Technically, the weather machine wasn’t designed to bring about the storm. The villain created it to stop the waves (to make the surfers go away) and to increase the humidity (to cause the biker’s bikes to rust, forcing them away).
Teen Beach Movie is definitely one of the best Disney channel movies. So many of my friends who were born in the 2000s and literally haven’t even watched this movie in years quote it every once in a while, especially Teen Beach Movie 2. What a childhood classic Also, yes the doctor lighthouse guy played the butler named Burtrem(idk how to spell) on Jessie
The ending is explained: This universe has a certain magic of everyone singing, because they just came out of a dimnensions where music happens spontaneously, they brought some of that essence back with them and makes everyone a unimind and "forces" them to sing and dance, teen beach 2 will show you that
So I will say, in defense of some of Mack's singing... The actress is actually Australian. So she is using an American accent and also singing in an American accent very intentionally, which makes some of her vowels not the best and also makes her talk a bit more breathy. I think its affecting her singing, too.
Did you recognize Jordan Fisher in this? He plays Seacat. In the second movie he has some more singing parts and he sounds so good! I will always be a Jordan Fisher stan and so should everyone else
My mind was actually blown when my choir teacher in high school said she knew Garrett Clayton (who plays Tanner in Teen Beach Movie). They went to college together and had some classes together. He randomly stopped showing up to the classes and all of their classmates wondered what happened to him. Lots of time had passed and then there was an ad for Teen Beach Movie and they saw him in it. They were so shocked, but it perfectly explained why he hadn’t shown up to classes in a while lol
i have a similar story with one of the other actors (in the sense of me being shocked to find someone I know knows them). One of my mom’s best friends, who I call my “tia” (aunt in spanish) is sorority sisters with Chrissie Fit (Cheechee) and we were both at that friend’s wedding. Chrissie sang at the wedding and I, who was four at time, was the flower girl. So of course naturally I can never find ANY of the pictures of us at the same exact event lol

Still the most fun I’ve ever had with a Disney channel movie! It’s just so much fun to sing and dance along to! And it still slaps regardless of age! They were blasting it at our college beach retreat earlier this month and man, it was just the best. One guy even did a lip sync dance along at the talent show we had one afternoon. It was great!

Hannah, never stop these. They give me so much serotonin! I feel like I'm sitting down with my bestie. I laugh, I cry, I learn about singing... you are a gem, and the bouffant would look amazing on you!
I REALLY LOVE Teen Beach Movie. The whole weather machine plot is one of the reasons Mac hates the movie, because it's absurd lol but the fact that the characters know the plot is absurd just makes it more fun to watch. You should definitely watch Teen Beach Movie 2, the songs are very good too, greetings from Venezuela
Teen Beach Movie is a spoof of the old 'Beach' movies & they always had some super silly thing going on! Like one of them had an actual mermaid. It's absurd expecting normal logic from a beach movie!
I feel like Hannah would definitely prefer the second Teen Beach Movie more than the first. But that's because the whole weather machine subplot is no longer referenced in the 2nd. And it has everything from the 1st movie that she liked anyway just in a more longer and bigger scale.
"Okay. Ross Lynch is 👌🏽 very good. He's very talented." Yes. Yes he is. Glad you enjoyed this movie, I hope you're gonna react to the 2nd one too, Gotta be me is a BOP😁
I’ve only seen the Teen Beach movies a few times, but I’ve watched Austin & Ally (the Disney show Ross was a lead on) dozens of times. In that show, Ross’s chemistry with the other lead(s), both romantic and friendship, is heads & shoulders above these films. I never rooted for Mack/Brady the way I did for Austin/Ally or even Troy/Gabriella.
