I used to get made fun of for wearing high heels to school and skirts because everyone was in jeans and sneakers and baggy t shirts and tank tops. I became embarrassed and changed to fit in, but now that I’m 20 and comfortable with who I am I love dressing up everyday !
Sophia D you were that girl in high school I wanted to be! Im still in high school and I don’t have the confidence to walk around in heels and skirts I feel like everyone would make fun of me
I was that girl in high school, some classmates started at me oddly, others made fun of me, and some started dressing up a bit more. At first, I was self conscious about dressing up, wearing heels then I realized how I shouldn't care about others thoughts and what they think of how I dress. Be confident and rock your style, be yourself!
i wish i had this option!!! i have a school uniform
@She’s so Lucky it's really just jealousy. They don't have the confidence to show that they care about their looks.
Oh, I wear heels, dresses, and fashion scarves. But then again my high school is pretty chill.
"People aren't really wearing pearls nowadays..." Me sitting here in my pearl choker and pearl accented socks: *sips tea*
My eyes lit up when i read this 😍 i love your style!
Hi
Amen
I hope you're nor drinking your tea from a common old mug 😁
You're too good for the likes of the rest of us :D
When teaching my young daughter how to set the table, I explained that the edge of the knife must always face the dinner plate so that no one gets hurt. That is the essence of good manners… to minimize negative and hurtful emotions in others. Some examples: Jealousy is dangerous for many reasons and we want to minimize the chances of making someone jealous. And many women feel uncomfortable in the presence of another woman wearing clothing which directs sexual attention to her in mixed company, for example. It is good to be respectful of others. Thank you, lovely Anna, for another insightful video!
I tell my children that the fork is the dragon, the plate is the shield, the knife is the sword, and the blade has to face the shield so as to not cut the lovely spoon maiden. Silly, yes, but it works!
@@lindseydorrington8277 Love this; such a cute analogy 😊
Elegance = appropriate for the time and place: formal elegance, casual elegance, hiking through a jungle elegance.

Elegant animal
@@mimminiminiim565 jokes aside being an elegant animal is a thing. When I am in a forest for example, I do feel like a feline, or a wolf gracefully trotting though the tracks, it's an unexplainable feeling of balance between being wild and free, and being soft and delicate
The plum color looks gorgeous on you.
I agree, she looks amazing in that color, it is so complimenting :-)

Pearls soften the hard look of black.
As someone who wears a lot of black I agree wholeheartedly. Pearls take me from Victorian widow to Audrey Hepburn.
@@cameronbennett5085 yes, and pearls come in such variety from the very tiny fresh water to the big clunky and the 3 strands of Jackie O and the big one strand of Barbara Bush and single 5 mm strands of Nancy Reagan. Some classy and elegant ladies wore pearls. Neither Hepburn or Jackie O was old and Nancy Reagan always dressed on trend while being classy. Barbara Bush took the advice for her age based on with KJ Lane told her and it looked good for her style and her age. We can choose accordingly as these ladies did.
I think pearls fit more the romantic-elegant style, thus she's pointing out the musts of the elegant-elegant style.
I love pearls. I have several lengths and love the really long look now. I think it brightens the face and makes your teeth look whiter. It is also easy to wear.
They are hard to wear when trying to look modern. Either you look old or royal / aristocratic.
I have always worn pearls ….I believe they are extremely elegant and classic…. there are also many different style of pearls and I think they all add a very special feminine touch 💕
Thank you, Anna! I agree with your suggestions. A little tip: I occasionally wear Spanx but purchased 2 sizes bigger than my size. The Spanx still hold me in just fine but don't squeeze the life out of me! With pearls, it depends on the jewelry style, type and color of pearl, and your overall look. The world of pearls is huge--many different sizes, shapes, and colors. I've worn barque Thai pearls with casual outfits but reserve my traditional round pearls for evening.
I love pearls, real pearls have many different colors in them and look rich, lustrous, and enhance a woman’s skin. There is a reason why pearls are classic and have always been so desired.
I think pearls are perfect and enhance any skin color as well. Just beautiful.
For sure. I love pearls. Don't agree that it is old fashioned to wear pearls. They are gorgeous.
Personally, I love pearls more than diamonds or other gems, especially in neck pieces.
Love pearls too
Baroque pearls are gorgeous
I’m a size 2/4, and I still wear spanx. Just because you’re skinny, doesn’t mean that you are smooth.
Amelia Etienne Thank you!! I wear spanx with any dress that is fitted to my body. It’s how I was raised. Plus I wear hosiery if I go to church or dress up for dinner. I have no problem with this.
Yes! I'm a size 4/6, and I still wear them also. I've had 3 babies by csection and unfortunately my tummy shows it.
😂😂😂
Im plus size and I don’t where spanks because my stomach is pretty flat for a plus size women
I dont have it but i have soft chubby inner thighs
So this shapewear is needed in my life when im wearing dress
Just so my thighs don't get Bruised
My grandma was very elegant. She used to do her fine laundry on mid-high heals and wear hosiery at all times, even in summer. One more thing she used to do was to wear a beautiful scarf on her hair when going out on windy days or days where there was a lot of dust outside. She was incredible careful with her hair and her hair was always very clean and had a wonderful smell. I always loved her shoes and her purses. She was so classy in all aspects.... I love pearls so much, specially only good quality, real pearls. I will never, ever wear fake pearls. Thank you for another wonderful video🌺

