yeah, i remember there being comics about all the characters power levels ..and Cap was stated to have peak of human physical perfection beyond that of olympic level athlete.....and he worked out with over 500 pounds in weights..but now they say 1,200 so yeah.oh and that's 1200 on each side of the weight bar..you are definitely right
No bragging, no quips, no flash. Just action and a purity of heart like no other. Always stood up for those who couldn’t and was ready to take on the universe’s most dangerous titan and his army with no backup and a broken shield. God damn.

Everything about this movie is good. The score, the trailers, everything. To me, clearly the best Marvel movie to date and Evans nailed his Captain he is great. Captain America was the most difficult character to tune (Banner close second).

@@majumder456 it's actually very difficult to make him likable, though. His character doesn't have the quips or one-liners to rely on. He's a straight laced guy who is nearly always calm and stoic. That's why you have to give a lot of credits to C.Evans and the Russo's to turn the most "boring" Avengers for most people to one of the most favorite and the most nuanced characters of the MCU.

Imagine getting hit with a metal shield coming at you at a fast speed which was thrown by a guy who is crazy strong. That has to be one of the worst pains ever. Depending on where you are hit, If you somehow live, man it was your lucky day

I know this is minor but I love how at 0:33 Cap says “Secure Channel 7”. It’s shows Cap has adapted to future tech pretty smoothly, and has been on a few of these missions and this is just standard procedure. Then Nat says it too and you see they’ve been working together now for quite a while and the standard procedure is now muscle memory. It’s literally 1 second of dialogue but tells you so much about Cap’s development and him and Nat’s professional relationship.

alan stewart Indeed man! when I saw the first Captain America and Avengers film. I noticed Cap's fighting choreography was quite lacking, but then Winter Solider managed to fixed these problems and made him into a beast hand to hand combat master that he was suppose to be like in the comics.
***** Yeah but if you think about it (now I'm no expert in Marvel comics/films or whatever) but in the Cap 1 he was just a kid learning to fight, and in the Avengers he was practically still learning because of the 70 year learning gap. So now in Cap 2 he's completed his training and is now experienced.
At least, that's how I look at it.

Winter Soldier is just as good as any of the Avengers movies. These Captain america movies have made him one of my favourite superhereoes. Looking forward to part 3.
I agree. Back in grade school and high school, I used to collect X-Men, Spider-Man and Punisher comics. I didn't bother to read Captain America because I thought he was "corny" and too much of a good Boy Scout. Not collecting/reading his comic was a mistake. These MCU films have made me a huge Captain America fan. He's my favorite of the MCU. Chris Evans was the perfect choice and the films have shown that you can be a nice guy and still be a badass.
I think Civil War will be a bit down with Vision and Scarlet Witch.

This movie had the best fight scenes in the MCU hands down. None of that magic, forces crap, just raw power and technique. The stuntmen and fight coordinators did a great job.
Crossbones: watches cap jump into the ocean without a parachute. Something that can crush your bones.
Also Crossbones: has the balls to fight Cap 3 times.

Amazing movie! This just made Cap one of my favorite Marvel superheroes. The fight scenes were on point, his uniform design, and they even highlighted the relationship that developed between Black Widow and the Cap, the plot too!

it's so entertaining watching the banter between cap and widow throughout this scene, she for some reason decides to play matchmaker and he's just having none of it all business, and throughout the whole thing they have enough time to kick a little ass in between

People always say how capt never kills. Well. Seeing by the sheer force of his hits and the one guy he kicked off the boat. There's no doubt in my mind that there are broken ribs, spines and internal bleeding. Capt just basically murdered every henchman on that ship...
I've never heard anyone say Cap never kills. He kills all the time; he's a soldier. I mean he served in World War II, and he used GUNS. Cap kills plenty, and is one of the few superheroes who does.

In this movie Captain America is the leading cause of death to all henchmen between the ages of 20 to 50 and makes hiring henchmen a real pain in the ass especially since you can't even offer them health insurance since they won't survive the encounter and paying minimum wage doesn't seem to cut it when you have to tell your standard-issue bad guys well you're going to have to take some Captain America kicks to the ribs or get a shield in the face but we have an excellent benefits package and a 401k oh yeah we also cover dental because well you're going to need teeth when you're done meeting up with cap Merica
I loved this movie. It shows how much of a badass Cap really is. That first front kick that completely destroyed the guy made me almost made me stand up in the theater.

Cap's shield is more intuitive than Dr Strange's magical cloak
What I love so much about this scene is that it demonstrate's Cap's unbelievable physical power when compared to normal human beings who are all presumably at their physical peaks.
Sometimes it's easy to forget just how powerful Cap really is when we see him next to characters like Thor or Hulk or next to Tony's gadgets. I think the only other scene that shows you that Cap, despite appearances, really is one of the Big Guys is when he gives Thanos the beatdown with Mjolnir.

I'm betting the person that says "The world has changed, and none of us can go back" it older Peggy Carter from Captain America 1. They said a deleted scene from The Avengers in which Cap learns she is still alive will be included in this movie. The voice did have a British accent, and it would make sense for them to have her of all people say that to him.
Now this how you direct a great action movie,...not one cheesy slow motion shot in sight, but fast-paced, hardcore in your face action.

That landing Cap does off of the jet after taking out the engines....smh, the way he plants the shield down as he hits the ground... One of my favorite shots/scenes in all of the MCU movies.
