after you run it for an hour. And wash it out of your system with water and then throw in some coolant and top it off and burp the system hoses for air. Maybe throw in a new thermostat if you ran the pour n go in your system already. That blue devil leaves white residue on your thermostat and other parts. Hope that helps
Hi is it any good for a blow back my oil is being pushed back into my coolant bottle my dipstick is clean no wather leaking in the oil there and when I take off the oil cap there is no slush on it like whiteslush
i have replaced radiator , radiator cap , thermostat, upper and lower hoses , coolant reservoir , reservoir hose and water pump and my car will drive good but on long runs when i’m done the reservoir will be almost filled up and it overheats at idle and goes back to normal at 45mph+ , not sure if it’s head gasket because i have no other symptoms showing that
@@PhillipsVision no , there’s no smoke coming out the exhaust , oil looks good , honestly not 100% sure if i’ve ever opened up the reservoir after a drive and heard gurgling but i think it doesn’t , only thing is the reservoir keeps filling up after a far drive and sometimes it’ll overheat at idle and go back to normal after speeding up
You need to add this directly into your coolant system by removing the upper radiator hose and pouring directly into the line where the thermostat was removed.
Good question. Yes, you need to put the thermostat back in after you run Blue Devil, then top off your coolant and bleed air out. If you leave your thermostat out your car will run colder than required. Each vehicle has an optimum running temp and the thermostat regulates that.
If you're in a hot climate like here in Arizona and leave a thermostat out then the water flows too quickly through the radiator to actually cool off before going back to the engine. The thermostat acts kind of like a restrictor to slow down the flow of coolant so it can stay in the radiator long enough to get completely cooled before going back in the engine.
I am going to try this on my derby car. Engine was pushing oil and coolant into the air box. Believe it is a head gasket but is uncommon for those to go on the 3800 series III. Should I change the oil and oil filter before doing this process or after? I thought about just putting some oil in it to get it through the 50 minutes then doing a oil and filter change along with a coolant flush. Also I will not be driving this besides for racing, do you think this would hold up for that? Any opinions are appreciated, thank you
Not sure if it will hold up, depends how bad it is and how hard you push it. I would do this treatment as outlined on the container, then change the oil and filter.
@@PhillipsVisionI already used the complete 16 mixture and after days it continues to consume a little coolant. Would it be good to put another one on it?
But Removing the Thermostat is not easy. Like in Ford Mondeo, thermostat is built into the coolent pipe housing & very difficult to access and lots of nuts bolts and sealer to take off. Can I put it without removing the Thermostat?
So I have a 2015 chevy cruze 1.4lt It doesn't have a radiators cap, only the reservoir. So where would I pour the blue devil adhesive? I believe the instuctions says not to put it in the reservoir.

I just had a coolant flush, new thermostat, and water pump, did you use the product with the coolant or water?
I just purchased the big bottle and it says remove t-stat and remove coolant, and add water. Can't understand why I can't use the Blue Devil with fresh clean coolant...
Thx
@@splash5974
I think it depends if you got the regular or the professional grade.

I got confidence you'll be successful.

@@PhillipsVision your welcome.
It worked for 6 months on my 96 Isuzu Rodeo. I’m trying it out on my 2005 Toyota Camry, I’ll come back and let you know how it worked.
Did it work? I have the same car.
Thanks for the input
"removing after 50 minutes", you are not supposed to remove it after 50 minutes, just enough to add antifreeze and put your thermostat back in
Did you take the tstat out ?
@@PhillipsVision Can some one tell me if you have to wait to the next morning to drive it and try it out? or can you drive it after the 50 minutes are up?
Most likely used the pour and go blue devil that dosnt require you to flush before
Man I liked your video hope it solves my head gasket problem keeps me from spending $1800 Thanks fir all the great information.
Good luck👍
So did it work? Any updates?
@@GhostHavocc2 yes. It’s been over 2,000 miles and still running great
@@PhillipsVision that's good to hear. My mechanic fixed my HG leak by using fiberlock. He said it just temporary. But i hope i can get a few years out of it.
@@GhostHavocc2 I know Blue Devil claims it’s permanent. I’ve used it a couple times, all with perfect results
ive used Blue Devil - w all coolant flushed- years ago.........good results.
Definitely going to be needing that stuff with with that neon
@@theluckyman74 Bro....same thing just happened to me....Im screwed!!!
I was camping and only had antifreeze gallon and a blue devil bottle I didn't flush because didn't want to polute the environment so I did this with cold engine and coolant and drove all the way home stuff still in there, I'm just saying it works with coolant as well
How long did you run the car after that? Was it a success?
This works if u have very little milky oil use as directed it WORKS
They apparently sell a version that does not require you to remove thermostat and does not require there only to be water and not radiator fluid. In my case the instructions merely say to make sure there is room in the radiator to pour in the 16 oz bottle. There may be radiator fluid in the radiator. And you don't have to drain it afterwards. Thermostat stays in.
Correct, that’s the “Pour N Go” version
Shops are self preservation meaning they do what it takes to for you have the car fix by them for profit. Unless, the shop is honest and will recommend try additive first and see if that helps. Another way to check if no tail pipe smoke, etc is to use an endoscope and check which piston is like steam cleaned that would the cylinder that is blown other than coolant mix with Eng oil, bubbles to reservoir when hot etc
It's a bandaid but it can last 1 day or a couple years you never know! It is lab tested so it isn't snake oil but it's just a bandaid
Nope it’s permanent, everyone I know who’ve used it say it lasted until they sold or got rid of the cars
But some badaids lasted 6 years.
If your vehicle is worth less than a head job, why not?
Excelente video....una pregunta?....una vez se concluye el proceso...se necesita quitar el blue devil o puedo dejarlo en el sistema??
Leave it in the system, and top off your coolant