I'm 23 and I've always wear pearls, because I found them so classy and elegant even with a simple dress. I wear pearls ear rings since I was little because my mom found it cute and classy, and now I love it!

I prefer her earrings. Pearls are very specific otherwise they can look more dowdy than ladylike.
“I can’t take anymore body parts!” I completely agree. Too much of it out there! 😮
Absolutely! Less is more! I blame pornography, and burlesque type culture in entertainment! If you put it away a bit more, there is value in mystery!
Cat On a mushroom pornography I agree with! No good comes from that, everyone is so against edited ads and advertisements but no one realizes how altered and edited all of those scenes are. But as far as burlesque goes, being a vintage enthusiast, even burlesque was about the mystery, the possibility of what could be seen and waiting to maybe catch a glimpse....women now adays put everything on full display, I think not even really understanding why, and there is no mystery or illusion. It’s all out for anyone to see
@@sirenelectric143 - Yes, I understand your point and have edited my comment. I am also a vintage enthusiast. I guess I meant the pornification of even that type of entertainment, it's not erotica, it's too much. They have grabbed anything in that vein and pushed the sexual aspect into fashion, and visuals in movies and music videos. The stylised sexuality is so overdone, it has totally lost any appeal. So what I meant was the porn has appropriated burlesque and erotica, and corrupted it. There is a paedofilic tone to it, eg. Victoria Secrets, and advertising, photographic modelling looking for younger and younger, and overtly sexualising them.
Ladies, my employer sent us to finishing school. The appropriate manners, the untaught customs, having my colors done, applying subtle make up, learning modest and demure behavior, has released career success for me. The business and human resources look for the keys that are taught here as being desirable traits of well-employed people. The keys that get you in the door!
MARILYNANDERSON88 Can I ask what finishing school? Are you in the United States?
@@chaes2040 " The business was Avante", a private agency that was located in Sacramento, California. I recently met with the retired owner, and he said: "I like the way you walk." ... Much of their income was from portfolio management and photography. This aspect made it difficult to be profitable providing the finishing school training in the now world of self promotion, so the valuable modeling and spokes model training is lost. I see your niche as having value in creating an advantage for any person regardless of of career, and especially communications and executive leadership.
MARILYNANDERSON88 it’s like training puppies
@She’s so Lucky Thanks for asking! Having 'colors done' is attending a session by a 'color specialist' that is a person who is educated and has a method of comparing your skin and hair color to colored squares of cloth, or different color backgrounds of your computer screens to your own color of skin hair and eyes, and chooses the colors that flatter and enhance your own natural colors. People look really pale, or grey when wearing their 'off colors' and look vibrant and healthy when wearing their special colors, due to the way our eyes see. It is a scientific method to help people see you in your best light! For example, light golden blonde takes away all the color in my face, however ash blonde gives me a healthy glowing skin color, subtle yet important! Saving money and looking great due to a tiny bit of color by purchasing the best colors for you is the way to go. Have fun!
@She’s so Lucky Hi. You can easily pick up a book such as "Color Me Beautiful" for a clear, concise explanation of how to determine which of the 4 "seasons" your coloring falls into and select your color palette accordingly. The benefits of effect, time & $$$ saved is amazing. Check it out. You'll be do glad you did!
For my wedding my Mum in law gave me pearl earins, brooch and necklace that used to belong to her mother. I wore it at my wedding, and I am wearing it with jeans and jumper now, I think pearls are super chic and go with everything really 😊
Totally agree
Generally speaking, after a certain age bare legs are hard to pull off. Veins become much more noticeable, skin is not as firm, and it just doesn't look as nice as wearing hosiery.
Try body makeup. Sally Hansen airbrush legs is incredible, I couldn't live without it. Perfect for summer when it's too hot for tights.
Exfoliate, workout, moisturize like your life depends on it and work out and train your legs