@@meredith8625 I watched it for the first time as an adult and became obsessed with it. I just missed austin and ally by a few years because I was apart of the hannah, suite life era
I agree, I never really liked the idea of Mack and Brady together, I don’t know why. In my opinion, Brady definitely liked Mack. He showed lots of affection towards her. But to me, I felt like Mack barely felt the same way. The only way I can explain how I felt about them 2 is; I just feel like they didn’t have as good of a connection as Austin and Ally or Troy and Gabriella for example.
this video really makes it so clear to see how people who never lived by the shore think it bc sometimes houses by the shore are regular priced. btw i’ve lived near the atlantic ocean and in a tropical weather since before i was born and i don’t go in *any kind* of water where i can’t see my feet.
I'm so glad she just told the internet she couldn't swim as an adult because ME TOO!!! I did take an adult swim class at the YMCA recently that helped me get more used to my face in the water.
I watched this movie for two of the dancers lol. The girl in the pink fringe bikini and and the guy in the green swim shorts with white flowers. Both of them were my favs on different seasons of So You Think You Can Dance!
I just wanted to say that there's a theory about the last scene, that says that maybe Mack and Brady's story is actually another movie called Surfs up, and for some reason the main characters were transported to the other movie, Wet side story, that explains the last scene, but of course it has its holes like wet side story would be a movie inside another movie, and doesn't explain the second movie but is interesting to know anyways.
The songs in Teen Beach Movie 2 are really great and I sort of REALLY want to see a comparison of "Falling For Ya" sung by Grace Phipps (Lela) in the first movie and the duet (sorta?) of the same song between Jordan Fisher's and Chrissie Fit's characters in the second. The tempo is different and it shows off their voices really well. And their stage antics as they fight for the mic is fun to watch. [Did anyone else know that Chrissie (CheeChee, with the big *ss hair) was in Pitch Perfect 2 & 3? Literally just found out while searching Wikipedia] RANDOM RANT: While I think Teen Beach Movie 2 does rehash parts of the first/plot structure similarities, I DO believe it is different enough to warrant a watch/react. Having more time with the characters only does them better. Both Brady and Tanner get more development separately and together and ITS GREAT. Lela's storyline gels naturally with what she was questioning in the first movie. And the supporting cast get their own moments together that, while not too deep, are very enjoyable. - SPOILER territory - A lot of people sort of don't like the way Mack acts in 2; they see it as her reneging on the things she said at the end of the first movie for the sake of drama that the writer's couldn't otherwise create. But I think it's sort of realistic. She promised to chill out a bit and have more fun going forward but she also said all that at the end of a very eventful few days and postive emotions were running high. I can see it being harder to hold to her new conviction and commitment to Brady during the school year when that high from the first movie has since dwindled. Change is not immediate and being able to commit to it is harder than expected. Plus, I think it's interesting to see Brady and Mack in the newish environment. These two have only been together a few months (I think they actually specify in the opening scene of 2 that they only first met at the start of summer). They have spent their whole relationship in that bubble and having tension when their environment changes seems only natural [Actually, if I remember correctly Brady was worried about that exact problem] Although I will say the ending of the movie is sort of weird and unsatisfying. The final number absolutely SLAPS, don't get me wrong but it puts Brady and Mack's relationship back to square one when we spent two movies seeing them together and work through their issues. Idek. If anyone has any thoughts on the ending that can provide perspective, I'd like to hear them (Also thanks to anyone who reads this ginormous comment I didn't mean to write 😅) ((Also also I haven't seen these movies in years so sorry if I got plot points wrong))
I agree. The ending wasn’t satisfying at all, and them switching roles just didn’t feel natural in my opinion. I actually didn’t like the last number, I didn’t really understand it. I also didn’t like how the way Mack and Brady say I’m sorry not at all by just saying sorry but saying well I just gotta be me I just ughhhhhh it does not sit well with me. If you’re sorry, fess up! Idk there’s just a lot I don’t like about the second movie. But I love Brady so that’s why I watched it. I certainly would love to see a reaction video because it is even more whacked up than the first and very fun and weird lol. Also, I love using it as an analysis of 2010’s fashion, especially with Mack’s clothes.
