I’m waiting for my first RC in the mail now it should be here Thursday. It’s the wltoys 124018. But I also ordered my daughter the arrma granite 2wd for her 8th birthday it should be here Friday. Tomorrow I’m calling our local hobby shop to see if they have this one for around the same price as online and if not I’m going to order it for my other first car. I think it’ll be better to bash around with the kid and her rc
Hello! They sell a 1/10 body clip kit for Arrma. I put those on the 3 Arrma that have a really hard time getting clips on and off. They use 1/8 clips. Hard to get on and off. Great video, thumbs up!

Great video dude! I own one myself and something I noticed is that the esc and motor heats up which is why when you used the lipo, it lost a lot of power after 15 minutes. I suggest buying a cooling fan for both of them so that won’t it happen again and so you can get a full run with it!!
You are right, I figured it out a few days after uploading the video, once the esc overheats the truck slows down to prevent any damage, if you let it cool down it runs at its normal speed, i am planning on adapting a cooling fan.
Was there a lipo battery used in this video?
How do u add a fan?? I have this for my son and myself and we have a cpl batts but it takes a long time to cool off when we run thru 1 battery. Any info or wld be great, thnks!

Brushless is way better but the brushed version is a good option for people that is starting the RC hobby, mainly because it is cheaper, if you really get into the RC hobby world, then the brushless version is a better option.

I like my granite, I swapped the brushed for a brushless setup and it flies. I will say this, people are swapping the arms for the longer typhon arms, I am actually going to swap the arms back to the original’s, as the long arms limit suspension travel.

Wl toys 124016 v2 is the best budget starter rc IMO but i like the Arrma Granite too

I wonder how those tires would work on my ‘94 Stampede. Haha. It seems like most of my buddy’s Arrma stuff tend to get small pebbles jammed in the internals somehow.

I will say when my senton came which was a brushed version it was very hard to get the clips of also and I still struggle
I still have the same problem, and I use it very often
The first rule I learned is to never go brushed. Always go brushless it’s so worth the extra $50 to $100.
Depends on your performance needs. Not everyone needs a super fast RC. 30 mph for the brushed model is very respectable.
@@erikturner5073they also have way more problems. You can have a brushless motor that goes 30 MPH.
@@ajgreen868 I just bought a mint brushed 4x4 Granite for $130. Plus the brushed models are cheap now. Cost almost nothing to upgrade the RC.

I just got one today from the FB market place used but in great condition and has the brushless spektrum smart sense combo already installed. Just waiting for my adapters so I can run my deans plugs. Lol

i have a race battery so it charges quicker and lasts about 2-3 hours
I've hand my granite for a while and it's really good with flipping and jumping high into the air. Its also very durable I only broke the body and the stock servo got destroyed in slushy snow. I already have had itit for a couple of monts

Hello guys I have that so when I took my battery out of the truck I plug it in to the wall charger it blink 3 or 4 time time between red and green im stomp any help would be appreciated
Are you using the charger that came with your truck or a third party charger?
No need to upgrade the charger if you have more batteries. Always have one on hand
The charger the car comes with takes 7 hours to charge! I think the upgraded charger is a must-have. Mine came with an upgraded charger and it's great!
I agree with Justin the upgraded charger is a must-have, the included charger takes forever to charge the battery

Brush model don't put a 5000 battery in it that models are not supposed to run that long will burn out the motor😁fyi

Hi Louis, A guy up above suggested "Buy a 5000 2 cell Lipo and charger get you a solid 30 minutes" but I would guess your suggestion that is would burn out would be applicable whether using a 5000 Lipo or 5000 NiMH, right?
5000 for brushless only can burn out NMHB BRUSHED

I bought one today and why does it die so fast
These RC trucks require a lot of power plus if you are using it at 100% speed most of the time the battery discharges fast that is considered “normal”, did you buy any additional batteries?
Yes so I a 3300 that came with it and I have a 5000
What the run time that you get combining both batteries?
Oh so I didn’t combine them together I’m kinda new to rc I just put in the 5000 alone and got a maybe lik 10 minute run time the 3300 though I got a little longer like 15-20 I have another one with a 1800 and it had a longer run time I had it at 75 percent but I was off road

I got one for my grandson and have had nothing but problems with it every time we turn it on some kinda issue it goes backwards when hit forward and when we do get it to work right battery only lasts 10 minutes and now steering don't hardly turn and still short battery life I'll never buy another of this brand I feel like I've been ripped off

You dont need to break in electric motors. It's not a nitro brother.
Well that's what the guy at the store told me, I don't know if it was that but this struck is still running strong, I've had zero problems with the motor.
