Great tutorial. Love the way you teach us to teach ourselves how to create our own patterns ... the easy way. This quilt is darling. The very first thing I thought of when I saw the quilt was the way I use to keep up with all my spools of thread ... I used a 2 x 4 inch board, drilled holes half way through and using wood glue, I placed a dowel in each hole. My spools of thread (different colors together) would drop down each dowel, stacking them one on top of each other and a matching 2 x 4 board, with matching holes drilled all the way through, would slide down to keep the spools in place while they were tucked away in a drawer. The sashes you made ... if you place the 'corner stones' centered and directly under each spool ... it would look like they are on dowels. Funny how something so simple can bring back such fond memories of years gone by.

Jenny, in the drop down info for each tutorial, can you list the actual bkgd fabrics, and collections used? I know collections come and go but to see bkgds (particularly solids) used gives better color evaluations for future usage. For ex: Parchment vs Snow.

I love the quilt but I noticed that you never mentioned what size to cut the length of the blue blocks. I know the width is 1 1/2" to sew to the horizontal background strips that they are apart of. Can you give us that measurement and tell us how many we need or how many strips we should cut of the blue fabric to get the number of blue cornerstones?? Thanks Jenny, as always making things easier, faster, and so much better.

hi jenny. so live your style. I noticed your habds look like hardworking hands. take some olive oil, at the end of your day, and put a little in your palm. rub it all over your hands. if you have an old pair if cotton gloves or socks put them on your hands. go to bed with them on. in the morning the oul eill have given your hands new life. be sure it's a new bottle!!! my husband has diabetes and he does this once a week for his feet. it has kept the callouses away!
thankbyou again for your inspiring tutorials. ardene
