Brawl may have the worst combat of all the smashes, but in terms of theming/atmosphere, campaign mode, stages, items, and music, it will always be my favorite. Of course, though, none of that matters in competitive.
Came back here 'cause I'm reminiscing just how united all of smash was when PM was out. Turn the Tides has a very special place in my heart :) Never stopped listening to this for over a decade.

This remix makes me think back on the good old days of brawl for me so fondly. I wasn't a huge gamer until the switch came out, and I grew up playing the wii until the switch, and i never got a wii u. I remember I first heard about smash when smash 4 came out, and I sae that there was one on wii so I got it. The only characters I truly, knew were the mario and pokemon characters, and sonic. I recognized Link, Kirby, and Pit (because my older brother had kid icarus for gameboy) and the rest were completely new to me. From there I learned a bunch of the names of the characters through the story mode, and started to care about characters I had never once played the games of. By the time the switch came out, I started getting into new franchises, such as zelda, with breath of the wild, fire emblem 3 houses, super metroid through the online, as well as many others. So brawl will always hold a special place in my heart for being the stepping stone between a mario fan and nintendo fan, and eventually just a gamer in general.

I didn't really play this game when I was younger. I never was, and still now, am not really into smash. Yet, this is so nostalgic. I don't know why, but it is. Brawl is one of the few games that make me feel so nostalgic, even if i never really played it or was there to see it. It's just a part of us. To look back at the past and ask ourselves "Was it better back then?" This song just always feels good to listen to, to make us look back into the past. The art, the music, is just so entrancing. Someday i'll truly know what nostalgia really means. But, at least this showed me just what a small glimpse of it really is.