@@izzymcfrizzyton4358 I just rewatched some of the numbers from the first and second movie after watching this video, and I've changed my opinion on the last number from 2- I don't get it either 😂 (except the first part of the second verse, where Brady's in the car. But I think that's just because I adore Ross's vocals}

YES! DEFINITELY YES! You need to watch Teen Beach 2, I still love the songs so much, I used to do the choreos, I remember learning them in my room, I just love it so much!
Yes finally! I have a special relationship with this movie, I fully recognize how cringe and boring some parts are but the songs and 60's aesthetic saves it. I love this movie so much and the songs are so golden.
I was raised with HSM and Camp Rock but TBM is my favourite by far! The songs are so good In my opinion and the characters way more interesting. Love all of them so much
The Teen Beach Movies are so underrated. The music and the dancing are literally top notch, ESPECIALLY Teen Beach 2!!! PLEASE WATCH IT NOW!!! I absolutely love the finale of TBM2!!! (I totally get the confusion of the first plot, but the way they do the second one makes more sense.)
@@journee921 agreed, teen beach 2 is not it- basically Lela and tanner go back to their world but what doesn’t make sense is after riding off on the surf board (yes we are aware of the line that says if this doesn’t work they might not know each other) Brady and mack forget each other even though it worked. Somehow also the movie has changed like wet side story never existed, also seen in the beginning with the new song unless that was a part of the movie not shown in movie 1. But now it is Lela queen of the beach, like wet side story never existed. And since Brady and Mack forgot each other, they do not remember movie one, and somehow had a character swap, being Mack loves Lela queen of the beach and Brady doesn’t like it.. just the opposite of movie 1 with Brady loving wet side story and Mack not liking it. Also did the real life characters forget about the people from the movie that came into their world? There’s honestly a lot wrong with TB2

and the other antagonist played in the first Wizards of Waverly Place movie
He also played The Wizard in Wicked on Broadway
I need more Ross Lynch content from you! He's so talented and his music is so good (First in R5 and now in The Driver Era). One of my favorite celebrities
He's very talented."
Yes. Yes he is.
Glad you enjoyed this movie, I hope you're gonna react to the 2nd one too, Gotta be me is a BOP😁
He wrote Gotta Be Me himself with his brothers!
@@kristinanilsen2759 and Starting over? Or it was originally an R5 song they just put it at the end?
@@tanczosfanni Yeah that’s an R5 song so it’s theirs with a collab of another songwriter.
Yes! I always was team Austin/Ally.
The way I remember screaming when Austin/Ally finally got together 😭
@@kristinalovelace2063 same, and I watched it for the first time as an adult 😂🙈 then I got my kids into it so I’d have an excuse to watch it lol
I did take an adult swim class at the YMCA recently that helped me get more used to my face in the water.
your impersonations are spot on 😭 the “it’s serious” accent and “check it out!”
i think we should get a petition for hannah to react to the pitch perfect movies cause it’s something that i need in my life x
thanks bye x
she just did !!
How did you miss, “Like Me?”
It is so fun and adorable, you could cover it as a one-off.
I watched this movie for two of the dancers lol. The girl in the pink fringe bikini and and the guy in the green swim shorts with white flowers. Both of them were my favs on different seasons of So You Think You Can Dance!
I watched this movie a tons of times when I was younger and I still am in love with that movie, I'm so happy you reacted to this Hannah ahhhh
The whole cast of this movie is so talenteeeed!! This is definitely one of my favorite Disney movies, it´s so good
I just wanted to say that there's a theory about the last scene, that says that maybe Mack and Brady's story is actually another movie called Surfs up, and for some reason the main characters were transported to the other movie, Wet side story, that explains the last scene, but of course it has its holes like wet side story would be a movie inside another movie, and doesn't explain the second movie but is interesting to know anyways.
