Great job. I'm looking to replace one normal size window in our master bedroom with an exterior door. I have an outlet below that window as well and am doing almost the same exact thing as you guys but not sure what to do about my outlet. Would it be possible if I could virtually meet with you guys and discuss more about how to take on this project?
Because if you own a construction company, you would know that time is everything and making 2 trips for a door install looses you money. We have one day to show up and install the door as the schedule is so tight
try out roofing ice guard under the door jam to level out. Layer different sized strips to build up a "ramp". Thanks for the video i'm going to do something similar to my house.
@@everythingresidential What ended up happening? Did you end up coming to replace the entire door and frame from the manufactures fault? I would've simply replaced the door from the hinges. And for cost, I'd say $1800 is more reasonable for time
Thank you very much sharing your "How to convert window to french doors" RUclips !!!❤❤❤
Thank you so much very informative with actual details; Best you tube French door explainer video I’ve seen so far! 💯
Looks amazing. Im wondering what does something like that cost?
Great work! We are transforming a window into a door this summer.. ❤️
Exactly what I needed to see
Best job guys
Very cool project. Nice work 👊🏼
What's the dimensions of that original window?
Can we reuse the tall french windows as doors, and add something to the top?

Why didn't you just go the extra mile and put floor leveling cement down then no shims. Just saying

Oh god, I just got to the part where he used 1/2'' of shims LOL. That is horrible.

Why not put beading board along the crack instead that foam
Nice work. What size was the door?
It’s been awhile but I want to say 72x80
I can't believe you guys didn't use a Zip wall....
How much would a project like this cost ?
800 labor plus door
@@everythingresidential That's way too cheap.
@@audiesbuilds you are correct, that was 2 years ago

HI, I wondered why no flashing? we live in Oregon, would you recommend we use flashing?
The door is in a covered area and not exposed to rain. I’m not a carpenter it’s just my thought.
Pan flashing and vulkem.. contractor in Oregon here.
Would you need a permit for that ?
If there is an existing beam or header above then no you don’t
Nice
Thanks
Nice!
No flashing because it's a covered patio?
Covered patio, we also live in a desert, and if it’s a new build we could have a better opp. to flash
