What should be taught in geometry class!
Nice
As an electrician...brilliant idea to save the knees and back 😅😅
😅 This guy is a hack. Should have used a shorter auger bit. All those holes are at a angle. Sloppy work.
When he's the biggest dumbass on the job and you don't want him touching the power and you need him to sweep and this is what you catch him doing
Must be a romex house
If you had a new house built. I promise your electrician did no better than this
I honestly dont see the problem.. id use a shorter bit so i can drill straight holes but no structural issue here. That stud didnt split. Id splintered a tiny bit on the face.
If you're thinking of moving to arizona, don't. The majority of the new build or a couple year's old. Are just falling apart it's pretty sad
How expensive would you say this would cost in 2025? Looking to buy a house but would want to add a bathroom onto it..
very difficult question to answer without more info! wouldn't mind talking to you on the phone. message me on our instagram page. Everything Residential
It's a shame they couldn't show the ending. The dull drill caught the 2x4's on fire and the place burn't down.
That auger bit is dull as fuck
A regular drill and skateboard would work better, plus you don't split a support down the middle.
The time spent to do all this i couldve saved the customer a million dollars by hiring mexicans who dont waste a singular movement and construct my house in 3 days so they can stay in the hotel room i rented out for them and their 3 cousins
strong but dull
Drilling on the angle like that will cause issues with pulling wires
Cool tool! Maybe the dude has bad knees and/or back?
Whatever time he saves by using that monstrosity will be spent tenfold when he tries to run a cable through that series of angled holes. He will end up pulling the entire cable through every separate hole before proceeding to the next one. This is absolutely messing around!😅
Why did you even post this? Jeez....
Y'all see the first step in a process and assume that's how it is when he's done? You don't think there's cleanup of the holes that are drilled? Never seen blowout before? Armchair inspectors jfc.
Your electrician does an absolute shit job
Yall, he's not splitting the beams. Its called tear out. Its a pretty normal result from drilling. The amount he's getting is excessive due to his high tool pressure, but breakage is less than 1/8" deep.
Residential hack, scaring the romex pulling it thru the angled holes. What a clown.
Idiot
In 20 years houses will start falling apart and catching on fire because actual craftsmanship was replaced with this idiotic brainrot bull crap
And they wonder why building quality has plummeted.
Worked for a company in Oklahoma that had the boss drill the whole house and all the apprentices ran wire behind him lmao finished rough-outs In half the day was not fun at all lmao electrical in Texas was way more chill 😂
This is why I do things myself now.
Where do all these know-it-all, do-nothings in the comments come from? They have clearly never been too far from momma's womb.
Yeah, I’ll keep my hole hawgs
That is a lazy mother trucker right there. lol
Modern cordless drills are more then adequate for this application. Also, using a more compact tool would enable you to drill perpendicular to the plane of the board.
Completely unnecessary
SOooo, he gonna replace all the support beams he split?
why not just use a right angle drill? Its the one thing they're marketed for is drilling between studs.
None of the holes are straight None of the holes are properly spaced away from the edges of the stud
The slower method of demolition
American houses are built like European garden sheds LOL 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
i didnt realize electricians did demo work
I always thought you needed to drill at a right angle.
What's the long skinny black rope on the drill for??
Pretty sure this was done as a joke. Dudes are smiling and laughing the whole time.
Good luck trying to pull the wire through more than 2-3 wall studs at a time.
Moron
to much pressure let the drill bit do the work! Also you might find a holesaw works better at not splitting the backside apart
Imagine trying to fish wire through that 😮 it's barely a hole it's like chewed
Disgusting work ethic.
you gotta be shitting me
This reminds me of the HVAC guy who put our furnace and duct work in. Cut the air register holes in the floor with a chainsaw and knocked out the remainder with a sledgehammer. Lazy ass hack work that justifies it with "you're never going to see it".
so many drilling experts here
yeah, need to be a real expert see the obvious