Why I continue watching this channel? 😄 I don't chase rich men, I think I'm well off in terms of elegance and the way I dress, but I come and watch every video from 1st minute till the very end. Why? So YES, here we go again! New video from Anna ON! 😄😅😅

She looks like the lady that catches everybody attention when you go into an restaurant. Amazing, elegant and successful
I have always been impressed by how women used to dress in the -early 1960’s. They spent time pulling a look together and looked head to toe polished and feminine. Much attention was paid to how clothes fit, the quality of fabric and it being well made. The majority of women wore girdles regardless of their weight ( talk about uncomfortable!), heavy duty support bras, pantyhose, and slips with skirts and dresses. Undergarments were made to suck, tuck, and mold the female body into an hourglass shape. Fashion now has gone in completely the opposite direction. Cheaply made clothing of poor quality and no regard for fit. Loose sloppy looking shirts, crop tops , holey jeans, skirts and dresses worn with bare legs. Clothes are designed for comfort not style.
Women in the 60s did not work.
Thats the work they had
Even in Europe,
@@UltraYNK my mother worked, took care of us and her parents. She made the effort. By the way she ironed too and cooked every night.

I personally think we better skip spanx and never skip gym
Zhanel Sh If that works for you, enjoy. For many, however, this is neither realistic nor desirable. Even while staying fit, many, many women will still feel the need for Spanx or will still be deemed in need of shape wear. Women have babies and their bodies naturally change. In general, most women have squishy parts. We evolved to survive famine, not to look sleek in a sheath dress. For most, our lives are better spent staying healthy, accepting the rest, and getting back to work.
A smooth silhouette is elegant, but it can be achieved with the right clothes and the right fit.
@@edoboleyn Not mention there are a variety of reasons that someone *can't* go to the gym. And there are medical reasons why a person can't or shouldn't wear Spanx. I 100% agree that you can get away without wearing Spanx or being a slave to the gym by being clever about the cut of your clothes.
@@sweetyetunrefined9335 I agree! I have had two children I have a squishy belly because of stretched out skin. I use the cut of clothes to redefine my shape by hiding my belly, look balanced on the bottom and not large in shoulder. I am a firm believer that clothes should do your bidding for you, not you trying to stuff yourself into clothes.
Lol agreed!!!
Mere C healthy and fit is better though. I am not perfect, but I will never wear spanks. Just weird. Sorry.
I'm a male and I've watched a lot of your videos. What intrigued me initially about your channel was my curiosity about what advice a sophisticated woman would/could give other women about becoming more attractive to (wealthy/successful) men. Were your suggestions just a bunch of baloney or were your recommendations really worthwhile and useful? Speaking as a successful (retired) man, I'd say you almost always hit the bullseye or are always pretty close to the mark.
I'm particularly impressed with the thought you put into the advice you give. You always give a well-thought out explanation and the reasoning behind your particular position/recommendation. I also like your central premise that it's important to strike the right "balance" in one's approach to everything really and to avoid both extremes. It's unusual to hear someone argue so articulately in favour of following the middle path. It's not an easy sell but I think it's very sound advice. Congratulations on a job well done.
Donald Speller I agree, her reasoning is really what gets through to me
Welcome to the elegant ladies club Donald! 😁
I just turned 30 and I love wearing my pearls, I fresh salt water pearls! I wear them at least 3 times a week. I think pearls are so chic and timeless.
True. Especially earing
Pearls are timeless.
I totally agree, When I know I will be walking a lot, I wear pristine white sneakers with khakis and a polo shirt or with dark jeans and a cashmere sweater, I don't think that sneakers are not elegant, it's the way they look and how they are integrated into an outfit.
Right when i was thinking "good, she's validating my nike's!"