Literally just found out while searching Wikipedia]
RANDOM RANT: While I think Teen Beach Movie 2 does rehash parts of the first/plot structure similarities, I DO believe it is different enough to warrant a watch/react. Having more time with the characters only does them better. Both Brady and Tanner get more development separately and together and ITS GREAT. Lela's storyline gels naturally with what she was questioning in the first movie. And the supporting cast get their own moments together that, while not too deep, are very enjoyable.
- SPOILER territory -
A lot of people sort of don't like the way Mack acts in 2; they see it as her reneging on the things she said at the end of the first movie for the sake of drama that the writer's couldn't otherwise create.
They have spent their whole relationship in that bubble and having tension when their environment changes seems only natural [Actually, if I remember correctly Brady was worried about that exact problem]
Although I will say the ending of the movie is sort of weird and unsatisfying. The final number absolutely SLAPS, don't get me wrong but it puts Brady and Mack's relationship back to square one when we spent two movies seeing them together and work through their issues.
Idek. If anyone has any thoughts on the ending that can provide perspective, I'd like to hear them (Also thanks to anyone who reads this ginormous comment I didn't mean to write 😅)
((Also also I haven't seen these movies in years so sorry if I got plot points wrong))
@@izzymcfrizzyton4358 I just rewatched some of the numbers from the first and second movie after watching this video, and I've changed my opinion on the last number from 2- I don't get it either 😂 (except the first part of the second verse, where Brady's in the car. But I think that's just because I adore Ross's vocals}
OMG OMG WHAT? She’s that Latino girl in pitch perfect right? I think her name was Florencia or something like that. I absolutely LOVE pitch perfect, all three movies, I can watch them over and over again without getting bored at all! The music is absolutely fire and I listen to the riff offs in the car with my cousins and we scream to them at the top of our lungs they are such a vibeee. Also there are AMAZING actors like Anna Kendrick and rebel Wilson in it and I love both of them and their movies so much!! Also thanks for the long comment it was interesting to read :)
Yeah agreed, the ending sucks in the 2nd movie. It undoes both movies completely which is stupid
Teen Beach Movie II does not exist. I thought we all agreed to this notion 😭
simple explanation for why the "real life" people burst into song at the end: they planned a flash dance mob and they just really love "Wet Side Story"
i love hannah’s laugh 😂 it makes me happy i don’t know why
I love hannah so much. She's the perfect example of having great humor while being super supportive and welcoming. She always gives things a chance, thanks for the great content :)
I feel like Mack’s singing/talking in the can’t stop singing number because she DOESN’T want to sing but is involuntarily doing it. I loved the video🫶🏻
I remember forcing my mom to watch this with me as a kid. She ended up loving it more than I did and still listens to the playlist years later!
I CAN'T BELIEVE SHE SKIPPED LIKE ME!!
YES! DEFINITELY YES! You need to watch Teen Beach 2, I still love the songs so much, I used to do the choreos, I remember learning them in my room, I just love it so much!
Imma be honest, one of my favorite Disney original movies ever. Might be nostalgia but I love the songs none the less!
Love all of them so much
3:16 my mom saying all my siblings name theeeeeeen mine
The guy that plays the villain with the white mustache is in Jessie, and he plays a butler, called burtrem
The Teen Beach Movies are so underrated. The music and the dancing are literally top notch, ESPECIALLY Teen Beach 2!!! PLEASE WATCH IT NOW!!! I absolutely love the finale of TBM2!!! (I totally get the confusion of the first plot, but the way they do the second one makes more sense.)
frr ? i do not understand the end of the 2nd one at all 😭
@@journee921 agreed, teen beach 2 is not it- basically Lela and tanner go back to their world but what doesn’t make sense is after riding off on the surf board (yes we are aware of the line that says if this doesn’t work they might not know each other) Brady and mack forget each other even though it worked.
I feel diabolical minimum twice a week 😂I honestly love this soundtrack so much- the songs are all bops!
