- Week 2 of my whole food plant based weight loss journey. A hurricane is heading this way and my only concern is that I can't have hurricane snacks. Will I make it? Time will tell, lol. I hope everyone in the path of the storm is prepared and safe!

You have a sense of humor. People are nuts in public. 🌻👣
Thanks! Laughter and smiles get me through everything! 😁💕
It sure seemed that way today, lol, the summer heat makes for some very grumpy individuals. 😅
I really like your positivity! Keep on going, you are doing great! I cannot wait to see progress on your health journey.
Thank you! 🥰💕 It will be just as big of a surprise to me, lol, I can't wait! 😆
Your determination is so inspiring, Andrea! I love watching your videos. Stay positive (even when they honk at you 😉) !!
I hope you got lots of hurricane snacks and you are weathering the storm well!!!
Thank you, Amanda! 🥰💕
I couldn't believe it, I was like...do you want me to swerve around the old lady or what? 😆
@@DiggingForHealth they probably did!! People are wild 😂😂
Hello Ms. Andrea, You are doing amazing! Keep up with a positive attitude! Just keep being you. That is so awesome about Mike's weight loss! It's too hot here in AZ to try and do a garage sale. Everything that's good gets donated otherwise it goes in the trash. Hope you did not lose your power or have too much damage from the hurricane storm. 2 of my brothers live in FL they did not get any flood or damage just the rain. They were originally supposed to be in the middle of the landfall, it went North of them.
TFS! Blessings to you!🕊✝🙏🏼💖
We're doing great! I'm glad your brothers did well too!
❤ you are doing so well Andrea !!! To go on when you a feeling yucky is the key !!! You girlfriend , I’m behind you ! I’ll be praying that the storm passes by quick and no damage !!!
Thank you, Irene! Hopefully it doesn't hit anyone too hard. It seems like a grumpy storm for sure.
Smiles do go a long way! Keep smiling!😁
Keep going on your weight loss journey too! You’re doing great! Consistency throughout your whole lifetime is the goal. 👍🏼
Thank you! 🥰💕
Just found your channel and I love your positive outlook on everything! I have been WFPB for 4 years now and I'm glad to see someone who reminds me of myself. Come as you are, no makeup needed, comfortable clothes. I love it! I am here for your journey girl!!!!
🥰💕 Thank you for joining us on this journey!
Lol, The extent of me dressing up is some earrings and maybe a blouse. Haha, RUclips gets me in whatever I happen to be wearing when the camera is rolling. 🤣
Thank you being here!!
Andrea just keep being you, that’s what we love! Keep up the great work
You're so sweet, Lisa! Thank you! 🥰
Yes! That is the first thing I learned with my first hurricane. The snacks were cleaned out in the grocery store.
😆 lol, I'm crunching on these veggies and wishing they were junk food right now.
I hope all is well where you are!
@@DiggingForHealth oh yes. We are all fine the sun is shining.
@@zaneymay Still raining and gusty here. The power is out on the street behind us but we're coasting right on through for now, fortunately! 😊
Always keep laughing it makes me want to laugh also. 😂
Thinking of you and family and hope all is well with the hurricane.
Lol! Mission accomplished then! I'm glad my shenanigans make you smile! 😁💕
I hope the storm just cruises right on by and I can just happily chomp on these veggies, lol.
30 minutes of continuous exercise!? Dude, that’s freaking awesome! That’s a huge milestone. 🤩
Regarding hurricane snacks; having quick comfort foods is important. Perhaps get some dried fruit, nuts, popcorn, etc. It’ll feel snacky, but still be WFPB. ❤️
I know!!! I couldn't believe it either! I literally started at THREE minutes! 💕💕💕
@@DiggingForHealthWow! Talk about a non-scale victory! Being able to move is just as important as anything else (maybe even more.)
Good morning, Andrea, from Windermere, Florida 9b ❤
We're getting wind and rain 🌧 and Tornado 🌪 warnings until around 6p.m. Good day to organize ❤
We took everything down and in...
just incase.🙏
I hope you guys have little to no fuss.
Keep reaching for your goals ❤
Thank you, Peggy. I hope it's uneventful as well. It sure looks like it's coming right at us on radar though and we will start seeing it any minute now. Our phones went off at 5:30am with a hurricane warning. 🤦♀️ It scared me half to death.
