I just converted one of my Traxxas T-Maxx 3.3 nitros to electric and this rc is SICK!!!! IT has beat my expectations by one million percent. Never would I've imagined the speed and power that this thing has. I'm so excited and ready to brag on how this new rc chic might have finally found the perfect hobby to have at midlife.
Great list. But for entry level we find the Traxxas 2wd better than Gorgon or Granite boost. Easier to maintain, much cheaper parts, more durable and generally much more reliable.
I’m lucky because I don’t have to order parts on line, my local hobby shop loves traxxas, he carries every brand though, but saying is he has a lot of parts in stock for traxxas more so than the other models.
I didn't realize this until I watched your videos but the Gorgon is so much better performing and handling than its appearance suggests. Hard to believe it's a 2wd monster truck handling jumps like that
Just received the Kagama and looking forward to using it. Other RUclipsrs said they prefer it to the Kraton 6s as it is a bit faster and has better handling and of course slightly cheaper.
I’d also recommend the Losi super Baja Rey 2.0 at the large scale it’s unreasonably bashable for the type of truck it is and it goes on sale often it’s also one of the best looking Rc’s and one of the most fun to drive because of its size and the type of truck it is.
Here in Paraguay there are not many options Many very old and outdated models and very high prices, I started with Wltoys 1/14 and 1/12 scales and I ended up buying 2 1/10 scale (lie scales) with brushless motors, now I am seeing that they brought ARRMA and I am thinking of buying a Granite 4x4 (1/10) o un Typhon 4x4 (1/8). The latter are almost at the same price, which one will be better?
Most eight scale rc are beginner based. They run off 4 cell batteries. Just line up the plugs, no soldering. Some are more complicated like the xray xb8 and most 10th scale competition buggies are a bit more involved

I was patiently waiting for it, I’m so glad to see that my first RC made it to this list and I have to thank you for all the good tutorials you have posted on your channel on tips, maintenance and others on the ARRMA Granite, I’m still in love with the Associated MT 10 but considering im not in USA and my hobby shop is Amazon I went for the granite (also because it shares parts on the vortex and senton I felt like it’ll be easier to get parts in case I need) anyway again huge thanks for all the help you’ve given me through the tutorials, blesings!!!

One good cheap and fun car is a the hbx 16980sa . I think it was $120 , It’s the latest of that platform with a 3s 2840 3800kv but I think the mjx versions are even more , like the mjx h14bm might be overpowered to bash in high speed ( press button 5 times thing ) but regular looked quick .
How can Gorgon be better than a HyperGo 142120 for example, they are in the same price point? It comes with 3S brushless motor, out of the box better on so many levels?
Wish I saw this when I was looking to get my son a RC. I got him a traxxas stampede vxl which is a fat pig that overheats. Should have for a granite. I ended up also getting the new kraton 4s and it is awsome. Runs great even on 3s
