I really like EM's in that si blue, or blacked out. I know the bumper holes arent for everyone, but if I remember right, each hole is 5hp, so he'd be looking at 40hp right there lol. Great vid! On to new projects!

Lips and side skirts patch matched all black looked really nice and was the trade of a lifetime lol

Henry King I wish I was but its true. If you have more than 4 holes in total, you can set your hondata tune to tell the vtec solenoid to activate twice as hard.

Garage Built Hondas Yes dudes!! Thats a very rare Japenese Integra DC5 Type-R steering wheel(Acura RSX Type-S in America). I have one too. They are worth $300-500 on ebay.

Been into Hondas for years. In the late 90s a e.g. got me Into imports, shortly after that same blue em1 made me love Honda. Soooooo raw and fun to drive. Fast forward to now and I have some old school muscle and my mugen. If it wasn't for the em1 who knows what I'd be driving now.
Probably a lame random Elantra or whatever people pick these days. I'd probably be in the same boat if it wasn't for a ride in a friend's nitrous equipped 01 ITR.

I like it. I'd do a full paint correction, new OEM badges, probably raise it up, fit a new rear bumper, detail the engine bay, full service, detail interior. Those would be first on my list.

My 97 hatch is painted electron blue pearl, had cuts in the front bumper bought a new one from the dealer and then I asked how much to paint.... $600... still rockin the black front bumper lol

The trunk mat thing is off either an 8th or 9th gen civic, you can tell because each generation of Civic has it's own "Civic" logo, compare to the one on the underside of the spoiler which is the 6th gen Civic logo(and would match the trunk badge if it were there). The Logo underneath the spoiler is basically how you can tell it's oem and not aftermarket. The front lip is a "typeR style" ebay lip but the headlights at least from the video look like legit Type R lights. Nice/.

That EM1 was great shape except for the cut rear bumper and missing rear Civic script. This video makes me miss my 99’ Blue Si! One of my favorite Honda’s I ever owned! New owner blew it up after a month and car was parted out and crushed! 😭

They get so happy that they can rev it to 7-8k and just start being dumb. It's pretty darn funny.

i had a yonaka catback on my 97 civic and honestly for the price you pay for it it's a great sounding exhaust nice deep tone and not raspy at all at high rpm. I'm actually thinking about getting one for my crx also
It sounds so clean in person, I was surprised. And you know how much I like to hear different exhausts.
well the thing about what i wanna do is that yonaka doesn't make a exhaust for the crx so ill have to get the one for the ef and ill have to take ti to an exhaust shop so they can cut it to fit
That's not hard though. They'll probably only cut it at the middle. I used a crx exhaust and extended it to fit on my sedan.
yeah i saw a video on here where a guy put one on his crx with a b16 swap and he said that they exhaust shop took 6 inches off it to make it fit. the only thing that im worried about is thta its only 2.25" exhaust and i dont know if its gonna be big enough for my crx because i have a b20 and i plan on going turbo eventually
It'll be good for probably up to 200hp, but you'll want it larger and you'll make even more power easily.
Hi, love the EM1 change. I own a all original Black 99 Civic Si with the original B16A2 in it. I've done a few mods. Funny enough I put a full Yonaka exhaust on my car and rebuilt the entire motor with forged internals. After doin my build I've been having problems with my timing and my timing slack. If possible could you make an in depth video on how to change a timing belt on a B series Vtec and how to make sure you have proper belt slack. Love your vids definitely keep them coming
I'll be doing a Non-V timing belt soon, but honestly it's the same as a Dohc-V also. I've changed plenty of both and adjust them the same!
Garage Built Hondas - Sweet I will definitely be watching that video. I wanna make sure my timing is perfect 👌🏻. I love your videos my best friend has a JDM B16A 95 Del Sol Si that we have been building out and the older hatch's and Del sol's have a lot of similarities. So we watch a lot of your how to videos on how to correctly install parts. But the EM1 is 90% suspension and mechanically wise, almost exactly like working on the older Hatch's and CRX's

Garage Built Hondas - yeah take your time. I live in NY and I don't have a heated garage and it's cold as hell right now. So I'll be waiting till it's warmer and less snow on the ground. Cuz I won't drive my EM1 in the snow

I'm sure they'll get more in. Maybe check some other JDM importers. I had a very good experience with JDM Alliance here in Texas. Good price too for my b20!

Thumbs up! Paint looks fantastic, body is straight, thats always the annoying part. Everything else is just wrenching. Bumper is easy enough to replace. Before the words "that bumper.." came out of my mouth that poo poo guy showed up, i LoL'd!

Hmm. I had an ‘88 Barbados yellow crx si. I sold it for $900 and bought a ‘93 civic vx Milano red for $500. I don’t regret it one bit. This civic eg is in great condition! Sun is faded! That’s all.

Thanks for switching up the content and showing us your friend's new SI. The EM1s are really sought after. That one is a great find. Pretty intact for the most part with a few mods like the steering wheel. Is that shift knob from the GSR? Always enjoy your vids man. That EG is gonna clean up nice too.