I love pearls I have an antique 3 layer thin strand necklace it is beautiful, with matching stud earrings. I must wear it more!
I love pearls but my mom says I look like a grandma in them. 😭
@El perhaps start with small pearl stud earrings or a necklace with pearl accents instead of a string of pearls? Pearls also come in many colors now, pink, purple, even black.

I am still in high school and I love Anna because of her fashion tips and how to be a lady but I am not trying to be extremely elegant because it would be too much for college of school.
I want to only have sparks of elegance not too much (like hair and nails always done, a little bit of makeup that suits my face, nice coat or two (well shoes and bags too but my country is poor so I can't afford designers things))
Pearls are definitely having a moment in the USA. Not so much in traditional necklace form but in headband, earring, accents on clothing, etc. I absolutely love them and so glad this is trending here. Thanks for your lovely video :)
Same in Australia. Pearls have been everywhere for at least 6 months now here. Handbags, hair clips, earrings, necklaces, shoes.
I received my first pearls when I was 10yrs old
I strongly disagree about your opinion on pearls. A lot of young fashionable classy women wear pearls. It depends on the style. Pearls are elegant especially the gem quality ones like South sea pearls.
What country do you live in? I live in Holland and I haven't seen anyone

I wear a lot of pearls of different colors i find that elegant not old fashioned. I live in North africa
@@imenefleurbleue4461 I gave one string of real pearls and one strand of fake pearls. I love them.
I’ve always loved and worn pearls. I wore them when I was young when nobody else wore them but secretly wanted to. I wear three strands sometimes and a string of pearls around my wrist. I do believe pearls are for the day and diamonds are to be worn at night but diamonds can be worn in the day as well. My thoughts are that if you are wearing what you love in a tasteful manner or it happens to look great on you then you are enjoying being a woman and expressing your true sense of style and that my friends is what all ladies want to do. That is how beautiful trends get started (not tacky ones). Being a woman is a great gift and I don’t want to dress like the status quo but in the direction my imagination leads me.

When I was little I learned from my mother and grandmother to always wear hosiery, apart from the times when you wear sandals. Never wear hosiery with sandals! So there you go: in the summer we go bare legged because of the sandals, and in the rest of the year we wear hosiery.
I’ve seen women wearing coloured hosiery in the summer with sandals 🤮.

i feel so special being referred to as an 'elegant lady' 🥺🥺💖
Men are allowed to be elegant too 😁
@@carolannemckenzie3849 thank you (:
The point about the hat surprized me a lot. I was always taught, that wearing a hat inside is rude and impolite (I‘m german-polish). My family as well as school were very strict about this. Wearing a hat during dinner would have never crossed my mind!
wearing a hat indoors reminds me of the Victorian era.
yes! i would actually think its kind of rude to wear a hat during dinner.
Wearing hat inside is banned for men. Women can wear hat even in the church.
Osteopauli I’m also German-Austrian and my grandfather would scold even grown men for wearing hats or hoods indoors, I could never imagine wearing a hat indoors
That rule only applies to men. Women have always been allowed, sometimes required, to wear a hat indoors. For example, in Europe, it's still required for women to wear a scarf or a hat in a Catholic church. Traditionally, it was considered modest for adult women to cover their hair indoors and outdoors every day.
"There is just too much cleavage in this world." Hilarious.

