Actually... No. First, I counted all of the obvious "Close to Me's" Way more but i didn't add them. Then I added all of the echo's saying "Close to Me" And I got 81. About 60 Close to Me's.
What I like about that boss fight in JSAB is that the friend is still aware when he's corrupted by the pink. Like he's crawling towards you for help during that one section before he gets corrupted again.
But then gets saved, and dances happy and wears two triangles bc why not, and not sad, and revived a shattteted triangle to save the word and wants it back

well actually it is quite repetitive, adding instruments to the same pattern, and sometimes using simplier patterns to make a kind of a break, but Sabrepulse made sure it is not boring in any way. I personally like it, and it is good even now, 7 YEARS later after it is posted on RUclips.
Love how in JSAB in this boss fight it constantly says close to me, yet almost every attack becomes easier when staying closer to the boss instead of farther away.

Unlike most people here, it wasn't Just Shapes and Beats that made me discover this bop of a track. There was a custom Beat Saber chart, and it was easily one of the most fun customs I have ever played. Insane streams, super fun wall gimmicks, and of course the track is a bop.
When I watched the passage of this game, I was so sorry for this blue cube. Especially in the part where he crawls, and saws are spinning behind him. This song is very atmospheric Since I am Russian, I watched the Russian passage. But I still got hooked on the songs, and the plot of this game

I want to talk, or more so likely what this song hits me more than being emotional boss fight to a cube friend (yeah, I talk about JSAB nostalgia). When it was around 4 years ago, I discovered this game by the time in cafe at young teenage. I clicked on the video playing one boss fight about this song and I thought it was total banger for me. Days and months later, I stayed for the game's bossfight, story and.. fanart (the good ones). A bit overdramatic, but in conclusion; thank you for being part of my memory

I never knew that an old song could be revived from the “pit of nearly forgotten songs from back when” and be used in a video game in a boss battle that’s just you getting close to a cube that’s your friend and that saves you at the end of the game with defibrillator triangles on his head. ...Well, like they always used to say; *THE MORE YOU KNOW*
I think this song perfectly encapsulates the feeling of having to fight someone you once knew, whether it be because of mind control, manipulation, or true betrayal.
I suppose it could have been a person close to the singer. I don't really know. Not enough information has been given for me to make a trually accurate conclusion on the situation here.
How I interpret the battle in jsab: At the start sadboi (the sad square) is slowly heating up and turning red, growing mechanical appendages and slowly changing into a demonic form. The battle consists of him throwing stuff at TS (teal square) and destroying the factory (the giant cog is him kicking a cog out of it's place to mash TS, etc), and his tears are molten iron, by the end he manages to take TS by the neck and then snaps out of the trance, his expressions through the whole battle would mimic those of a violent episode.
Sad boi was corrupted just like everything else but was sad because he was trying to hurt his friend. That sadness was what shined through his corrupted state to show that he was still there and could be cured
After playing this song a thousand times I can finish it with an A - Rank :D But I love how emotional the bossfight is, this song is a frickin masterpiece

In my opinion this was the hardest boss level in Just Shapes and Beats, a true endurance run with a surprisingly emotional atmosphere.
Definitely the boss I struggle with the most. Not because it's really that hard, it's just so freaking long.

How I interpret the battle in jsab:
At the start sadboi (the sad square) is slowly heating up and turning red, growing mechanical appendages and slowly changing into a demonic form. The battle consists of him throwing stuff at TS (teal square) and destroying the factory (the giant cog is him kicking a cog out of it's place to mash TS, etc), and his tears are molten iron, by the end he manages to take TS by the neck and then snaps out of the trance, his expressions through the whole battle would mimic those of a violent episode.
Wow.
Sad boi was corrupted just like everything else but was sad because he was trying to hurt his friend. That sadness was what shined through his corrupted state to show that he was still there and could be cured
