I've never been able to get my hands on a Majora's Mask game, but listening to this literally just gives me a vision of how sad this scenario could be if you think about it too much. I'm back for the first time in three years, I wanted to say that these zelda remixes were some of my favourite things to come out of this franchise, and perfectly captured everything I felt from the series itself. Dj Jo never missed the mark.
This remix just screams 'We know the world is going to end. We can't do anything about it, so let's spend the last night of Earth having the time of our lives'. Extremely depressing and awesome at the same time.
You cannot deny the story telling, the emotion, the depth, the futility. This song conveys the feeling of dread, that feeling when you turn back time. All the people you helped, the places you've saved, that world, is gone, and you must try to save it this time. The clock is ticking, time is turning, and only you can go back and try again.
I don't know how you did it but you've truly captured the fear that's within the townsfolk in Majora's Mask and created a beautifully executed remix. Good job.
Amazing song! And to some people in the comments, the moon isn't moving down, rather the entire image is. It starts at the bottom of the image, and slowly pans to the top.
Fierce Deity:...A satanic moon? Nobody got time for dat...I'm gonna slice it! Moon: DON'T DO IT Fierce Deity: I'mma Do IT! MOON: DON'T DO IT! Fierce Deity: TAAAAAAAAAAAH! *Slices the Moon In Half*
The beginning reflects that feeling of there's nothing you can do, the moment when you give in, and realize you've lost, and you can't do anything more than accept your fate.
People are born into this world innocent, ignorant. Unaware of what lies before them. The weight they will have to carry as they grow up. The mistakes they make throughout their lifetime, always there. Coming back now and again to remind them of the terrible things they've done growing up. Lies. Broken promises. Lost friends. Deceit. Betrayal. People learn the hard way that they'll rarely ever truly be happy because of the mistakes they have made, no matter how small. These mistakes will stay with them for the rest of their life, never allowing them to have peace. It is for this reason that people start to wear a mask of sorts to fit in. To belong. To seem strong. One mask for joy, another for sympathy, etc. At first people only occasionally wear these masks. A bad day at work. They fought with a friend. An argument with a family member. But the masks get harder and harder to take off. The mask starts to replace you, and what's left is just an empty shell just going through the motions of daily tasks. There is still hope for these sorts of people, though. A family member. A friend. A pet. Someone, or something, in this world that is able to remind them that there is still good in this world. Something able to make them, if only briefly, feel happy again. Only then are they able to take the mask off that they've grown so used to wearing, and reveal who they really are. Someone who wants to belong. EDIT: I'd like to elaborate on this a little. Growing up, I was not a perfect child. I didn't have perfect parents. My father was off trucking, leaving my mother by herself to take care of me and my brother. I have autism and my brother is bipolar, so we fought a lot. I was a violent little shit with no social skills, so I didn't have any close friends. Due to my mother's inability to adequately support my brother and I, and due to a neighbor who didn't like us making stuff up to the county, my brother and I were forcefully taken away and moved from foster home to foster home. This was the worst time of my life. Years passed, and my brother and I ended up in a treatment facility. The people there were indifferent, harsh, and didn't care to understand why we were the way we were. My mother visited when the facility allowed it. One day, finally, my grandparents on my father's side decided to adopt us. Fast forward to today, and I'm living with my father in an apartment, and have a job. My brother and I see our family regularly, and are well off. Things won't stay bad forever. No matter how bad things may get, it will always get better. Do not let the weight of the world bring you down, for you are stronger than you know. Even if you don't realize it at the time, you do have family and friends who care about you, and will be there to help you get through the darkest of times, and help you smile when you can't find a reason to.
Brilliantly written sir. A toast is in order for those lost within the void of insanity due to horrible mistakes or just a bad life that they blame themselves over, let us hope the masks do not consume them into the void of mortality.
There is a way trough life that does not involve a mask. But to get there you'll have to throw away many thing. Like the idea of hate, envy, and evil. Doing this for some people may be hard
nah, for me, unlike the original theme that is used for the inminent destruction (and it sounds like it, cause is more eerie and sad), this one is like we are witnessing all the chaos and destruction the moon is causing as its hitting the ground.
This reminds me when I was playing majoras mask and I could feel the characters emotions as though I was in termina seeing the moon coming to destroy everyone I knew.

Asking someone how they feel, and taking the time to listen to what they have to say, can really make all the difference in the world. Sorry if you don't like these short stories I made, something about this song and this game just makes me feel inspired to type something down. I see the masks in the game as a representation of what people want to be, who they are, and what they fear they will become.

Next time you pass by someone, whether they look happy or sad, ask them how they are. Because it may turn out that despite the joyful mask they wear, that they are hurting inside. Asking someone how they feel, and taking the time to listen to what they have to say, can really make all the difference in the world.
Sorry if you don't like these short stories I made, something about this song and this game just makes me feel inspired to type something down. I see the masks in the game as a representation of what people want to be, who they are, and what they fear they will become.
this is quite meaningful on how you put it and very true not a lot of people are feeling the same when they put in their mask.
Zeldon567 holy shit that was deep
Weeby McGitRekt ikr things just got deep
I was trying to compare the masks in the game to the masks people wear in everyday life, how is that not related?
*Applauds* well done @Zeldon567
I have listened to this song for 5 weeks straight now No LIE!!!
Coming back 5 years later and remembering how in love with this remix I was 😩😩 still just as godly 💜
Sounds like something out of Metroid. Especially Metroid Prime!
Dr. Pug +1 like for the totally fuckin hilarious profile
I like how much this sounds like Aural Psynapse and a couple other Deadmau5 songs, but it works so well. Great remix.
Me when playing Majora's Mask. "Screw the world I want to listen to this XD!"
then you lose a mask :(

This is by far, my favorite thing you have made. Absolutely amazing.