So very glad you mentioned pearls... my daughter's wedding which was this past weekend 14 bridesmaids looked very beautiful with pearl earrings of all different styles myself included.... and looked very effortless and elegant... they are coming back for sure!
I am 46 and definitely think it is good to stay on top of trend BUT make sure it works for your body and is tailored for you. Mixing classic pieces with things that are modern is a great way to make sure you're not getting into an old lady rut.
“Everywhere there’s flesh, flesh, and body parts!” 🙈

Cassandra Last so true😹
I love free show on beautiful bodies.
Jajajaja
Cover up!😂😂😂
Most of these rules are really about the way a lady should look, in order to fit in polite society. Fashion changes over time. Inner elegance, of carriage, behaviour, demeanor, and inner nature, is timeless. 💛
I once heard If you show one thing everything else should be covered. For example if your back is out everything else should be covered
I think it makes sense.
sashakimi31 I like this.
It depends on so many variables, I guess...
Exactly, I used that rule for most of my life and it works like magic. I notice, that if I wear shorts with a shirt (button up thin and not tight one, as well as not too sheer) I always look so good and put together, better than just tank top and shorts. Or when I'm wearing something more revealing at the top, I tend to wear pants or midi skirt to balance things out. It is perfect formula, same as - one voluminous item with the "slim fit" one, or as one print item with solid color item. The simple but well thought out looks always make person look elegant, her clothes look more high end.
Sve Tiko This is great advice! I took a little screenshot of your comment to remind myself. 8p I used to wear pencil skirts and sheath dresses above the knee but I’ve been sold those on and replaced them with slightly longer options. If I wear a mini skirt, I feel more comfortable in a light, loose-fitting sweater.
It’s all about proportion, in size and shape but also in the skin you show. I mean, when you’re dressing normally. If you’re at home, you’re choring, or it’s too hot, I say put on whatever.
You are soo right about the hosiery. So many, if not most women do not have flawless legs. When I see women wearing a nice dress and they have bare legs, with the usual flaws, I think why would you ever go out like that when you could just put on some nude hosiery and cover all the flaws and have beautiful smooth legs. It's almost the same thing as having a filter on your camera.
Anna, I love how you bring class into the world
I love how you have standards without being judgemental
We aim to be more like you and elevate our standards!!!
You do great work Anna, thank you!!
I love pearls. In fact, my first jewelry purchase as young a child was a pink-pearl necklace from a dime store. Now I have real pearls. I never have enough pearls. Earrings, necklaces, and bracelets, in every color and size.
I love them too! My 19 year old daughter does also, and to my surprise, when I returned to college last year, I discovered many of my younger classmates love pearls and wear them daily, but not exactly as their grandmothers did, there are many nice options today.
Good evening ladies🌷I am a lady in the latter part of my 50s.. Yes, I wear pearl earrings everyday because I love them. I love timeless attire( I don’t show cleavage much) and I look 15 to 20 years younger than I actually am 🌷A younger lady that I work with is always trying to re-do how I look with the “eyebrows and nails” in which I’m perfectly happy with the natural tones that isn’t as noticeable as the ones she likes me to wear( I have to keep reminding her, I’m not her age). I love your videos, not to attract an affluent man or relationship, but to refine myself as a feminine lady, and to be a beautiful reminder to the man I love, that I will always stay in good shape, and dress like a classic woman would🌿🌷🌿
I am turning 50 this year and finding my preferences are now switching to more neutral and soft. It's a natural progression. I used to have an edgier style since I was a teen in the 80s and very influenced by the new wave music scene. It's quite cute that your young colleague is trying to relate to you in this way, even if you are in different stages of life. I'm really into aqua fitness and I love the camaraderie and support in the change room afterwards. We have women of all generations running around in various states of undress and sharing tips and tricks about undergarments or hair products or whatever. A few cheeky jokes here and there, all in good fun. All health and happiness to you and the man you love. I have that too and wish everyone to have real love in their lives.

I love pearls!I I think we can update their look by getting creative and wearing them in unconventional ways. For example,we can wear a pearl necklace as a bracelet or hair accessory. It depends on what we're wearing, what we're doiing and our personal style. We can even wear them as hat accessories! 😁 The sky is the limit when it comes to wearing pearls in a way that is elegant yet creative, unique and practical.