All ways you need to follow the instructions in order to work ❤
Hey, have a question after you run it for the 50 mins do u drain it back out or do u just add more antifreeze?
@@bravosava this actually helped thanks a lot !!
A huge one he missed here is signs of oil in the coolant. The same chocoloate milkshake effect as you see on the dipstick can be seen on the coolant cap sometimes
@@bravosava hmm, good to know. Thx bud
Thank you for your review. I want to use in my Ford Windstar 2000 3.8. It doesn't have a radiador cap, should i pour it in the reservoir?
No, remove the upper radiator hose and pour it in through there
What is your opinion of AT-205 Re-Seal?
Would that be the same procedure if you have a timing chain cover leak?

Just drain any overage. You want to keep the Blue Devil fluid in the system.

I have a 2016 Kia rio change head gasket and same problem car overheating when air conditioning on don't know what to do
I used this product before watching this video.
You can try this, but I would definitely fix the cylinder issue and possibly the head gasket.
@@PhillipsVision I’m debating or not on selling it or trying to fix the issue and spending $5000 on a new motor or rebuild
Blue devil head gasket sealer doesn’t cause the gaskets to swell like it does with the blue devil oil sealer. The head gasket sealer is liquid glass. When the fluid comes into contact with hot gases it turns to solid glass.
If I canceled out (bypassed) the heater core, do i still have to turn on the heater while pouring bd? Thank you very much for the video.
I wouldn’t think so.

You want it out so it can flow through freely. If you leave it in you are at the mercies of the thermostats opening and closing at certain temps

Good question. Yes, you need to put the thermostat back in after you run Blue Devil, then top off your coolant and bleed air out. If you leave your thermostat out your car will run colder than required. Each vehicle has an optimum running temp and the thermostat regulates that.
@@PhillipsVision thank you
If you're in a hot climate like here in Arizona and leave a thermostat out then the water flows too quickly through the radiator to actually cool off before going back to the engine. The thermostat acts kind of like a restrictor to slow down the flow of coolant so it can stay in the radiator long enough to get completely cooled before going back in the engine.

@@miguelmanrique932 check with the manufacturer. Your issue may require a mechanic to replace the head gasket
how much of the bottle should i used on a 2014 chevy cruze 1.4 liter turbo
You’ll need to check the directions on the container, but I believe half is what you need
But Removing the Thermostat is not easy. Like in Ford Mondeo, thermostat is built into the coolent pipe housing & very difficult to access and lots of nuts bolts and sealer to take off.
Can I put it without removing the Thermostat?
You have to follow the directions as called out if you want it to work properly
I only have a reservoir tank, no a radiator cap and also i have an electronic thermostate , can you advise
You may want to reach out to Blue Devil support. For this to properly work it must flow directly into the system.
So I have a 2015 chevy cruze 1.4lt
It doesn't have a radiators cap, only the reservoir. So where would I pour the blue devil adhesive? I believe the instuctions says not to put it in the reservoir.
You will need to remove the upper hose from the radiator and pour it in there. Once poured, reattach hose and follow instructions
So my upper hose goes to the water outlet on my chevy cruze. If I disconnect and pour water in that hose it comes out of the water outlet. I'm kind of list there. Any suggestions?
@@juliohinojos8664 trace which hose goes directly into the top radiator inlet.
I have a infinity g35 3.5 v6 should I use the whole bottle of half I don’t know how to check on how much to use I am not understanding the table part ?
I would use half
@@PhillipsVision 👍🏽
@@PhillipsVision one more question brother I am not able to remove the thermostat from housing it’s made like that should I buy the pour and go version?
@@bluedevilg3542 that’s odd because a thermostat is a replaceable part. I’ve never used the pour and go version, but if that version does not require the thermostat to be removed it should work. Good luck
@@PhillipsVision I mean I can replace the thermostat but mine comes with the whole assembly together. Like the thermostat is attached to the housing which won’t allow me to just remove the thermostat from the housing if that makes sense. Anyways that’s for your comment keep up the great content 👍🏽
How is "Hyper seal- Seal as steel" sealer? Can you tell me how to use that sealer?
Is "Blue Devil" better than "Hyper seal"
I’ve never used Hyper Seal