Being mentally exhausted from “peopling” is so relatable. 😂 I always need to decompress a little after being with any big group of people, or especially with strangers in public.
Lol! Some days are especially difficult. 🤣💕 At least I'm not the only one!
You are doing so well. Keep up the good work and keep smiling. Someone may just need that friendly face to make their day ❤
Aw, thank you, that was so kind of you to say! 🥰💕
Oh my gosh! Look at you absolutely crushing the elliptical!! So awesome friend 😎🙌
I can totally relate about it being the tornado & not the Storm itself giving you anxiety. And absolutely we eat the " snacks" during the Storm & not if the power goes out 😅 I don't know anyone who doesn't actually eat their goodies!
A veggie platter with guacamole sounds soooo good!!!
And 60lbs!!! That's incredible!
I'm stunned by how much my endurance has increased from eating WFPB! I mean, I started at only 3 minutes on the elliptical! 🎉
Lol, Right! Those snacks have nothing to do with power outages. 🤣
Thank you for cheering us on!
@@DiggingForHealth just wait! Before you know it, you'll be going faster for longer! You've already made such wonderful progress!!! I can't wait to see you in the costume 😎
@@littlefootranch4410 🤞💕
The heat is the worst but it feels like its cooling down a little. You are doing great!
We still have a while before it cools off more but but it's coming! The storm brought in a little cooler temps for right now though. 😊
Love watching your journey and cheering you on. New follower
Thank you so much for being here for our journey!! 🥰
You are so inspiring Andrea!
8:14 hahaha, oh my gosh people are so rude sometimes. Grumpy bumpies is what I call them…
The weather was hot and humid in Japan and because I don’t live in it I loved it. Like walking around in a sauna. My skin was amazing… 😅
Just getting in a little bit of exercise or completing whatever task is at hand makes me feel so good! 🙌
Hurricane snacks! We have Snowstorm snacks like that… 😂😂😂 There will be no tornadoes your way!
Take care,
Annette 🌺
You're too kind, Annette. 🥰
Grumpy bumps is right!
Lol, it's good for your skin if you actually go out in it, most of us hide inside in the air conditioning to get away from the heat though. 🤣
Fingers crossed nothing too eventful. 🤞
The south has southern hospitality until it gets above 95 degrees. 😂Then the devil comes out. You are so right about eating junk food during the hurricanes. Little Debbie's, chips, cookies. I hope the storm passes through with no major events. I'm enjoying watching your journey.
LOL!! That's absolutely the truth! 🤣 I'm telling you, this heat brings out the worst in people!
I hope it passes without incident as well. Thank you so much for being here!
People suck at times but you be you ❤❤❤
It's this heat, brings the worst out, lol.
@@DiggingForHealth I’m always saying morning hello or how are you to store clerks strangers etc, it costs dick all and most times puts a smile on people’s faces and sometimes even surprised looks and oh hello back 😜
I’m so proud of you Andrea keep up the good work
Thank you so much! 🥰💕
Lol we only get deadly tornadoes so no time for snacks just minutes to run to the shelter in a moments notice so I totally get the anxiety!! Prayers for it to pass without any damage!
We don't have a shelter because the water table it too high here. We just have to go into the closet and hope for the best. 🙈 Scares the bejeezes out of me. Lol
@@DiggingForHealth ugh I know right, so scary because they are so unpredictable!
@DiggingForHealth Maybe you could get a safe room. It's above ground. We live in Oklahoma. So no hurricanes, but tornadoes are a definite thing here.
@@paulabailey9791 it would definitely ease my anxiety if I could!
3 minutes to 30??? You're awesome Andrea !! Hope you and Mike weather the storm ok !!
We just got back from French Lick in Indiana, we stay at the amazing West Baden. Epic birthday present from Colleen:))))
Cheers and congrats
Jason and Colleen 🌱🤞👍😊
I know! I can hardly believe it myself! This diet has quadrupled my endurance!
That sounds like an incredible birthday!! That's so awesome! 🥳🎉💕
There’s no accounting for folk hun they are the reason I stay in most of the time honestly.
You got this hun you’re doing awesome!!! Xox
I try not to let them get to me but sometimes something silly will get under my skin, like the honker, lol. Thank you, Bloo!