Spanx sound like those old-fashioned girdles I heard about when I was a little girl. Horrid!
What? I love pearls... Their definitely coming back in fashion
I never got their leave notification
@@sarahsarita4852 😂
sarah sarita Pearls have re-entered the chat 💭 🤣
I never knew they left
I agree, they are extremely in style right now and have made a huge come back - especially the “baroque pearl” look.
I wear my pearl earrings all the time and don't feel old 😂
Me too!
Me too
Pearl earrings are the epitome of elegance!
Me too I find them classic and lovely
Count me in on pearls. They don't have to look matronly or old.
I love pearls, I think they are classy.
I just wore a pearl necklace with a lace dress on my baby shower few months ago. Got so many compliments. Depends how you dress pearls.
Pearls look very good on the executive office look. I wore gray pearls necklace and tiny diamonds for earrings for a job interview and I totally nailed it 🍀. I am 33
what to wear when attending to very casual occasions, like concerts, food festivals, carnivals etc.?
Perhaps a longer, flowy summer dress? There are a lot of nice choices. :)
Yes ...I want that
I’ve been loving Reformation dresses for casual occasions!
I knew about the nude stockings and I recently added them to my wardrobe as I level up. I find myself reaching for them each time I wear a dress. I didn’t know about the diamonds and pearls rule but I’m up for the challenge to find a way to add pearls into my outfits 💎✨
Hi! I have brown AA skin tone and its unbelievably hard to find stockings in the right shade for me, so im wondering where do you buy yours from?
kierra w I’d recommend Hedoine or Nubian Skin
@@Ao__32 Thank you so much! 💕
@@Ao__32 That was very helpful, thank you! Ill have to check them out.
@Levelup boo Yes, I agree with you for the same reason. I would prefer my stocking be a true nude.
I would LOVE a video about where you get your clothes, favorite brands etc.!
Hosiery wearer here! At first, I got comments about it, but now people just know it is part of my every day elegant look.
I love when she says “my dear elegant ladies.” 👑
Love pearls, they go with everything & add class. When i'm in a hurry & don't have time to pick & choose, i tend to grab pearls, easy choice.
This video is so true and again am I the only one who notice Anna looks so beautiful and elegant in this video... Plus I love those earrings
Stocking in cold weather and formal events..I'm called an old lady because I'm 20 and still wear them to church, interviews etc
Stockings make a woman's legs look beautiful. Women who don't wear them are really missing out.
Agreed. I would never wear bare legs to church, even in the summer and even in a maxi skirt. I'm traditional Catholic and we do so much genuflecting and kneeling and bowing. Too much movement and awkward positions to risk a wardrobe malfunction.
Yes, but if you’re having an intimate encounter they can be mood-wrecking. When I HAVE TO wear stockings, I wear thigh highs and a garter belt. I feel like whomever invented pantyhose HATED women.
Oh yes, date night is much different than church, hehe. That is a good point.
I do love, and have pearls. Have some family heirloom, and I wear some of them. Mostly earrings or a pendant, rather than a necklace, but sometimes for formal events it works, with a dark dress.
You're wearing a color that looks absolutely beautiful on you.
Back in the 60s that was elegant dressing with the hats gloves pearls.Jackie Kennedy And Audrey Hepburn was so elegantly.
Wearing all that made young women look older than they were.
FOR ME...... SPANX is a requirement under many of my dresses and sweater dresses....you look FIRM and SOLID and don't shaky shaky as "women's" bodies naturally do....Also I still wear SLIPS and it helps also...I buy my slips from amazon as you can't find a slip in most stores.
HAPPYTOWN LEADSTOMYHOME yes! I recently purchased a bunch of dresses that were not lined and they look so vulgar. I had to get some spanx and appropriate undergarments
I agree esp if your belly button imprint will show through the dress.
HAPPYTOWN LEADSTOMYHOME Slips will make most garments look better made. Additionally, seeing women’s garments clinging to personal areas below the waist is not elegant.
Slips really do help a dress to "flow". It smooths you down and for some women, it might be all the support they need (if you're small).
Hi happy Town, whe I buy a new dress, I always buy undergarment for this dress as well. Then I put both on a hanger. So there is never a problem with hemline or neckline. M & S thankfully are outside of UK, found one in Dubai, close to Deira. Wonderful every day underwear, comfy bras. They recommended some bras that are best ever for me.
I don’t wear heavy sneakers outside the gym. But I have some cute light fashionable light sneakers for when I have to do a lot walking.
Nofretari I agree. I think clunky running sneakers should never be worn out. They just clash with everything, even casual jeans
What brand are they? I’m looking for cute ones. 🙃🤗