This is honestly bringing back so many memories especially since my dance teacher played crusin for a brusin as one of our songs for extra sizes and I haven't watched this a move in a long time so its kinda cool to see another person watch it
How am I so late to realizing how funny and relatable Hannah is
Hannah still calling him Rusty even though that’s not his name. Lmao 🤣
Teen Beach Movie is TRULY one of the last great DCOMs of my childhood. I know the Cruisin For A Bruisin choreography, I lived for this movie
I remember watching this movie with my little sisters when it came out, I secretly loved all the musical numbers and completely forgot about the weather plot (maybe for the best)
You have no idea how excited I was when I saw that Hannah was watching Teen Beach Movie. One of the best Disney movies ever. ❤️😊😁
Bertrum is his name in another show, the show is a disney channel original called Jessie staring Debby Ryan, Peyton List, Cameron Boyce, Karan Brar, Skai Jackson, and Kevin Chamberlin. Great show!
4:30 “Mack, can you please not drown!?”
Why am I laughing so much? 😂😂😂
Hannah is literally so funny her sense of humor makes me laugh every time
You have GOT to do teen beach movie 2 the plot is so much better! Love this vid! Your so funny and your personality is stunning! Love you Hannah!
You should definitely react to Zombies 1 & 2 and the third when it comes out in July. Its decent choreography as well - some nice songs too :)
That would be so nice
Yess!! Zombies was definitely my favorite DCOM in such a long time.
Yes ! I'll admit I shook my head when I saw the first trailer thinking it was going to be awful. But it genuinely surprised me. There were many moments I could relate to as a teenager and I ended up loving a bunch of songs and the choreography was cool
@@celeste2025 idk why you did that it is an extremely unique franchise glad you came around to it tho
I agree!!
yes he does play a character named Bertram from the tv series jessie
This is got to be one of my favorite movies. I love the 50s vibe and the music is so good
ngl my choir friends and i go into the choir room every day for lunch and recess, out on crusin for a brusin on repeat and dance. yes we have memorized the exact choreography from the movie😂 i have been waiting for this reaction for so long!
This movie was my favorite for so long
You need to watch Teen Beach 2 next!!
YEEESSSS! One of the greatest Disney Musicals!
This movie was my childhood fav movie would watch 2twice a day when I was lil
14:11. Yes. Bertram was what he played in Jessie
Surprisingly a lot of reactions recently. Still hoping for more High School Musical: The Musical: The Series: The Hannah Reaction
OH MY GOD IM SO PUMPED FOR THISSSHSHSJSODNSJ U HAVE TO DO THE SECOND ONE
You know how to watch teen beach 2!!!! Ross lynch sing a song called on my own and it is an absolute bop, volume all the way up in the car screaming your heart out.
The opening song is called Oxygen! It was originally sang by Hoku Ho :) she has some amazing songs!! Her dad, Don Ho, is great too!
I LOVE YOU FOR REACTING TO THIS!! This decendants, hsm and teen beach are the literally the Disney channel movies I grew up watching, and it’s literally like a boost of nostalgia seeing you react to this and love it as much as I do
DEFINITELY WATCH TEEN BEACH TWO!! It completes the story and the songs are amazing... I love it
i LOVE TEEN BEACH MOVIE!! I ended up watching this movie totally by chance (i was 17 and far off from disney channel age) while i was walking by while my younger siblings were watching tv and got pulled almost immediately into the movie. The songs are so catchy and I love the campiness of it.
Please watch also the second one! The second one is sooooo gooooood!!💛
The guys who plays Tanner, the lead surfer dude, plays Link in Hairspray live if I’m not mistaken
Leila and Brady are my childhood crushes
The bisexual awakening was real
I remember when this movie came out and me and my sister were so excited and learnt all the choreography and songs
you have to watch the rest these movies had me in a chokehold
I think you should definitely watch the sequel to this! This was one of my favorite movies as a kid :) your hair looks freaking amazing btw !!
i remember being in grade school when this movie came out. it was non-stop sing alongs to cruising for a bruising in my classroom and it was entirely deserved. this whole soundtrack is as good as i remember
ok now you HAVE to watch the second one hannah.