@@DiggingForHealth lol honkers tend only to do it once over here cos they end up with an angry Yorkshireman jumping out the car and giving it large you know lol
I live near Houston I totally understand the storm anxiety. I hope that everything is okay for you. My brother lives in Florida I think I’m more worried about him and his wife than they are.
Hurricane snacks - before Harvey I bought a package of gluten free Oreos as part of my hurricane snacks. I swear I ate at least half before the storm even started. It’s like movie snacks in the previews lol.
Lol!! That's so true! I ate some air popped popcorn tonight and it's not even windy yet. 🤣 It was very satisfying though, haha.
I hope your family fairs well through the storm too! Fortunately they build houses really well down there to withstand hurricanes. It's the coastal areas that can be rough because of storm surge. I have a friend that lives right on the water down there and she doesn't leave unless the water is going to come into her house. 😅
@@DiggingForHealth you almost need pre storm snacks and hide the rest lol. Thank you. They live inland so at least the storm surge isn’t a factor. I hope your friend is safe. Depending on where they could be getting 10 foot storm surges. I’ve been watching the weather RUclips. Ryan Hall is the best and I think he’s supposed to do live coverage. I like the no fluff weather not like the news lol
Honk! Honk! 😬🤣. Praying for y’all in the storm.
Haha, thanks Chuck! So far so good! 🥰
I’m watching this and I’m like oh! That’s what’s wrong with my mind lol 😂it’s the clutter!! You’re doing awesome Andrea!!! 😊🙌❤️
🤣 lol! If only I weren't so scatterbrained after tidying the house.
I'm so over worrying about these hurricanes. The tornadoes that can come from them worry me more than the hurricane itself also.
Same! I'm ready to move to the mountains, lol.
@@DiggingForHealth 😆 I'm sure there's different natural disasters in the mountains... I'll stick with my more predictable storms and just complain haha
@@A-G5518 🤣🤣🤣
I'm trying to stay focused on eating only the foods above the Red Line on the Calorie Density Chart. I know these foods are more effective during weight loss. I haven't tried any smoothies yet. Just when I decided to make one, my NutriBullet died. I had to buy a new one. Link to calorie density chart: ruclips.net/video/tSlZLgA66g4/видео.htmlsi=NwgJbRUvkTOxbYWn
Also, I got my T-shirt. I love it. I washed it a couple of times and threw it in the dryer with a dryer sheet, to soften it up. I'm wearing it right now. So cute!
Thank you for sharing the chart! I eventually want to tighten the hatches, so to speak, lol, right now I'm still excited at the end of every successful day eating all whole foods. 😆💕
Yaaay! I'm so glad it arrived quickly and that you like it!! I'm glad it softened up after washing! They spray it to make the image long lasting and it can make it stiff initially. I appreciate your support more than you know! 💕
What a great documentation of progress and the journey. Very inspirational. Im from Miami Florida . Totally know what you mean about the humidity.😂
Lol! You definitely know exactly what I'm talking about then! 😆
You are doing super great!
Thank you 😊
I am with you.
It was an oddly tough thing to overcome but we managed! Lol
Mercy woman ! How dare you stop for a pedestrian! 😆 Except for the couple hours I fell asleep on the sofa while editing, I haven't slept a wink. I was finally in bed when I got the latest update. Have you seen it? 😣 I am a jittery wreck. I've been through two category 1 hurricanes, but I knew the area, and knew I didn't have to worry about flooding. I know absolutely no one here to ask nor do I know anything about whether this area floods or not. I'm more worried about that than tornadoes at this point, and that's saying something. Give me all the unhealthy snacks! I need more! 😂😭😂🙈😬😭 Emotions all over the place. Imma just be over here praying to quiet my brain. Y'all stay safe my friend! 💜
We got an emergency broadcast on our phones at 5:30am that scared me half to death. We normally get those for tornadoes. Mike is asleep again but I guess I'm awake for a long day now. 🤦♀️ I struggled to get to sleep as well.
Saying prayers for all of us. 🙏 Be safe! Everything should be ok. It's just going to be a rowdy storm.
@@DiggingForHealth, guys ...😆 I wish we could do that!
@@mymodernhomestead You're much further inland than I am, right? We're just outside of Savannah.
