@DazjDolphin-ko8qm Thank you for supporting the channel it's really appreciated! Enjoy! There is the first run video pinned in the comments! Skate park!
@retrorider80sbmx23 MT10, in my opinion, is a great car, but the quality is nowhere near as nice as the mini maxx interms of the chassis. I've got an MT10 on the channel. Just my personal opinion!
I have the flux xs and have a mini maxx pre ordered. I've been told I can pick it up the 29th when the hobby shops are allowed to release them. I will do a comparison video. From a working on it aspect I did a unboxing of the local hobby shops demo model and the mini maxx looks like it will be a lot easier to work on. The flux xs I've sent over 30ft into the air and crashed well over 50 times. I plan on testing the mini maxx the same
@Mikey45013 I've just recorded the mini maxx running video. It's tough! I've run it 0 degrees Celsius, and the plastics held up, except one part. 😂 video out Wednesday!
@SingermanRyun we are seeing a lot of small RC cars trending and seemingly to be very popular over the last year! Ever since Wltoys and MJX came on the seen it's seems to have popped off well for the smaller scale bashers.
So they are not going to be officially released in the United States for another 2 weeks but today at the RC race track I run at the manager from HobbyTown was there and he had the store demo and we put some of the big sprint tires on it and ran it on the track it was a blast I can't wait until I can get myself a green one
@beandean356 I've not had it on 3s, so I couldn't give an honest opinion. However, if you just ran in a car park flat ground, surely it would hold up. I understand that jumping it can cause an issue. But like I said, I've not tested it on 3s. There will be an upgrade for it at some point, and once that's available, I would probably say go 3s with the upgrades. Until then, enjoy it for what it is.
@fonicgaming6787 They were available on pre-order. 1st batch was released in very small numbers for pre orders. The next batch will be more widely available
So, for any RC newbies in here, I'm about to blow up this entire conversation. Search the HPI Savage Flux XS. A 1/12 scale mini basher, 65MPH OUT OF THE BOX, superior durability, and it cost 300.00 USD. The Mini Maxx? 35 MPH OUT OF THE BOX, no slipper or center diff, AND YOU HAVE TO PAY GET THE SPEED AND EXCITEMENT THEY LIST ON THE BOX. You're gonna need a center diff or slipper clutch, pinion gear, and possibly a stronger ESC. That's gonna run another 200.00, total cost for 1/12 scale RC 450.00 fking USD for a rough estimate.
@@kevingalea92 The V1 had a slipper clutch issues where the grub loosened, i have the V2/ 're-release" no issues at all. Its so fast and durable I only run it on 2S.
Great truck but in my opinion the worst customer service from a manufacture. My experience was that bad I wouldn't ever buy a Rlaarlo again. Some decent cars nevertheless.
Very cool looking truck. Yeah I'm same, only shout out the stores I use, and localish to me, we do get screwed in UK with distribution 😢, nice video mate 👍🏻
@RCvapor cheers, Ben. I appreciate the support! Unfortunately, UK always gets left behind. I believe UK stores did not get their full orders. Just enough to go cover x amount of stores. Next delivery will be in the new year.
@rcjoe406 They ain't cheap, that's for sure. But they do come with the battery charger, etc. Also replacement parts are cheap to buy, I guess which reflects in the buying price. 🤔 I was on the fence but glad I did buy it.
@rcjoe406 It would have been nice for them to give customers that option! It's a bit like what Arrma did with the Gorgon. They offered it with a battery and charger, without a battery and charger, and a kit form.
@thercstore. I just think you can get a granite blx which isn't that much bigger and will be 50 mph out of the box and be able to handle it, I have one, it's really fun. The max is like a granite with shorter wheelbase and width but same height or maybe higher so physics tells you that it's not going to drive great. The mini slash was even worse with that big 550 can, it was a rollover machine.
@allyoucando8486 From my understanding, if it was sold as different options, it would appeal to an even larger crowd. Such as options without battery and charger or as a roller or as it is.
Fair comment! I agree it's expensive for what it is. But let's face it Rlarrlo destroys itself with poor customer service. Arrma currently don't have a comparison the same scale. However there Grom's blx seem awesome but its way smaller in size. I actually have one on order 🤔 If your looking for best bang for bucks yes the mini maxx isn't the car. But if you want cheap parts along with support and service I can't fault the brand. If you have been following the channel for some time you would know I was dead against Traxxas. I left being bias behind to give honest feed back and I've never looked back.
Decent, but im putting that 250.00 towards one of Arrma's newly announced 6S or 8S rigs. As soon I nearly got sucked in by traxxas, Horizon Hobby times their announcement a week before this mini maxx drops LOL. Personally, I'll stick with the ROG1 for my mini bashing. Still not a bad offering from traxxas, I believe it's still a tad overpriced.
@spenn2007 let's see what Arrma pulls out the bag! I'm looking forward to seeing what they have cooked up! Hopefully, it's something totally fresh! I get that the mini maxx is overpriced in comparison to the ROG1. However, I would always pay more to get that customer service and parts availability. I believe this will be a good hit for Traxxas!
@MCLERC88 The Groms are a lot smaller than the mini maxx. Can't even be compared due to the size difference. I'm personally not a fan of the 2 in 1 esc receiver combo Arrma has released, but if it works, it works, I guess. As long as you're enjoying the car and hobby, that's all that matters. Everyone will have their own opinions, which they are entitled to, I guess.

This or brushless Arrma grom
I'm still waiting on my brushless grom.

By the time you get it to 3s it will be 500.00 and un driveable, the weight is up high so it flips over a lot, it's really good at nothing
@chriszak3282 which is a fair comment! I personally would only run it on 2s, and as far as a mini basher goes, it's cool.