This month,I turned 67 and love what she's talking about.Elegance really matters for most of us .
We're very conservative type and follow rules of fine dressing. These makes sense.
Dressing up accordingly is very important, so with good manners.
When we all start our capsule wardrobe I will keep a pair of capezio shoes, an espedril sandal, an over knee boot & a pair of kitten heeled sling backs 💕 + hosiery!!!
Since Anna did he color consulting, you can tell a difference in her outfits.
I love your look today, it's just breathtaking 😍😍😍
I love pearls that are done in a more modern way, such as mixed with other gems. I also have a necklace with a section of pearls on a braided leather cord which is nice to dress up a casual outfit.
I'm a pearl girl. There are many pieces that do not look old and matronly.
I have found sizing up with Spanx or similar items makes them far more bearable and actually smoother...however them or hose in Arizona when it’s 110 or more 🥵 may not happen! And yes, a pair of drop pearl earrings would look amazing with what you have on! Flight attendants always have two pairs of shoes, one for in airport when people can see their feet and a comfortable pair on the plane when they don’t but still in compliance.
Thanks for sharing all this tips with us. The world became sort of tacky nowadays and it's so refreshing to have someone on RUclips reminding and explaining about style and elegance
I like wearing a pair of pearl earrings.. i feel like it brightens up my face 😊
Pro tip on pearls: Single-strand necklaces with same-size pearls are really difficult to pull off. It's not so much that they make you look old, but they were the most popular style in the 80's and thus look rather dated. If you want to wear pearls, you might want to look for a *vintage graduated pearl necklace* with more than one strand, but of relatively small pearls. They are very dainty, easy to wear, and because they were exceedingly popular in the 1940's and 50's, there's plenty of high quality imitation pearl necklaces to be found in internet marketplaces for next to no money. I have a double- and a triple-strand graduated pearl necklace (both vintage faux pearls nearly indistinguishable from the real thing) and I get complimented each time I wear them.
Yes, you are right, and also the single strand/size in a flattering colour to your complexion, can look pretty with a vintage outfit. A cardigan used as a sweater? It's something you can wear as an heirloom piece you have inherited. One of those things that can be a conversation starter. Always wear those things that are passed on lovingly, unless you really dislike them! Just try to find the right combination. If you are confident in your own eye, you can make your own rules.
You can wear two pairs of pearls sets together if thin and single strand
Yes you are SO right. I bought a 19” graduated strand of saltwater pearls and they go with all my 18” necklaces or by themselves. I wear them all the time.
I love using shape wear to tuck tops into trousers so that I have a smooth seamless look, it really elevates the outfit. You look absolutely stunning in that color by the way❤️
just dress and act accordingly in that way you will be elegant ✨
“An expired bag belongs in the cemetery” 😂🤣😅
Hey Anna!
I'm super into fragrances right now. Can you do a like top 5 elegant fragrance? Or your favourite fragrances? Thank you and Love you! ❤
My grandmother would spray a bit of her perfume up into the air and walk under it. She said this gave her the right amt w/out being too much
Every fragrance makes a different chemistry in different skin. What suits some will not suit yours. You will need to find what smells elegant on you.
S O yes
That’s a great idea tho. How to use fragrance elegantly.
I absolutely LOVE the original Chanel Chance. I repeat, the original - not the new formulations. It's a bit heavy and I definitely save it usually for night in the Autumn and Winter, but it's very unique, and smells like nothing else I've ever tried. I can't even describe the fragrance to you, you'll just have to test it somewhere for yourself :)
Anna, darling, where did you get your fabulous top/dress? It's absolutely gorgeous! Thank you.

That aubergine color is fabulous on you!!! Question: if one is wearing shorts, is hosiery still required?
shorts are only for the beach..
:)
@@Chahlie
that's right..
and also the shorts that looks like a skirt from the front...
Skip on wearing shorts all together.
Shorts are for girls under 18 or the beach/pool. A dress or skirt is far more elegant.
I wore shorts with hosiery in jr high and high school in the late 80s-90. It was a very popular style. I don't think I've worn shirt since I was at least 20. They do not appeal to me. Even at the beach I wear skirts or dresses as cover ups.
I live in the Southern part USA - pearls are a sign of a ladylike lifestyle. It’s a cultural thing, and they are highly valued!!
Some cultures really do value pearls.