@@DiggingForHealth , I am, but we are in the core of the heaviest rainfall. I definitely don't have to worry about storm surge or such, but I don't know the rivers and creeks, and the land in general. We would get flood warnings all the time at our other home, but knew I had nothing to worry about. I just know nothing about this area. Flooding from heavy rainfall and extended power outages are my only worries. I know we are between 2 rivers here, but we are far enough away from them to not see flooding from them. I guess the unknown and what-ifs are always scariest. I will laugh at myself when this is all over. At least we are getting broken in right off the bat, and I won't ever have to wonder again. Oh, and the address I have for my channel isn't where I actually live. It's not even the same county. 😆 I'm further east. 🤭
@@mymodernhomestead I will be praying, my friend. I can't remember where I found it but you can usually find maps online that show low and high points in your surrounding area. It may help to ease your mind with a Google search if you're at a higher level.
Stay safe. ❤
Thank you 😊
I can't eat nightshades either, hope you don't have any tornadoes from the hurricane, we lived in Florida over 20 years so I know about the snacks, I need to get on my elliptical
It's so hard to avoid nightshades! They aggravate Mike's acid reflux though, so we're just avoiding them entirely.
I love Florida but I do not love the hurricanes! Lol
Girl I hope y'all are staying safe down there. We are ready for it here in coastal NC. I'm upset because I ordered a box of Brownie mix to be delivered today prior to the storm tonight /tomorrow and they didn't have it! 😭😭😭 I didn't need them anyway but that's my go to hurricane snack! 😂
All is well here! We made it through without losing power and it honestly really took it easy on us though there was spotty power in some areas. I think just a little more rain tonight but overall we're good! 😊
@@DiggingForHealth that's good! I'm hoping for the same here. Either way I got a day off work tomorrow 🤷🏻♀️😂
Stay safe! XOXOXO
Thank you! 💕 We should be ok!
Just found you😊 been enjoying watching your journey! Sorry people are so rude 😢
Welcome! We appreciate you following along with us! Thank you for being here! 🥰💕
Btw I love your glasses!!
Thank you! I need some new ones! I want the same frames again but I've dropped these so many times they're like permanently wonky, lol!
I ate oranges and avocados and drank water for many many days and lost 45 lbs
Wow! That's incredible! Fingers crossed I start dropping a bunch of weight soon! I'm ready! 😁
@@DiggingForHealth Stop eating the junk. Just let yourself eat some junk once every two weeks because it is hard to stop completely. Eat fish and chicken and you can eat some beef and eat vegetables. Don't need any fat and don't eat chicken wings. Every other day just eat like an orange or watermelon or grapes and have a avocado and water. Stay away from the fructose corn syrup. If you get hungry just drink some water and you will fill up. Before you know it you will lose 50 lb. I have 25 more pounds to go. Actually plain popcorn. Popped in an air popper and no butter or salt is actually good for you. If you feel the need to snack the best thing would be either the air popcorn with nothing on it or an orange. Greek yogurt is good for you too. Eating some eggs is fine too you will lose weight if you eat eggs but nothing else no sausage no hash browns. Stop eating potatoes, rice, pasta and stop eating all bread. If you do what I say you will lose weight.
@@DiggingForHealth If you feel the urge to snack have an orange or have an avocado with very finely chopped garlic on it. Garlic is really good for you. Try to drink water, but they say that drinking coffee and tea is also fine but don't put a lot of sugar and cream in it maybe just a little bit. Remember stay away from fructose corn syrup. Read all your labels. It's in soda it's in most juices and it's in ketchup and condiments and salad dressings. If you're having a salad with salad dressing make sure there's no fructose corn syrup in the salad dressing. A vinaigrette or a balsamic vinaigrette would be a healthier choice, you could also put berries or raspberries on your salad.
Oh no!!!
Lol, It's ok. It's good for me to use some self control. 😆
I just subscribed to you because I want to watch you lose at least 50 lb. I lost my 45 lbs in 3 months. Please do it and please do not let me down. I am cheering for you. 👍🏻🙏🏻✌🏻
Thank you! I'm going to give it my best! I don't know how quickly it will come off but it's coming off one way or the other! 😆💕

Eat fruit instead of anything processed.
