    I’m 12 and I have eczema on my scalp so I get really sad when I think about it... I have to deal with this all the time, what really sucks is that it started out when I was 7. I didn’t mind because it was on my arm. And now I’m crying quietly because I don’t want my mom to worry. Covid 19 has got all dermatologists closed for 12 year olds so we can’t do anything but moisturize.

      hope you are feeling better now.. what the lady is guiding in this video is very correct. skin issues happen because of heat increase in the body.. for which you need proper and suitable foods to intake to get it back into balance and your skin plus everything within you gets back to normal..
      i am going through this at the moment.. and i am only consuming '"alkaline"" ph g
      food as opposed to acid foods.. and it is making a big difference..
      no dermotologist can help you with this issue .. their medication will only make your health worsen..

    Any tips for not gorging in pure sugar, alcohol and cigarettes as soon as the eczema clears? Not sure why i keep doing this

    • @dawnforlife
      @dawnforlife  4 года назад

      Oh dear..I guess sugar, alcohol and cigarettes addiction are real! So if you've been on it, it will take your body a long time to not crave it. I think you have the power to change your thoughts and that will help. I can only suggest from experience and I'm not an alcohol/cigarette consumer. For me, the way I stay on a healthy path majority of the time is the good feeling of doing good for my body. When your eczema clears, you feel good. Try to remember that good feeling, the freedom and joy it gives you. And when you look at food and consumption, whether body, mind or soul, think about how you can fuel that good feeling. Of course be patient and give it time as bad habits can take a long time to kick but hang in there and find a group of friends or even online fb group or instagram page to help support your journey. What you see helps you stick on the right track too :) If I see sweet yummy desserts all the time, I can't help but crave them too!
      And if and when you really do, always look for healthier alternatives. Treat yourself to something sweet sometimes but instead of pure sugar, go for a bit of maple syrup. I hope this makes sense :)

      Yes, eating fruit is totally great. For me, juicing helps with absorption and it is especially good when not feeling too well and it is less work for the body, so to say. For me fruit sugar is not just sugar, fruit as you say comes with fibre, vitamins and minerals. It is WHOLE and everything in it works together to bring us balanced nutrients that keep us vital. What would you do if you had to reach a protein goal??

    • @dawnforlife
      @dawnforlife  5 лет назад +1

      Plants themselves have protein and if you could get your hands on wild caught salmon fishes, you can have them but we also must be careful with the mercury intake.
      Like I mentioned in your previous comment, it's always a choice of choosing what's really best for you now. Lentils and beans are high in fibre and protein. Heal and then you can go for your meat protein meals. If you can get organic meat which was raised free roaming and fed in nature then you can still have some meat.
      Meat in Ayurveda is heating and so is eczema, so it's good to have opposites to calm down the problem, which makes a lot of sense in TCM and science since meat is also more inflammatory. So, if you have extremely specific needs for work/life, consider seeing a functional medicine doctor/naturopath doctor to help you out.
      I'm only speaking from experience as I don't know your condition much. I hope that helps :)

    • @Anna-io4zh
      @Anna-io4zh 5 лет назад

      dawn for life I’m plant based but I need a lot of protein to maintain my lifestyle! So meats I avoid but I didn’t see beans or lentils and I wasn’t sure if they were inflammatory for eczema.
      So I should try to stick with the more organic beans/lentils/legumes, fruits and veggies?
      I’ve heard soy is bad for eczema but I eat a lot of tofu for protein... is it something about the soy itself or should I just make it organic?
      Thank you for your kind and helpful responses Dawn!

    • @dawnforlife
      @dawnforlife  5 лет назад

      @@Anna-io4zh You are most welcome, Anna! To the first question. Yes. Organic whenever possible and no, beans and lentils are great.
      Soy is a very very controversial topic. If you have to eat tofu, I'd say eat in moderation, fermented tofu (tempeh) and ALWAYS organic because gmo soy has lots of pesticides sprayed on them. And if you can, try to skip them until you are healed, they mess up with hormones.
      Like I said, it's controversial but this is where I stand. For a perfectly healthy person, fermented organic tofu can be healthy but since you are fighting something, I'd say try to cut out for now.
      Hope that helps! :)

    • @dawnforlife

      I strongly think that fruit, eaten whole, its nutritional benefits outweighs that fruit sugar. We must never categorise candy and soft drinks sugars to whole fruit with fibre, enzymes, vitamins, etc. Ayurveda compliant fruit for eczema and those low in GI for your gestational diabetes, and being in Malaysia, I'd favour mangoes, dates and ripe bananas. Apples, pears are also good choices. Organic whenever possible. Hope that helps!
